The Belfast Giants take on Coventry Blaze on Saturday as they try to end the season by lifting the silverware at the end-of-season Play-off finals.

Steve Thornton's men take on Coventry Blaze in the second of the semi-finals being staged at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham.

The BBC Sport NI website will be streaming live commentary on the game which starts at 17:00 BST.

The other semi-final sees the Hull Stingrays take on Sheffield Steelers.

Belfast have won five of their eight encounters against Coventry in the league this season, including a 2-0 victory at the Odyssey Arena two weeks ago which was the first win in the Giants' current four-game winning streak.

However, coach Thornton warned: "Coventry have been the top team in the league since Christmas.

"But the players view the Play-offs as the one they want to win.

"They want to go home and celebrate winning their last game of the season. It is something we really want."

Belfast are looking for their third Play-off title after winning it in 2003 and 2010.

Thornton and current defenceman Robbie Sandrock were players 12 years ago, while in his first stint as coach Thornton was in charge for the success five years ago.

BBC Sport NI's Nigel Ringland will be joined by Belfast Giants forward Kevin Saurette for the live online commentary on Saturday's semi-final.
