Belfast Giants made it three wins in three days with a 6-2 victory over Edinburgh in their final Challenge Cup group game in Scotland on Sunday.

David Rutherford scored an early opener for the visitors and Pavel Vorobyev levelled before Mike Quesnele restored Belfast's first-period advantage.

Steve Saviano added the third with Jabob Johnston pulling one back before James Demarais made it 4-2.

Third-period goals from Desmarais and Jonathan Boxill sealed victory.

Andrew Dickson made his first start of the season and his performance in net helped the visitors to the win.

Derrick Walser was the healthy scratch as the Giants aimed to complete their Group A campaign with another win.

Belfast had already clinched top spot to advance to the quarter-finals, where they will face Manchester Storm over two legs.

The Giants enjoyed a 4-0 win over Fife Flyers on Friday and 24 hours later they defeated Elite League leaders Cardiff Devils 3-2 at the SSE Arena.
