Belfast Giants will be without leading scorer Benoit Doucet for the rest of the season because of a knee injury.
Doucet suffered ligament damage in Saturday's 6-4 win over Braehead when he fell after clashing with Clan opponent Sam Zajac.
The injury occurred as the match officials were attempt to break up the fight between Doucet and Zajac and a linesman fell on the Giants player.
Doucet's leg took the full force of the linesman's fall and he was injured.
The Canadian forward confirmed on Monday that he will be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.
Commenting on Twitter on Monday, Doucet said:"Well season over. Some people gotta learn how to do their jobs before something like that happen(s) again."
Doucet scored twice against Braehead in the Elite League/Challenge Cup game at the Odyssey Arena.
