The Belfast Giants bounced back from their 3-2 Elite League defeat away to Nottingham Panthers on Saturday by beating Hull Stingrays 3-2 on Sunday.
Kevin Saurette gave the Giants the lead in the first period and Dustin Whitecotton had extended the lead by the end of the second period.
Jereme Tendler and Derek Campbell scored to level for hosts Hull but Calfin Elfring netted the winner.
The Giants now lie second, two points behind Dundee with a match in hand.
On Saturday night, the Giants suffered their second league defeat of the season as they went down to Nottingham.
Former Giant Brandon Benedict gave the Panthers the lead, but Chris Higgins replied to leave the scores level at the end of the first period.
Chris Capraro nudged Nottingham ahead after the second period.
Mark Garside restored parity for the second time in the game but Matt Francis grabbed the decisive goal.
Giants coach Paul Adey was afforded a warm welcome by his former club prior to the match.
