    BBC Test Match Special

More from Moeen Ali to the TMS podcast: "Teams know we have a very good side, a dangerous side. We know we haven’t got many games before the World Cup but we need as many games like today, tight games, as possible. It’s only going to be good for us.

"You don’t want to lose games badly or be cruising in games, you want them to be tight so the guys have to handle the pressure both batting and bowling. The first game we should have won but we sort of buckled under the pressure and we shouldn’t have done that. It’s been a fantastic series."

  6. 'No score is big enough for us'

    BBC Test Match Special

Moeen Ali talking to the Test Match Special Podcast: “It was another amazing game. There have been three quality games, some amazing cricket, some top batting obviously and some great death bowling from some of the guys. It was a tough game today, because the wicket was amazing and the ball flies here but it was a great win.

“It’s difficult for bowlers. I felt, as a finger spinner, that I was going to get murdered here today. Some of the guys bowled really well, it was difficult. Some of the guys went for some runs, that obviously happens in T20 but it’s about believing we can chase that and certainly we have that.

Did you have the belief at the interval: “For sure. We beat them in the World Cup chasing 230, we’ve certainly got that belief. No score is big enough for us."

Alex Williams: Can't think of a better T20 series than this one. Pure entertainment from start to finish.

England captain Eoin Morgan, speaking to Sky Sports: "It has been an extremely satisfying series. We started the series rusty and lost a game we should have won so I'm proud of the guys for the way they have fought back.

"When you have got guys at the top like Roy, Buttler and Bairstow, they are so destructive and set a platform for the rest of the batters."

On Jos Buttler: "He is one of our greatest ever white-ball cricketers. I realise why people talk about him so much, but not why some of it is negative.

"He's got as much ability as AB De Villiers, who took a long time and a lot of games to get going in a South African shirt. We need to back guys like him, with his talent, and support them."

Jacob Wadsworth: Absolutely brilliant, embrace this period, we won't see anything like we've seen in the last four years again, so good.

Kevin Ticehurst: Get in there England, our bowling wasn’t great today. But it just shows you how far we have come in five years under Morgan, that result will give other countries a look over their shoulder. Is there anything we can’t chase down?!

  10. Post update

More from England head coach Chris Silverwood, on his relationship with Eoin Morgan: "We spend a lot of time talking so we make sure the same message is coming across. He is calm under pressure and has been there and done things."

  11. Post update

England head coach Chris Silverwood, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was hard work for the bowlers out there. It was a good wicket, the ball travels here and with the size of the boundaries, it was always game on at the halfway stage. The grounds aren't big enough for the players these days.

"We are constantly learning. Today, we took risks at the right time and closed it down quite methodically. I was pleased with that."

  12. Post update

When you think back over the entire tour, back to before Christmas and everything that has happened, on and off the pitch, it has been an absolute belter.

  13. 'A hell of a game'

England captain, man of the match and series Eoin Morgan: "It was a hell of a game, you've got to commend the bowlers, it's not the easiest ground to bowl on with the short boundaries. Our guys found it extremely tough work, they got off to a flier and we couldn't halt the momentum.

"Chasing a score like that is always a tough ask but going back to 2016, with this group of players, we chased 230 against South Africa in Mumbai. We've always got that belief if we get a partnership going then we can be quite destructive. The top three of Jason, Jos and Jonny laid a platform for the middle order."

On his 22-ball 57: "It was extremely satisfying. Any contribution when we win and I'm there at the end is satisfying. It's a nice end to the tour. We've loved every minute of this tour, everyone has been so hospitable and some of the cricket we've played has been extremely close."

  14. Post update

South Africa captain Quinton de Kock: "We knew it was going to be a high-scoring game when we saw the wicket but we're disappointed not to get over the line. The guys were confident at the halfway mark, thinking it was just above par, and the guys tried their hearts out but unfortunately we couldn't get the win. As we get closer to the World Cup, we're getting clearer in our planning."

Chloe: I’d written England off, this team & these batsmen are something else.

Adam Bell: What a batting line-up we have.

Peter Collins: England have made a slightly ridiculous chase look somewhat straightforward. The bowling needs to improve, but the batting is phenomenal!

  16. Post update

Only six other T20 internationals have had more runs scored than the 448 in this one. And there was still five balls to go....

Oliver Pritchett: Scrap the T20 World Cup and just let these two teams play 30 games against each other. Amazing three games.

1207 runs across the series. More than any other three-match series in the history of T20 internationals.
