Scottish judo medal hope James Austin will miss this month's Commonwealth Games because of injury.
Edinburgh-based Austin, 31, was one of five Olympians in the home squad, with the sport returning to the Games for the first time since 2002.
Austin was to compete at the 100kg weight, along with team-mate Euan Burton.
However, he broke the news of his withdrawal on Twitter, saying he was "absolutely gutted".
Born in Litchfield but resident in Scotland for the last seven years, Austin suffered a first-round exit at the London 2012 Olympics.
In 2013 he won the World Cup in Minsk, the European Cup in Bratislava and came second in the British Championships in Sheffield.
This year he took bronze in the Pan American Open in Uruguay.
