  1. Goodbye

Well, that bodes well for the rest of the series. A thrilling match - there may have only been 293 runs scored but you don't need a glut of boundaries for a gripping one-day international.

We'll reconvene for the second match of five on Monday with TMS commentary on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra from 15:15 BST and, of course, live text commentary right here.

Thanks for keeping us company. Cheerio for now. And well done England.

  2. Wyatt named player of the match

And Wyatt was rewarded for her efforts on a bowler's pitch with the player of the match award...

  3. Wyatt laid England's winning foundations

Let's not forget the contribution of Danielle Wyatt (below) with the bat, who top-scored with 44 to help England recover from 62-5.

  4. England win by five runs

It was a slow, turgid wicket but what a game it gave us.

A superb performance from England's bowlers.. here are their figures:

    Brunt: 9.2 overs, 3-24

    Sciver: 4 overs, 0-17

    Ecclestone: 9 overs, 2-28

    Marsh: 10 overs, 2-36

    Hartley, 9 overs: 3-26

    Knight: 3 overs, 0-8

Ecclestone so, so impressive on ODI debut and Laura Marsh also superb. And Katherine Brunt's experience coming to the fore at the death.

It's been a brilliant game, England will look at the fact they couldn't pierce the gaps early on, so I think you'll see more from England's top order in the next game, but it was all about the spinners. A lot of room for improvement from both teams - but it's been a brilliant day's cricket.

  6. England win by five runs

What a performance to claw that back. Don't forget, West Indies were 53-0 after 15 overs before England's spinners turned this game around with Sophie Ecclestone, Alex Hartley and Laura Marsh all picking up wickets as the hosts fell to 100-7.

It was the pace of Katherine Brunt that provided the coup de grace though. A tense, tense finish and England held their nerve just when the Windies looked like they were going to get home.

They didn't get wickets up front like they wanted, but they got them in the middle period and kept believing. Katherine Brunt has finished the game with a brilliant spell of bowling.

  8. WICKET - England win by five runs

Giddings lbw b Brunt 3 (WI 144 all out)

Katherine Brunt has done it, trapping last batter Erva Giddings bang in front with her third wicket! A five-run win.

    England, understandably, absolutely ecstatic.

  9. WI 143-9 (target 150)

Will Sophie Ecclestone get the winning wicket on her ODI debut? A single for Campbelle brings Giddings back on strike, they go for another and an overthrow brings a bonus run for the Windies. They think about another quick single, Giddings comes down the track, thinks better of it but she could have been a goner if Marsh had picked up cleanly.

Seven needed for the hosts. One wicket for England.

  10. WI 138-9 (target 150)

Last batter Erva Giddings has come in without a helmet. That's brave. Or possibly just foolhardy.

The left-hander swings at a wide one and Brunt goes for a full windmill celebration - she's sure she's won it with an edge behind but the ump is unmoved.

A wicket maiden. What will Campbelle do? Perhaps time for death or glory with the number 11 at the other end.

It hit her quite high and looked as though it was heading down the leg side, but perhaps she had shuffled across her stumps. Katherine Brunt has done it!

That looked leg side-ish - I was about to describe how it had gone for leg byes, but he gave it out!

  13. WICKET

    Connell lbw b Brunt 2 (WI 138-9)

Not very well, it turns out. Shamilia Connell is given out lbw trying to flick to leg.

It wasn't the most convincing appeal. England may have got a bit lucky there. But will they care? Not a bit. West Indies need 12 runs, England one wicket.

  14. WI 138-8 (target 150)

Sophie Ecclestone still giving the ball plenty of air. This has been a cracking match. Who needs a run-fest?

A maiden over from the 17-year-old. She's bowled superbly. And now Heather Knight is turning to Katherine Brunt. How will these tail-enders cope with her pace?

  15. Post update

    Lydia Greenway

West Indies have got themselves into a good position. Campbelle has taken responsibility, and taken risks which have paid off. But, one more wicket...

    BBC Test Match Special

At the moment, this ninth-wicket pair are carrying the Windies towards victory.

  17. WI 138-8 (target 150)

Can Marsh makes amends with the ball in hand? Campbelle gets a thick edge to an attempted drive and that's a very streaky four. The Windies won't care though. They only need 12 now with two singles added.

  18. WI 132-8 (target 150)

Sophie Ecclestone is brought back. This is on a knife edge.

The umpire signals no ball but it's not Ecclestone who has transgressed - Laura Marsh was outside the circle in the powerplay. That's so sloppy and offers up a free hit and Campbelle says thank you very much and smacks it over long on for the second six of the innings.

That might prove a crucial moment in deciding the winner of this match.
