Guildford Flames came back from two goals down to earn a home draw against Cardiff Devils in the first leg of their Challenge Cup quarter-final.

The visiting cup holders took command of the match through Sean Bentivoglio and Matthew Myers.

Guildford pulled one back through Brett Ferguson in the second period, but defenceman Drew Paris restored Devils' lead.

But Ian Watters power-play goal and Jez Lundin brought Flames level.

The result leave the quarter-final delicately poised ahead of the return leg in Cardiff on 10 January.

Devils are back on the road on Friday in Scotland to face Braehead Clan, before returning to Cardiff on Saturday to host Dundee Stars.
