Head coach Corey Neilson has praised Nottingham Panthers' defensive grit after two wins at the weekend sent them top of the Elite League.
Panthers only let in one goal, shutting out Hull Stingrays 4-0 away and winning 3-1 at home to Coventry Blaze.
The weekend double means they are one point clear of Braehead Clan and Sheffield Steelers - and Panthers have a game in hand on Braehead.
"We're an excellent defensive team," Neilson told BBC Radio Nottingham.
"It's a true Panther team - it blocks shots, it gets dirty when it needs to."
"I really like what we are doing. We used to win games 9-8, but this is a different team."
