Nottingham Panthers have re-signed Canadian forward David Ling for the rest of the season.
The 40-year-old was a key figure in the club's success in the 2012-13 season, scoring more than 100 points as Panthers won the Elite League title, the Challenge Cup and the play-offs.
Ling has played nearly 100 games in the NHL and more than 500 in the AHL.
"He knows us, we know him, he knows the league and he's inspirational," coach Corey Neilson told the club website.
"This is another key signing, it could prove to be the key signing."
Panthers are top of the Elite League table with four wins from five games so far this season.
