West Ham's 10 men are still trying but Leicester look like they are seeing this one out. Just seconds left...

West Ham need to get the ball forward quickly. They do that, but it runs through to Kasper Schmeichel.

Hammers defender Carl Jenkinson has gone in goal for the last few seconds.

It was Jamie Vardy who Adrian caught with a high boot. Referee Anthony Taylor was right next to it too.

RED CARD

West Ham keeper Adrian has been sent off for a high challenge after coming up for a corner.

The Hammers are pouring forward now... but it's the same old problem because they cannot turn their possession into chances.

SUBSTITUTION

Both teams make a change as we enter the last 10 minutes.

For West Ham, Mauro Zarate is off and replaced by Modibo Maiga. For Leicester, Christian Fuchs replaces Riyad Mahrez. 

Leicester get lucky here. The ball breaks for Diafra Sakho inside the box but his shot is straight at Foxes keeper Kasper Schmeichel from six yards out.

SUBSTITUTION

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic decides it is time to make a change. Manuel Lanzini is on for Cheikhou Kouyate to bring some new ideas to the home side's midfield.

Leicester have done next to nothing in attack since the break but they have burst into life here. Danny Drinkwater should do far better when he finds space in the area but leans back and lifts his shot over the bar. A waste.

It was very nearly worth the wait, though. Marc Albrighton ghosted in at the far post but scooped his volley horribly off target.

Speaking of Dimitri Payet, he has switched with Mauro Zarate and is now wide out on the left. Zarate is being given licence to roam... or at least he will be when play resumes. Leicester are taking an eternity to take a corner.

As well as scoring his side's goal Dimitri Payet has seen a lot more of the ball in this second half and it looks like Slaven Bilic's reshuffle has had an effect. The Hammers are coming forward with purpose now, rather than looking ponderous in possession.

SUBSTITUTION

Another Leicester change - Ritchie De Laet has been struggling against Mauro Zarate since the restart and he is being replaced at right-back by Yohan Benalouane.

That Leicester substitution means Jamie Vardy is now their only striker. They definitely needed reinforcements further back because the Hammers are still pushing hard and still attacking down the left flank.

SUBSTITUTION

Time for a Leicester change. Foxes striker Shinji Okazaki picked up a knock in the first half and he is being replaced by summer signing N'Golo Kante.

The West Ham fans are making a lot of noise all of a sudden and their team look a completely different proposition - finding space down the flanks and firing in some dangerous crosses. Mauro Zarate is seeing a lot of the ball out on the left and Diafra Sakho has just had a header kept out by Kasper Schmeichel.

GOAL

Hope for the Hammers? You betcha. At last the home side find an end product - Dimitri Payet's first effort is blocked by his own player Diafra Sakho but Cheikhou Kouyate rolls it back into his path and he makes no mistake second time around, firing high into the net.

This time the Hammers do force Kasper Schmeichel into a save, but Mauro Zarate's effort from the left-hand side of the area is from such a tight angle it might as well have been a cross.

Diafra Sakho goes down in the box as he tries to get on the end of an Aaron Cresswell cross. He had hold of Wes Morgan, who also had hold of him. Referee Anthony Taylor awards a goal-kick.

West Ham continue to have all the possession - 64% in the second half so far. They are still unable to do anything of note with it, though.

Leicester are defending in numbers at the start of the second half. Who can blame them, with a 2-0 lead to protect.

KICK-OFF

Leicester get the second half under way.

SUBSTITUTION

The Hammers have made a change at the break - Reece Oxford is off, perhaps to focus on getting his GCSE results on Thursday. Pedro Obiang is on for his debut.

HALF-TIME

West Ham have been poor in this first half but they should have a penalty here. Diafra Sakho goes to ground after colliding with Kasper Schmeichel as he chases a ball into the penalty area. The referee is unimpressed but Sakho was definitely caught there, even if the ball had run away from him. 

Another West Ham attack down the left, another disappointing finish. Cheikhou Kouyate clips a shot goalwards but that is never going to trouble Kasper Schmeichel.

Aaron Cresswell down the left has been West Ham's biggest threat so far, which is not saying an awful lot. He does well again here, getting into the area before sending in a low cross that Mauro Zarate tries to spin on to, but ends up putting the ball straight out of play.

The Leicester fans are singing Claudio Ranieri's name now, as half-time approaches. It hasn't taken him long to win them over, has it?

West Ham's supporters are a lot more subdued, as you would expect given the way this game has gone.

West Ham's first effort on goal for, er, quite a while. A cross comes in from the left and Cheikhou Kouyate rises at the back post but cannot direct his header on target.

"We are top of the league" sing the Leicester fans, and they are right.

Questions have to be asked about the Hammers defending here, although this is a wonderful finish. Shinji Okazaki and Marc Albrighton combine on the left before Albrighton finds Riyad Mahrez running into the box to sweep home a powerful first-time finish for his third goal of the season.

Leicester continue to look more dangerous when they come forward. Angelo Ogbonna hauls back Shinji Okazaki and that's a free-kick to the Foxes about 40 yards out. Ogbonna heads clear but the Hammers remain under pressure.

Leicester striker Jamie Vardy was this week given a "substantial" fine and ordered to undergo diversity awareness training after allegedly abusing a Japanese man in a casino.

The Foxes are coming forward in search of more goals and Marc Albrighton has just had a shot blocked from the edge of the area. The Hammers are wobbling a bit here... they have not responded well to going behind.

GOAL

Leicester went close from the corner following that Riyad Mahrez chance but they do not have to wait long to take the lead. 

Jamie Vardy clips a lovely ball into the box from the left and although Adrian does well to keep out Shinji Okazaki's first effort on the volley, the Japanese striker reacts quickly to head the loose ball home.

Riyad Mahrez had a daisy-cutter from distance for Leicester earlier but he has just gone a lot closer, dancing into the box, swerving a couple of challenges and eventually being denied at close range by Adrian. Unlucky.

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has been stood on the edge of his technical area for the entire game, offering encouragement to his players. His West Ham counterpart Slaven Bilic has been doing the same, only 'slightly' more animated. (That's not Bilic in the picture by the way)

The Hammers are still on top in terms of possession, enjoying 66.7% of the ball so far. They are not making it count in terms of chances, though. Every time they have got behind the Leicester defence (which is twice), the flag has gone up for offside.

That Reece Oxford header has been the only meaningful effort on goal at either end in the first 15 minutes. 

Leicester went on the attack in the first half hour against Sunderland last week but they seem to be concentrating on defence this time.

Adrian needed lengthy treatment there, but he is OK to carry on. Jamie Vardy had every right to make that challenge, but his foot was very high.

YELLOW CARD

Jamie Vardy is the first man in the referee's book, catching West Ham keeper Adrian as he jumped to try to block his clearance after the Spaniard came dashing out of his box to clear a bouncing through-ball.

The Hammers are still spraying the ball around nicely and Diafra Sakho has just forced a corner down the left. Aaron Cresswell tried to get on the end of it but it was cleared by Shinji Okazaki.

Leicester's first real foray forward sees Shinji Okazaki break into the area down the right but he is off balance and his cross is easily cleared.

The Hammers have had all the ball so far. More than 83% of possession in fact.

CLOSE!

Dimitri Payet fires the free-kick in and man-of-the-monent (or boy-of-the-moment) Reece Oxford is on the end of it at the back post. It comes off his head and takes a touch off Foxes defender Wes Morgan as it flies over the bar. That could have gone anywhere.

The Hammers are first to attack and they have a free-kick on the left of the Leicester box after Andy King fouls Mark Noble...
