Manchester Phoenix start new season with two wins

Manchester Phoenix have begun the defence of their English Premier League title with two wins.
On Saturday, Phoenix won 5-2 at last years Premier Cup winners Slough Jets.
The next day, two each from Martin Cingel and Stephen Wallace, followed by an overtime strike by Tony Hand, gave them a 5-4 win over Basingstoke Bisons.
Player-coach Hand said: "There is obviously a full season of hockey ahead, but we have made a good start against two strong teams."
