Belfast Giants produced a stunning comeback to beat Elite League runners-up Cardiff Devils in sudden death penalties at the Cardiff Bay Ice Arena.
The Devils were two goals ahead inside 92 seconds as wings Sam Smith and Jeff Pierce each scored early on.
Craig Peacock scored for Belfast before Brad Voth restored the two goal lead.
But Brock McBride and Mark Garside scored for the Giants in the second and third periods before Belfast claimed an amazing sudden death penalty win.
