  1. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester

    Well then.

We had an exciting finish in the end. Eddie Howe is out on the pitch applauding the fans.

That's all from me for today, but you can follow reaction to this match and the rest of Saturday's action, over here.

    See you next time.

    Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester

Right at the death Yohan Benalouane is caught up with Callum Wilson in the box - the home fans want a penalty but there's nothing in it.

    Honours even.

  3. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester

    It comes to naught.

Artur Boruc races to get the ball for a goal kick.

    Is there time?

  4. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester

Jamie Vardy dodging down the left, Jeff Schlupp looks for a cut-back.

  5. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester

Yohan Benalouane wastes no time committing a silly foul.

Bournemouth free-kick on the edge, it's set off to Simon Francis, deflected for a corner.

    Time is running out...

  6. CLOSE!

    Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester

Big chance for a winner this!

Artur Boruc comes steaming out to claim the ball. It was bouncing around all over the place, couldn't quite reach Joe Dodoo.

Jamie Vardy wanted a penalty too, he was caught in the aftermath.

    Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester

Ritchie De Laet is off for the Foxes. Yohan Benalouane on.

You'd bring a defender on now would you Claudio?

There are eight minutes added on!

  8. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester

    Question is, how long left?

With the three injuries for Bournemouth there must be some time added on.

  9. GOAL - Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester

    Jamie Vardy (pen)

So close for Artur Boruc! He gets a hand to it but it's not enough - the ball nestles in the top corner.

Is there a winner in this one?

    Jamie Vardy

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Absolutely stonewall. Jamie Vardy is scythed down.

  11. CLOSE!

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Jeff Schlupp with the most bizarre piece of brilliant control I've ever seen - it bounced of his knee spectacularly but almost worked in his favour.

He burns into space down the left and flashes one across goal. Close but should have been closer.

  12. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Leicester are coming into it now.

Jeff Schlupp with a cut-back, Shinji Okazaki is there but he can't control it.

And moments later Joe Dodoo fluffs his lines spectacularly. The 20-year-old grabs a big slice of air at the back post when it looked far easier to actually connect with the ball.

  13. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Now then. Leicester haven't really shown much at all going forward so far but with all the injuries and substitutions, are Bournemouth just starting to look vulnerable?

Is Joe Dodoo the man to bring the Foxes back on level terms? We've not seen a lot from him yet.

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

    Brilliant again from Artur Boruc!

The Poland 'keeper's been a spectator for practically the whole game but is alert enough to deal with a real tricky situation.

Danny Drinkwater's free-kick looks to be heading for Wes Morgan, about six yards out, Morgan can't reach it but Boruc still can to turn it away to safety.

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Poor from Eunan O'Kane. First he gives the ball away and then he tugs back Danny Drinkwater for a clear professional foul.

  16. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Simon Francis, brilliant reading of teh play to intercept and set Bournemouth way on the front foot.

Ritchie De Laet then wins it back as the Cherries sweep across the pitch before Joe Dodoo is penalised for a foul - he's still waiting for a first touch.

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

A change for Leicester now as 20-year-old striker Joe Dodoo comes on for a Premier League debut.

He scored three against Bury in the League Cup in midweek on his first every senior showing. His team needs a goal now.

Marc Albrighton is the man to come off.

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

First real action of the match for Artur Boruc and he's more than equal to it.

Jeff Schlupp cuts in on his right - will he cross or shoot? - it's a shot but Boruc reads it well. Punches out to clear.

On the break Callum Wilson runs into trouble down the left.

  19. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Cherries chairman Jeff Mostyn is barking away down his mobile up in the stands.

"Can we have three new left-sided players before Tuesday?"

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Gradel is up and about but Marc Pugh's coming on to replace him.

Surely there can't be any more injured players?! They've all come down that left-hand side...

  21. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Hold up though. Things are going well for Bournemouth but how many of their players are going to come off injured?

Max Gradel is down holding his ankle now. The physio's on and Eddie Howe looks a man concerned.

  22. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Lovely play again between Lee Tomlin and Callum Wilson. Tomlin looks more than capable of playing at this level (it's his first Premier League start today, second appearance).

Wes Morgan scrambles back to snuff out a disguised back heel with Wilson about to thread himself through on goal.

  23. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has just got one more change left to make.

Will he need it? So far so good for the home side, but Leicester have started the second half better than they ended the first. They've certainly been steaming into the challenges.

Marc Albrighton's corner flashes across goal before Bournemouth are back with it.

  24. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

BBC Sport's Mark Mitchener at Vitality Stadium: "Tyrone Mings's Premier League debut lasts only 10 minutes before he leaves the game on a stretcher after several minutes of treatment.

"Adam Smith becomes Bournemouth's third left-back of the afternoon - the versatile ex-Tottenham man was a regular substitute in last season's Championship-winning side, often filling either the full-back or wide midfield role."

    Tyrone Mings

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

So Adam Smith comes on for Mings, the sub going off in real pain. We're back under way.

We'll bring you word on that injury as we have it later.

  26. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

He is you know. On the replay you can see it - let's call Drinkwater's challenge 'robust'.

Mings is going off on a stretcher. Terrible scenes for Bournemouth fans - that's their £8m summer signing.

    Adam Smith is warming up.

  27. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

More problems for Bournemouth at left-back. Big problems.

Tyrone Mings is just six minutes into his Premier League debut and Danny Drinkwater has absolutely cleared him out.

Is he going to have to come off too?

  28. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

There was some really hilarious, terrible acting from Robert Huth as he turned to the referee pleading his innocence (he'd almost started the theatrical shrug of his shoulders before the ref blew).

But that was really nasty - totally unnecessary. It could have done Wilson some real damage.

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Robert Huth, what on earth are you doing?

The big German munches Callum Wilson, sort of wins the ball, but then boots it straight into Wilson as he's on the ground.

Huth then then gets a clattering from Tyrone Mings following in and a yellow from the ref.

    Robert Huth
  30. KICK-OFF

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

We are back under way. Two changes to tell you about.

Shinji Okazaki is on for Leicester, with top scorer Riyad Mahrez off. Will 'The Tinkerman' strike again?

And Charlie Daniels looks to have succumbed to that knock after all. Tyrone Mings is on for the home side.

  31. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

BBC Sport's Mark Mitchener at Vitality Stadium: "Warm applause from the home fans as Neil Swarbrick blows the half-time whistle. As for the Leicester supporters and their £5 food and drink vouchers, this wasn't how it was supposed to go for the in-form Foxes.

"'Get another striker on, Ranieri', came one first-half call from a lone voice in the executive seats at the back of the main stand.

"Claudio Ranieri was known as the 'Tinkerman' during his time as Chelsea boss - he will need to revisit those skills if Leicester are to get back into this game."

    claudio ranieri

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Any chance of another goal? An equaliser before half-time?

    Nope. The ref blows up.

  33. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Two minutes added on. You can hear the half-time conversations starting up already around the ground.

  34. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Both sets of players have got a bit of a crawl on now though.

Another player watching on from the bench is Leicester's Joe Dodoo. Scored a hat-trick against Bury in midweek, in his first ever senior game. He's 20.

  35. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Tyrone Mings had readied himself but Daniels is OK to play.

    On we go.

  36. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Just under five to go before half-time but we could have a bit of added time here.

Charlie Daniels has a problem. He's pulled up with the ball, puts it out of play and sits himself down. Looks like a knee or ankle.

  37. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Andrew Surman bombs into the box but Lee Tomlin can't pick him out - the ball got caught up in his feet.

Again it's Tomlin who Bournemouth look to for that killer ball though. The former Boro forward's been quick to find the space but hasn't quite delivered so far.

Tomlin and Vardy then clatter into each other like two randy walruses. The ball just about survives the impact and skews away.

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Lee Tomlin is in the wars again - Andy King goes sliding in to clean the roaming forward out.

King is the third player in the book - Leicester just edge ahead two to one.

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

N'Golo Kante is clumsy in the challenge and Lee Tomlin goes sprawling just on the edge of the area.

Tomlin says the foul is inside the box and do you know what? The man has a really good point.

The referee was on hand and quick to react but he's got that one wrong.

Kasper Schmeichel punches Max Gradel's dipper away.

  40. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Bournemouth have actually had the majority of their play down the right-hand side, but Charlie Daniels and Max Gradel have looked more dangerous down the left.

  41. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Not much sign of Leicester getting back into it right now though.

Bournemouth are turning the screw. It's not spectacular, but it's assured and organised from the home side.

  42. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

BBC Sport's Mark Mitchener at Vitality Stadium:  "Bournemouth have that long-awaited feeling of a home Premier League goal.

"Leicester have allowed Charlie Daniels far too much space down the left in the last 10 minutes, and his cross ultimately leads to Callum Wilson's acrobatic overhead strike.

"The home fans are buzzing, and Leicester already appear to have adopted a slightly more attacking formation as Danny Drinkwater is looking to push up more to support Jamie Vardy in attack."

  43. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Jason Roberts on Final Score:  "Wilson is the first one to react as the ball drops, and knows exactly what he wants to do. That finish is the kind of thing you dream about - I couldn't even do it on video games!"

  44. Post update

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Callum Wilson is now the league's joint top-scorer too, with four.

If there was any way he could match his hat-trick in last Saturday's 4-3 win over West Ham, that was it.

Can Riyad Mahrez go one better?

  45. GOAL Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

    Callum Wilson

    What a finish!

Max Gradel wins a bouncing ball in the box, his header comes off the back of a Leicester defender and Callum Wilson is on hand to grab Bournemouth's first ever home goal in the top-flight.

A bicycle kick! Not a bad way to get up and running.

    Callum Wilson
  46. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

    Steve Wilson

BBC Match of the Day commentator

"When Claudio Ranieri got his first job as a manager, Eddie Howe was 10."

I bet he was pretty good at Championship Manager growing up though, Howe.

  47. CLOSE!

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

Own up Charlie Daniels, there's no way you meant this.

Kasper Schmeichel was scrambling though - Daniels' cross looked for a moment like turning into a top-corner wonder-strike for sure.

The Leicester keeper spreads his arms (as if to say he had that covered) but it was mighty close.

  48. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

    Artur Boruc

BBC Sport's Mark Mitchener at Vitality Stadium: "Max Gradel's first-minute booking has earned him plenty of 'Leicester reject' chants from the travelling Foxes fans.

"But with Ritchie De Laet now in the book for fouling the Ivorian, there are signs that the pace of Gradel, Callum Wilson and Matt Ritchie may be the key if Bournemouth are to unlock the Leicester defence.

"At the other end, Jamie Vardy can expect a busy afternoon as Leicester's lone striker, but he can't fail to notice the man he has to beat, Cherries keeper Artur Boruc, whose fluorescent green/yellow goalkeeping outfit is brighter than even the stewards' hi-vis jackets."

  49. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

Jamie Vardy with the first sight of goal.

He's leaning back from the right side of the box though. Good curl, bad height. Well over.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

Ritchie De Laet leans into Max Gradel off the ball, blocking his path.

He knew exactly what he was doing and that's one apiece. Where was the danger though? Totally needless.

  51. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

    Callum Wilson

You can see how Lee Tomlin (signed from Middlesbrough this summer) should eventually slot into this Bournemouth side really well.

Again he's looking to pick up a loose ball between the Leicester defence and midfielder but it's not coming off for him so far.

Callum Wilson knows what he wants - every time he's darting beyond the last man.

  52. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

He can wag his finger all he likes but Riyad Mahrez is still offside.

With Jamie Vardy and Marc Albrighton breaking Leicester have real pace.

Albrighton's pass finds Mahrez in the box but he's just the wrong side of his man. He still put it in the net for good measure but the whistle had long gone.

  53. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

First touch from Lee Tomlin as he tries to jink a way through the Leicester midfield - he's frustrated but moments later gets a chance to thread Callum Wilson through. The pass is too heavy though.

What on Earth was Ritchie De Laet doing so deep? Wilson should have been played offside.

  54. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

Jeff Schlupp clears out Callum Wilson as the forward stretches his legs down the right wing.

'Yellow!' shout the home fans. Nothing doing though. Too early for all that...

  55. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

Max Gradel didn't look too impressed with that decision but there was no way he was looking for the ball.

Bournemouth clear the free-kick no problem. What a weird way to start a game.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

We are under way at Bounemouth.

And Max Gradel clatters Riyad Mahrez within 15 seconds!

Here we go then, the teams are out.

No Premier League team's won more Premier League points than Leicester City (29) since 1 April.

A win today would set a new club record of 10 points from the first four matches of a top-flight season.

  59. The MOTD commentator's view

    Steve Wilson

BBC Match of the Day commentator

"Leicester are on their longest unbeaten run in the top flight (seven games) since the start of the 2000-01 season, when the club were competing in the Uefa Cup.

"But it's a cautionary tale - that season they lost nine of their last 10 games and finished 13th. Exactly a year after taking them to the top of the league, manager Peter Taylor was sacked.

"Eddie Howe will be feeling a lot happier after Bournemouth secured their first top-flight win. Good performances are all very well, but points are what keep the wolf from the door. He'll be keen to add more in the coming weeks."

  60. Post update

    Bournemouth v Leicester (15:00 BST)

    Claudio Ranieri

Is it just me, or is there more than a passing resemblance between Ranieri and Kipling?

Imagine the half-time team talk. He'd put Phil Brown to shame.

  61. What the managers say

    Bournemouth v Leicester (15:00 BST)

    Claudio Ranieri

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri: "There is a good poem by Rudyard Kipling that says to treat winning and losing the same. It's good to stay in the middle.

"Bournemouth's story is unbelievable but fantastic. They are a good team and didn't deserve to lose to Liverpool and Aston Villa. They'll want to beat us.

"I'll pick 11 players on Saturday - if the players who aren't in that are happy, they're crazy.

"I love a clean sheet. Maybe I will pay a tenner to all my players when they get a clean sheet."

  62. What the managers say

    Bournemouth v Leicester (15:00 BST)

    Eddie Howe

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "Leicester are potent in attack. They have a number of good forward players, but they'll also be tricky to break down.

"Home form is obviously important to every team; it means a lot for us to play well and entertain our own fans.

"Leicester have started very well and they are a side that we respect immensely. We look forward to hosting them."

  63. Post update

    Bournemouth v Leicester (15:00 BST)

BBC Sport's Mark Mitchener at Vitality Stadium: "The fans here at Bournemouth are still pinching themselves that their team is playing in the top flight for the first time in their 116-year history.

"Slowly, things have been clicking into place. The new season's replica shirt, which wasn't available in time for the opening day game here against Aston Villa, is flying off the racks in the club shop and being proudly worn around the ground - while that much-anticipated first Premier League goal and points came at West Ham last week.

"But how long will they have to wait for that first home goal?"

  66. Team news

    Bournemouth v Leicester (15:00 BST)

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe makes one change from the side that won 4-3 at West Ham last Saturday. Forward Joshua King has a slight hamstring problem and is replaced by summer signing Lee Tomlin, who makes his first start for the Cherries.

Bournemouth XI: Boruc, Francis, Elphick, Cook, Daniels, Ritchie, O'Kane, Surman, Gradel, Tomlin, Wilson

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri makes one change to the side that drew 1-1 at home to Tottenham last weekend. Midfielder N'Golo Kante is in for Japan striker Shinji Okazaki.

Midfielder Gokhan Inler, and striker Joe Dodoo, who scored a hat-trick in the 4-1 League Cup win against Bury on Tuesday, are on the bench.

Leicester XI: Schmeichel, De Laet, Morgan, Huth, Schlupp, Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, King, Albrighton, Vardy

  67. Post update

But Bournemouth haven't started too badly either.

Home defeat to Aston Villa in the season's opener was a bit of a 'What if?' kind of day, while they were pretty unlucky not to come away from Anfield with a point at least.

The sensational 4-3 victory at West Ham last Saturday was their first ever in the top flight - can Eddie Howe's side go back-to-back today?

    Bournemouth v Leicester (15:00 BST)

The Premier League season may just be in its infancy but things are going rather well up at Leicester under new manager Claudio Ranieri.

Seven points from their first three games puts the Foxes in second, and Riyad Mahrez's four goals means the Algerian winger is sitting on top of the scoring charts.
