Belfast Giants duo Kompon and Westgarth handed one-match bans

Belfast's Mike Kompon will have to sit out Saturday's game in Coventry

Belfast Giants players Mike Kompon and Kevin Westgarth will miss Saturday's Elite League game against Coventry after being handed one-match bans.

Kompon was given his ban after being found to have verbally abused an official during Belfast's game against Braehead last Saturday.

Westgarth was banned for his role in a fight which broke out during the game against Cardiff the previous night.

Belfast are fourth in the table seven points behind leaders Braehead.

The champions will also face Coventry at the SkyDome Arena on Sunday evening.
