Coventry Blaze made sure it was a disappointing start to the season for Scotland's representatives in Britain's Elite League.
The English side won 3-2 away to Dundee Stars on Saturday and followed that up with a 4-3 home win over Fife Flyers.
Champions Nottingham Panthers completed a bad weekend for Dundee with a 5-1 victory over the visitors.
In Challenge Cup Group A, Braehaed Clan and Edinburgh Capitals each had a win and defeat - and Flyers one win.
That win came in a 2-0 home win over Capitals, who recovered to beat the Clan 4-3 the following day.
Braehead had earlier edged out Belfast Giants 3-2.
