The Belfast Giants beat Hull Stingrays 3-2 at the Odyssey Arena to secure a 7-3 aggregate success over two legs in the quarter-finals of the play-offs.
After a scoreless first period, two goals from Carl Lauzon saw Hull take a surprise 2-0 lead in Sunday's match.
Colin Shields pulled one back before the end of the second period.
Kevin Saurette on the powerplay and Darryl Lloyd found the net in the third period to book Belfast's place in next weekend's play-off semi-finals.
The Giants had enjoyed a morale-boosting 4-1 away win over the Stingrays in the first leg on Saturday night.
