Nottingham Panthers have signed experienced Canadian forward Bob Wren for the 2013-14 season.
The 38-year-old has had stints in the NHL but has most recently been playing in the Austrian top flight.
Panthers coach Corey Neilson told the club's website: "He is a key signing for us. He is a skilled forward with a lot of vision and hockey knowledge.
"He's very keen to join us and his enthusiasm for winning is another key factor," he added.
"I remember Bob leaving me for dead in the juniors with his speed and skills.
"His numbers have been very good on every team he has played for and we can't wait to see him plying his trade in a Panthers uniform."
The left-hander has also had spells in Germany's DEL and Bundesliga.
