Elite League highlights: Cardiff Devils 6-4 Braehead Clan

Cardiff Devils coach Andrew Lord has no complaints about a gruelling holiday schedule facing his team.

Wednesday's Ice Hockey Challenge Cup quarter final first leg against Guildford is the first of seven games in 13 days for the holders.

After seven straight wins the Devils are in confident mood.

"It's where you want to be, battling for titles, right in the mix, big games every other night and I think we're up to the challenge," Lord said.

"You get into a rhythm and this time of the year has been good for us for a couple of seasons now and I hope this year will be the same.

"The next month will tell a lot about our season."

Devils won the Elite League and Challenge Cup double last season, and are currently top of the league table following wins over Sheffield Steelers and Braehead Clan at the weekend.
