Celtic 2-1 Malmo - Jo Inge Berget (52 mins)

Malmo get the second half underway.

  40. Text us on 80295

Sean: "I think we're in complete control here, Playing a lot of keep ball. We've got a 2-0 lead we don't to force the issue and leave ourselfs overly exposed when we're pushing in attack. They've been limited to a few half chances but nothing to get concerned about."

James in Giffnock: "Trick now is not to concede a goal. Bit more keeping the ball and passing in the second half. Get Ciftci on and Griffiths off for last half hour. If Celtic don't give away a goal, as it stands they should be home and hosed in the overall tie. If they manage another goal that's a bonus."

"The visitors hold a comfortable lead at Somerset Park, and much of their attacking play has been slick and incisive.

    Peter Murphy and Nicky Clark

"Ayr United have had to focus on defending but are capable of crisp passing themselves and there have been periods of jitteriness at the back for Rangers.

"The result is unlikely to change but Ayr have not looked like being overwhelmed."

    Celtic 2-0 Malmo

    Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths celebrating

Scott Brown playing for Celtic against Malmo

"Celtic could scarcely be expected to continue that whirlwind pace, but a couple of moments of slackness have given Malmo a little hope.

"But Scott Brown is setting the bar for his team-mates, scrapping for everything and showing the energy that typifies the way Ronny Deila wants his Celtic side to play."

First bit of activity for Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon as he turns Vladimir Rodic's low left-foot shot out for a corner. Malmo again capitalised on some sloppy Celtic play to mount that advance.

  62. GOAL

  68. CLOSE!

Malmo are opened up all too easily again as Stefan Johansen and Leigh Griffiths exchange passes before the former forces a save from Johan Wiland. The midfielder may feel he should have hit it with more power.

    Alasdair Lamont

    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

    Leigh Griffiths

"Phenomenal start by Celtic and Leigh Griffiths immediately proving Ronny Deila correct to start him in place of Nadir Ciftci. But the goal owed so much to the drive of Stuart Armstrong and the quick-wittedness of Stefan Johansen as well as the cool head and killer instinct of the striker."

  72. Post update

The Celtic fans are in full voice now and the home players have an air of confidence about them after that early goal.

  73. GOAL

Celtic 1-0 Malmo - Leigh Griffiths (3 mins)

  86. Celtic to lose Virgil van Dijk?

    Chris McLaughlin

    BBC Sport at Celtic Park

"It's fair to say Virgil van Dijk's days at Celtic are numbered. I don't think that's any great secret.

"Behind the scenes, Celtic are already preparing for life without Van Dijk.

    Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk
Image caption: Virgil van Dijk has been linked with a move to Southampton

"One of the possible replacements was the Dynamo Zagreb central defender Jozo Simunovic, an Croatia Under-21 international.

"I believe that Celtic have made an approach or certainly enquired about him. But I understand that won't be happening because Zagreb are looking for too much cash.

"I think it's safe to say that Virgil van Dijk's days are numbered - and probably Southampton are the favourites to sign him."
