Sam Charlton: As a Sunderland fan, I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed... M'Vila should have been done and dusted.

Theo: Trust #Klopp but hard to see how our left-back situation is OK. Hope he sees something in training that we don't.

The Global Voice: Islam Slimani will prove to be the best signing of the window. The Desert Foxes Slimani & Mahrez will dominate

Kyle: As a Newcastle fan delighted to get 30 million pounds for an average player in Sissoko who was abject last season.

  5. Don't take away the music

Strangest story of deadline day comes from Italy's Rai Sport.

It claims that Serie A side Chievo tried to sign former Southampton and Juventus striker Dani Osvaldo, but he told them he had retired from football to focus on his music career.

    Middlesbrough

    Alvaro Negredo

Middlesbrough signed Alvaro Negredo, Victor Valdes, Calum Chambers and Viktor Fischer among others this summer.

    They have done well. Agreed?

  7. One happy man

    Middlesbrough

  8. Never say never

but...we think that is your lot for any major signings tonight.

    Thoughts?

  9. A clearout

  10. BreakingDONE DEAL

    HRK joins WBA

Hal Robson-Kanu - scorer of that superb goal for Wales against Belgium in the Euros - was a free agent and has joined West Brom.

  11. The missing ingredient for Spurs?

    Danny Murphy

Former England midfielder on BBC One

"I don't think that a few good games at Euro 2016 warrant the £30m fee that Moussa Sissoko has been valued at, certainly given the form that he showed for Newcastle last season.

"But what this Spurs side needs is pace and that is what he provides. He has the raw materials and Mauricio Pochettino will relish getting his hands on him. He could have a really good season there."

  12. Luiz back

    Chelsea

David Luiz has signed a three-year deal back at Chelsea. We didn't see that one coming until 24 hours ago.

  13. BreakingDONE DEAL

    Luiz back at Chelsea

  14. Luiz a good deal

    Jermaine Jenas

Former England midfielder and BBC football expert

Regardless of whether David Luiz is first choice or not, Chelsea sold him for £50m and got him back for £34m, it is a good deal.

  15. 'What could go wrong?!'

    Sissoko to Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Alan Fisher, Tottenham On My Mind: Lazy, detested by home fans and Arsenal’s his favourite club – what could possibly go wrong? Moussa Sissoko will quickly find out that Pochettino accepts nothing less than 100% every game. This culture at Spurs will do him good and enable him to be a better player. He’ll bring strength, experience and presence to our midfield as well covering several midfield slots. The money’s irrelevant – that’s the current market and it’s within available funds. Pochettino wanted him and Levy responded.

  16. Bourne again

  17. 'Brave move for Wilshere'

    Jermaine Jenas

Former England midfielder and BBC football expert

Bournemouth is a fantastic move for Jack Wilshere. It is a very brave move for him, it would have been easier for him to move to Roma. Bournemouth will be a shock to him at times but the way Eddie Howe plays his football, Wilshere will fit right in.

Everything will be on the ground and go through him. The important thing is for him to get games. If he went to Roma, it would have another season out of the radar. We want to see him in action, he is a talented boy.

Aaron Theaker: Has the fax machine broken at Stamford Bridge?

The move for David Luiz was agreed a few hours ago - we are now awaiting confirmation of its completion.

  19. You remind me of me...

    Danny Murphy

Former England midfielder on BBC One

I think that Stoke manager Mark Hughes will like Wilfried Bony - he plays a little like Hughes himself used to, roughing up defenders and causing problems.

  20. 'Good move for Hart'

    Jermaine Jenas

Former England midfielder and BBC football expert

Torino is a good move from Joe Hart. He has not just accepted sitting on the bench at Manchester City and collecting his wages. He has pride built in him and the character to play football and maintain his England number one shirt. Torino has given him the chance to do that.
