Nottingham Panthers survived a spirited Dundee Stars comeback to win 5-4 and earn a fourth consecutive home victory in a thrilling Elite League tussle.
Panthers were in dominant form as they built a three-goal lead in the third.
Jordan Fox and David-Alexandre Beauregard found the net in the first and although AJ MacLean replied, Rob Lachowicz and Guy Lepine made it 4-1.
John Dolan's brace gave Dundee hope but Jeff Heerema made it 5-3 and Panthers held on despite Brennan Turner's goal.
Lepine told BBC Radio Nottingham: "It wasn't pretty or one of our best games but at the end of it we have two points.
"Sometimes it's hard to play these games when you think you can go a little bit easier.
"We didn't stick to the game plan and that hurt us a little bit."
