Hull Stingrays defenceman Dmitry Rodin is expected to be sidelined for three weeks with a knee injury.

The Estonia international, 36, sustained the problem during the second period of the Stingrays' 3-2 win over Fife Flyers on Sunday.

Rays coach Sylvain Cloutier told BBC Radio Humberside: "Dmitry has to wait three weeks for a scan and they think there's some damage in the knee.

"We're going to miss him as he's a calming influence back there."

He added: "We also have a 20% success rate on the powerplay and he is a big part of that."
