Stoke manager Mark Hughes: "We got the job done but credit to Rochdale.

"In the first half we found it difficult. We had a great goal from Bojan which helped us and in the second half we got to grips with them and turned it around.

"At the weekend a lot of teams fell by the wayside and we weren't going to let that happen to us. We waned to make headlines for the right reasons and thankfully Rochdale haven't made the news.

"Bojan's injury, it is too early to know, he's going for a scan and hopefully it will be good news. Since he came to the club he has done things like that, we see it in training every day.

"We look forward to going to Blackburn now. We'll take a huge following there."

COMING UP ON THE BBC

The FA Cup fourth-round replay between Bolton Wanderers and Liverpool will be screened live on BBC One.

The Championship club will host Brendan Rodgers' Premier League side at the Macron Stadium on Wednesday, 4 February with a 19:45 GMT kick-off.

Bolton earned a replay thanks to a 0-0 draw at Anfield after a fine display by keeper Adam Bogdan.

The winners will play Premier League side Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the fifth round.

Stoke forward Jon Walters: "It was always going to be tricky, but after the Bojan strike it was a professional game and we killed it.

"Before the game we knew what we needed to do. We did well in this competition a few years ago, but now we have Blackburn away and that's an interesting game.

That is brilliant, running down the left, into the box, beats his man again and then swings a curling strike into the top corner from an acute angle.

"Rochdale had certainly given him food for thought with their rally towards the end of the first half, but you would imagine a comeback from two goals down is unlikely."

Dale readying more changes as Keith Hill tries to mount a comeback. If they want an omen, they have a player with 'Lazarus' in his name on the bench.

Victor Moses just needed that little pep talk as he makes the second goal for Stoke. Moses meanders into the box, then a little change of pace takes him away and he picks out Stephen Ireland arriving on it and he makes no mistake with a steered finish from six yards out.

The crowd are a bit subdued as Stoke maintain an element of control over the ball in midfield. Rochdale had the visitors on the rack in that last 10 minutes of the first half, can they find that level of performance again?

"After spending the first 20 minutes sitting down, Stoke boss Mark Hughes was a very animated figure on the touchline for the rest of the half, engaging in some good-natured banter with nearby Rochdale fans after questioning a number of the referee's decisions.

"Rochdale are by no means out of this."

HALF-TIME

Rochdale had 53% of the possession in that first half and eight attempts on goal to Stoke's three.

The Potters only had one shot on target but it was a 25-yard volley into the corner.

You can see why Matty Done has bagged 14 goals this season. His movement is excellent as he gets in behind Phil Bardsley, he's in on goal but wide of the goal and his attempted chip goes behind. Dale well on top, Stoke hoping for the half-time whistle.

"The sight of the diminutive forward arguing with towering Peter Vincenti after a crunching challenge on Victor Moses resulted in boos being aimed in his direction, and then a tumble in the area prompted chants of 'cheat, cheat, cheat'.

"His subsequent substitution saw one or two Rochdale fans lean near the tunnel entrance to wave goodbye as he walked past them, while others cheered ironically but in truth, they will be relieved to see the back of him."

That's the end of Bojan's night, and I can't lie to you, I'm disappointed.

If the referee had stopped play, rather than doing the right thing and letting play go on, it might have avoided the handbags which followed. Since his fine goal Bojan hasn't featured much - but as I say that he drifts away from a man in midfield nicely. Would Bojan have had a chance at Stoke under Tony Pulis?

Pulis had his flair players at times. I recall Tuncay and Eidur Gudjohnsen. But they didn't stick around for long.
