  1. That's a wrap

And, with that, it's time to bring our text and radio coverage of today's County Championship action to a close.

We'll be back with the third day at Cheltenham tomorrow.

    Until then, goodnight.

  2. Essex all out for 333

having reached 304-6, Essex's innings has come to a rather abrupt conclusion.

Josh Shaw finished with 4-72, and the visitors now lead Gloucestershire by 78 runs at Cheltenham.

That's also stumps for the day.

  3. ICYMI: Lyth hits 202 as Tykes draw with Surrey

As we continue to wind down for the day at Cheltenham...

Earlier on, Adam Lyth scored the fourth double century of his career as champions Yorkshire drew with Surrey at The Oval.

The 28-year-old left-hander resumed on 116 not out on day four and reached 200 with a six off Stuart Meaker, before being caught behind next ball for 202.

His 291-ball knock helped Yorkshire to maximum batting bonus points and 407 all out, a first-innings lead of 140.

Surrey got to 106-1 in their second innings, opener Dominic Sibley making 54 not out, before a draw was agreed.

  4. 100 for Misbah-ul-Haq

    Pakistan 261-4 v England

At 42, Misbah-ul-Haq becomes the oldest man to score a Test century at Lord's since 1926.

Pakistan are 261-4 against England, and you can click here to follow all the action if you so wish.

  5. Wickets tumbling at Cheltenham!

    Essex 304-8 v Gloucestershire 255

Dan Lawrence's resistance is over at last, as he's dismissed for 127 by Kieran Noema-Barnett.

And Graham Napier's stay at the crease is a great deal shorter, falling to the same bowler just a couple of deliveries later.

Nine overs left in the day.

  6. 100 for Lawrence

    Essex 269-6 v Gloucestershire 255

Dan Lawrence has reached three figures for the third time in first-class cricket - and all at the tender age of 19 years and two days.

Quite an effort, is that. Essex lead by 14 runs at Cheltenham.

  7. Essex 251-6 v Gloucestershire 255

There's just the one county match to keep our eye on today now then, and Essex have moved to within three runs of Gloucestershire's first-innings 255 with four wickets remaining.

Dan Lawrence has been the star of the show - he's 87 not out from 139 deliveries.

    Surrey 106-1 & 267 v Yorkshire 407

And that'll be that. The captains shake hands and the inevitable has happened at long last, a draw between Surrey and Yorkshire at The Oval.

  9. 50 for Sibley

    Surrey 106-1 & 267 v Yorkshire

Dominic Sibley, by the way, has also managed to bring up his half-century - from 130 deliveries.

  10. Even the keeper's having a bowl!

    Surrey 105-1 & 267 v Yorkshire 407

Now then, what's this?! Yorkshire wicketkeeper Andy Hodd has removed the gloves and he's having a bowl.

Two no balls and a couple of fours later and his over goes for 14.

  11. Surrey 75-1 & 267 v Yorkshire 407

The match at The Oval continues to cruise towards an inevitable draw, as Zafar Ansari (19 not out) and Dominic Sibley (35 not out) bring up the 50 partnership.

  12. Up and running again

And we're under away again at both The Oval and Cheltenham and, as before lunch, there's not been a huge amount to write home about.

The Surrey run rate has, at least, picked up a little bit and risen to a frantic 2.32.

  13. Tea

All four teams are currently sipping cups of tea after a fairly uneventful afternoon.

Essex are 192-5 after 52 overs, while Surrey reached 39-1 off 20 overs - a run rate of just 1.95.

  14. The partnership is broken!

    Essex 182-5 v Gloucestershire 255

That's twice I've done that now today.

Having just poured praise on the two batsmen, Ryan ten Doeschate promptly falls to Josh Shaw.

  15. 50s for Lawrence and Ten Doeschate

    Essex 182-4 v Gloucestershire 255

A couple of Essex half-centuries to tell you about, as Dan Lawrence and Ryan ten Doeschate both reach the landmark to continue their side's recovery.

The pair have now put on 102 for the fifth wicket, as Essex trail by 73 on first innings.

  16. A milestone for Lawrence

    Essex 156-4 v Gloucestershire 255

  17. WICKET Burns (c & b Rafiq) 14

    Surrey 20-1 & 267 v Yorkshire 407

At last, some action on the county circuit!

Rory Burns has been sent on his way by Azeem Rafiq for 14, caught and bowled.

Surrey are still 120 runs behind on the final afternoon.

  18. Broad back in business

    Pakistan 134-4 v England

    Stuart Broad

At Lord's, England's seamers continue to plug away on a surface offering not a great deal of assistance.

Stuart Broad has just taken the fourth Pakistan wicket to fall, Younus Khan his victim.

Click here to follow the action.

  19. Surrey 11-0 & 267 v Yorkshire 407

Surrey have made a slow and steady start to their reply, cruising to 11-0 after three overs.

Essex, all the while, have moved to 134-4. All in all, there's not a huge amount going on in the County Championship at the moment.

  20. The 100 is up for Essex

    Essex 107-4 v Gloucestershire

Down at Cheltenham, meanwhile, Dan Lawrence has moved on to 28 as Essex move past the hundred-run mark.

    They trail by 148 runs.
