    Adam Williams

    BBC Sport at Madejski Stadium

Orlando Sa has words with Jason Shackell

Just as this game was winding down to an uneventful first half, Reading's Orlando Sa was shown a straight red card. An incident down on the touchline with Derby's Jason Shackell was spotted by the linesman who immediately alerted referee Andrew Davies.

He had no hesitation in showing the striker, who scored a hat-trick only four days ago against Ipswich, his way to the tunnel. It appears he may have head-butted the Derby midfielder who received a yellow card himself.

That may well change things for Steve Clarke's side after the break, who have looked relatively untroubled so far.

  85. Post update

    Birmingham 0-0 Nottm Forest

Birmingham have made a bright start against Nottingham Forest, although no clear-cut chances as yet. Paul Caddis scampers away down the wing before trying to pick out Clayton Donaldson with a cross. Too much on it though and the chance is gone.

  95. Rain and shine...

    Reading v Derby (20:00 BST)

    Adam Williams

    BBC Sport at Madejski Stadium

    .

Some sharp evening showers have made for a greasy surface at the Madejski Stadium as Reading host Derby.

Reading are full of confidence after they scored five past a hapless Ipswich defence on Friday and make just the one change with Chelsea deadline day signing Michael Hectoreffectively making his first appearance on loan in place of Anton Ferdinand.

Derby picked up their first win of the season at Preston on Saturday, but Paul Clement brings Scott Carson back in goal in place of Lee Grant, Craig Forsyth plays ahead of Stephen Warnock and Jeff Hendrick comes in for the injured Chris Baird.

  96. KICK-OFF

Under way in eight of our ten Championship games. Who will score first?

Remember Bolton v Sheffield Wednesday and Derby's visit to Reading start at 20:00 BST.

  97. Get Involved

Are you concerned or surprised by your team's form? Can they turn it around or keep it up?

Andrew Dennett:  As a Brighton fan this season compared to last year is amazing! Strength in depth and confidence!! Well played Chris Hughton!

  98. Rams ready for resurgent Royals?

    Reading v Derby (20:00 BST)

    Paul Clement

Having made the move from Real Madrid assistant to the top job at Derby, it has been a pretty slow start to life as a manager for Paul Clement.

The Rams drew four of their opening give games, before getting their first victory of the season at the weekend with a 2-1 win against Preston.

This will no doubt be a tough test, though, with Reading riding high after a 5-1 thumping of Ipswich last-time out.

  99. Post update

    Reading v Derby (20:00 BST)

  100. Owls boss feeling the pressure?

Bolton v Sheff Wed (20:00 BST)

    Sheff Wed

Is the pressure mounting on Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal?

The Owls spent around £9m in the summer, bringing in 15 players, but are winless in their last five matches and travel to a Bolton side who are looking to record back-to-back victories.

"I do not feel under pressure," Carvalhal said in the Yorkshire Post. "I feel confidence.”

  102. Frustrating start for promoted duo

Preston v Bristol City (19:45 BST)

    Preston
Image caption: Simon Grayson led Preston to promotion to the Championship through the play-offs last season.

The two promoted teams meet for the first time in the Championship, with both desperate for a win to kick-start their season.

Preston are 20th on five points, with Bristol City one place below them on four points.

  103. Post update

  104. Promotion hopefuls meet again

    Middlesbrough v Brentford (19:45 BST)

    Middlesbrough
Image caption: Middlesbrough beat Brentford to reach the play-off final last season, where they lost to Norwich

After losing four times to Middlesbrough season, and getting knocked out of the play-offs by them, Brentford are probably in the mood for a bit of revenge.

That, though, will be easier said than done, with the Bees' last two visits to the Riverside seeing them concede seven goals and scoring none, but Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka is expecting a very different Brentford side this time.

“The team is different and they changed the manager, so I think the game is going to be different especially to the game when we qualified for the final," he said.

  105. Post update

    Leeds v Ipswich (19:45 BST)

    .
  106. Get Involved

Are you concerned or surprised by your team's form? Can they turn it around or keep it up?

Adam, Birmingham fan:  The season has gone great so far, in the play-offs with a game in hand. Rowett is doing a phenomenal job and has assembled a quality team.

  107. Post update

    Leeds v Ipswich (19:45 BST)

    Adam Pope

    BBC West Yorkshire Sport

"My memories of the Tractor Boys go back to 1970's and 1980's.

"The late, great Sir Bobby Robson led them to two major trophies and a 6-0 thrashing of Manchester United. They had a great goalkeeper in Paul Cooper who saved eight penalties out of ten in a single season.

"I still think the El Tractico moniker for their derby with Norwich is the best nickname of any clash between local rivals!"

  108. Post update

    Leeds v Ipswich (19:45 BST)

For the Leeds and Ipswich fans out there who want a blow-by-blow account of that game, then good news!

There's dedicated coverage of that game right here.

  109. Ipswich to hit back?

    Leeds v Ipswich (19:45 BST)

    Ipswich

A good time or a bad time for Leeds to play Ipswich? The Tractor Boys were beaten 5-1 by Reading last time, an uncharacteristically heavy defeat for Mick McCarthy's men.

They face a Leeds side who have not lost a game so far this season, but have only won once. That was against promotion favourites Derby, though.

    Should be a close game.

  110. Charlton flying, Terriers toothless

    Charlton v Huddersfield (19:45 BST)

    Chris Powell

It is back to the Valley for Huddersfield boss Chris Powell - the man who got Charlton promoted from League One in 2012.

It might not be a happy return, though, given the two sides' respective form. Huddersfield are yet to a win a game this season, while Charlton have won two and drawn three of their first six games.

They also had 21 shots on goal in their last game. A tough task ahead for the Terriers...

  111. Post update

    Cardiff v Hull (19:45 BST)

    .
  112. Will Hull (and Steve Bruce) find their voice?

Cardiff v Hull City (19:45 BST)

    Steve Bruce

Hull City head to Cardiff looking to not only record their first away win of the season, but also prevent manager Steve Bruce from losing his voice.

The Tigers, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, have picked up just one point from three away games.

"We can’t keep letting the gaffer lose his voice at half-time, we have to have a look at ourselves," Hull City defender Michael Dawson told the Yorkshire Post.

  113. So far so good for Burnley

Burnley v MK Dons (19:45 BST)

    Burnley

After a slow start to their bid for a swift return to the Premier League, Burnley's season has kicked into gear with three wins from their last three games.

That is in contrast to MK Dons' start to the campaign. Promoted from League One last season, they started well before losing their last two games and will have a tough task on their hands to avoid a third successive defeat.

  114. 'I couldn't have envisaged this'

    Brighton v Rotherham (19:45 BST)

    .
  115. 'I don't fear the sack'

Birmingham v Nottm Forest (19:45 BST)

    Gary Rowett
Image caption: Birmingham boss Gary Rowett has led his side to three wins and two draws in the Championship so far this season.

Birmingham have certainly given their fans plenty to cheer this season, with no team having successfully managed to prevent them from scoring.

That's a daunting prospect for Nottingham Forest, who have had an indifferent start to the campaign, but a win at QPR last time out will certainly give them confidence.

8 August: "Can't even beat [insert generic Championship team here]? We're going to get relegated!"
