  2. Post update

    Bayern Munich 5-1 Arsenal

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is asked to put a number on the percentage of chance his side have to qualify - but he can't do it.

  3. The FA Cup is back

The FA Cup is back and it's on the BBC this weekend.

We have a live game from Salford City on Friday night - see all of our plans here.

  4. Happy families for Mourinho

    Phil McNulty

BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Mourinho had his family looking on and he explained: "It is my daughter's 19th birthday and if I don't see her from the bench I don't see her all day.

"The day she was born I had a match and I was not there. At least when she was 19 I could give her a look back and see her."

  5. What Arsenal need

    Bayern Munich 5-1 Arsenal

    Arsenal

    Arsene Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said his side have 'a small chance' to qualify and he's not wrong.

Beating Bayern at home a fortnight ago gave the Gunners optimism but they must now make up a six point gap to second-placed Olympiakos, who they face in their final group game on 9 December after hosting Zagreb on 24 November.

Two victories would also need to be aided by Olympiakos losing in their next game, at Bayern, who are yet to qualify themselves.

Should Arsenal finish level with Olympiakos, it does not come down to goal difference but head-to-head record. So Arsenal must beat the Greeks by two clear goals or more.

  6. 'Extremely poor'

    Bayern Munich 5-1 Arsenal

We have not seen Arsene Wenger in front of the TV cameras yet but he's out and speaking to the media...

  7. What do Chelsea need?

    Chelsea

Chelsea have a trip to Maccabi Tel Aviv and a home game against Porto to come.

They are second in Group G, three points behind leaders Porto.

  9. 'He's playing very well'

    Chelsea 2-1 Dynamo Kiev

    Willian
Image caption: Willian has scored three CL free-kicks this season

Jose Mourinho on matchwinner Willian's recent form: "He's playing very well, not just today. He has been playing well for a long time.

"Everybody did their job very well. It is fair to look at Willian because of his work-rate, quality on the ball, participation in the first goal and quality of second goal."

On Chelsea fans: "The fans recognise I'm a good pro, brought a great moment and have had great memories. Until my last day in this club, if that is in four years, 10 years, 15 years, I will give everything to them."

  10. 'The players deserve it'

    Chelsea 2-1 Dynamo Kiev

    Jose Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho: "The win is a big relief. The players deserve to get compensation for their hard work.

"Many players are coming to their normal levels, despite having feelings as a team when negative moments come - and they are coming every game.

"The difference today was that we had confidence in the negative moment. The negative moment is always arriving for us. We had that good reaction against Stoke in the League Cup and today we conceded that goal with 15 minutes to go. I think the team was strong mentally, they kept trying and I'm happy with that."

  15. Arsenal's weaknesses exposed

    Bayern Munich 5-1 Arsenal

    Mark Lawrenson

Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Quote Message: Arsenal's full-backs had little or no protection, that is where all the chances came from. That is where Bayern Munich got in. You cannot give a team so much width and not expect them to create so many chances. Against the top teams, you cannot have one weakness, they will keep exposing it.
  16. 'They were in their rhythm'

    Bayern Munich 5-1 Arsenal

    Arsenal

    Mertesacker

Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker on BT Sport: "They scored too early for us and got into their rhythm - that was too difficult for us to go again.

"It was disappointing from our point of view but because they scored early, they got into their rhythm."

  17. 'A big relief'

    Chelsea 2-1 Dynamo Kiev

Jose Mourinho says that win is 'a big relief.' More to follow.

Felipe Pardo's last minute goals takes the Greeks to nine points in the group, while Arsenal remain on three with two games left to play.

  28. Men against boys?

    Bayern Munich 5-1 Arsenal

    Mark Lawrenson

Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Quote Message: Bayern are just playing with Arsenal. That was a classic breakaway, they swept through the middle. Thomas Muller just passed it into the goal. It is absolutely frightening how much Bayern have in their team.
  29. GOAL - Bayern Munich 5-1 Arsenal

    Thomas Muller (89 mins)

    Thomas Muller scores

Arsenal won't get away with conceding four though as Thomas Muller sweeps home a fifth. It's a superb counter as Douglas Costa breaks from his own penalty area before teeing up Muller, and he fires in off the base of the post from 18 yards out.

    Willian (C) celebrates

Special! Chelsea may have a new special one as Willian steps up to the plate yet again and delivers a sensational free-kick. Talk about pressure.

It's his third free-kick of the Champions League season and it's his best. Shades of David Beckham as he whips the ball up and over the wall and nestles it right in the top corner. That is really wonderfully done.

  35. CLOSE!

    Bayern Munich 4-1 Arsenal

Arjen Robben is in one-on-one with Petr Cech, he goes around him - can he finish?! No! Great recovery tackle from Mathieu Debuchy.

  36. Mourinho's agony

    Phil McNulty

BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Mourinho mopped his brow in relief when Dynamo missed one chance - but it did not last long as they were level seconds later.

Chelsea keeper Asmir Begovic made a mess of a corner and Aleksandar Dragovic took full advantage to redeem himself after his own goal.

As the ball hit the back of the net Mourinho turned away shaking his head in disbelief - but Dynamo have been a real threat in this second half.

  37. Post update

    Chelsea 1-1 Dynamo Kiev

Well then, that changes everything, You could smell that goal coming though. Ever supported a team who are on their way to relegation? If you have you'll know the feeling you get in a ground when you take a lead late on - you can almost feel the inevitable equaliser coming.

That's how it seemed at Stamford Bridge. Lots of looking at watches, shifting nervously in seats...

Eden Hazard and Pedro are on as late changes. Chelsea have nine minutes left.

    Aleksandar Dragovic scores
Quote Message: Aleksandar Dragovic has gone and redeemed himself. At times, Chelsea have looked very uncertain, it was a needless corner to concede in the first place.
  40. GOAL - Chelsea 1-1 Dynamo Kiev

    Aleksandar Dragovic (78 mins)

    Aleksandar Dragovic

Chelsea had been nervous, really nervous and it's all come to a head now. Asmir Begovic comes for a corner, it's headed out of his hands by Namanja Matic and Aleksandar Dragovic, scorer of the earlier own goal, hammers home!

  41. Post update

    Bayern Munich 4-1 Arsenal

Bayern Munich have rather understandably shut down for the night. Santi Cazorla finds some rare space inside the penalty area but fires over the top.

  42. Post update

Quote Message: It is a brilliantly taken goal by Olivier Giroud. Bayern Munich just knocked off for a bit there, they were in training ground mode.
  47. GOAL - Bayern Munich 4-1 Arsenal

    Olivier Giroud (69 mins)

    Olivier Giroud scores

Like the brilliant joke you only think of in the taxi on the way home, Olivier Giroud scores a sensational goal when the game is already gone. On another day this would be leading the headlines around Europe.

Alexis Sanchez picks the Frenchman out inside the penalty area, marked, he takes it on the chest and swivels to plant a bicycle-style kick into the corner.

Brilliant. One from the Mark Hughes scrapbook.

  48. GREAT SAVE!

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

    Olexandr Shovkovskiy

That is superb, it really is. Chelsea move sweetly down the left and cut it back to Oscar, and his shot is turned over by Olexandr Shovkovskiy, one handed! Great save!

  49. Mourinho on Costa's case

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

    Phil McNulty

BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Jose Mourinho is furious as Diego Costa reacts slowly to losing possession just inside the Dynamo half. Chelsea's manager jumps up and down in frustration, clapping his hands furiously to demand more from the out-of-sorts striker.

  50. Post update

    Bayern Munich 4-0 Arsenal

    Arjen Robben

I wondered this summer whether Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery - both no strangers to the physio's bench - may be phased out at Bayern. But Robben has been absolutely brilliant since he came on. Top class.

  52. Olympiakos level - bad news for Arsenal

Olympiakos have equalised against Dinamo Zagreb and that goal is not great news for Arsenal.

With two games remaining after tonight, the Gunners will trail Zagreb by one point and Olympiakos by four. Arsenal play both of those teams.

    As it stands....of course.

It is 1-1 in Greece. Arsenal will be really hoping Olympiakos do not score a winner.

  53. Post update

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

Dynamo Kiev talisman Andriy Yarmolenko was pretty quiet in the first half. But whatever he was told by boss Sergei Rebrov certainly worked - he has come out flying after the break. Yarmolenko, as this heat map shows, has been busy down the Dynamo right flank, whipping in some dangerous crosses. That takes his tally to seven crosses - more than any other player on the field. But can one of his team-mates get on the end of one to haul back Chelsea?

    Chelsea
  54. Post update

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

    Andriy Yarmolenko

Kiev are coming on strong, the game is opening up as a result. Chelsea getting more space on the break now but at the same time they are having to face concerted pressure from the visitors.

With 25 minutes + to go this could still go any which way but loose...

  55. Elsewhere in Europe

    Javier Hernandez

Easy for Porto in Chelsea's group, doubling their lead at Maccabi Tel Aviv through the brilliantly named Andre Andre.

Champions Barcelona have also gone 2-0 up against BATE Borisov, Luis Suarez netting while in the same group, Bayer Leverkusen have made a brilliant comeback against Roma. 2-0 down at half time, Admir Mehmedi and Javier Hernandez have levelled the match.

  56. CLOSE!

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

How has he not scored?! Willian puts another cracking free-kick in, Diego Costa is having a wrestling match in the middle but Kurt Zouma gets free at the back post, he's six yards out on the angle but slices a shot wide!

Santi Cazorla is played in on goal, lovely stuff from this Arsenal side, but Manuel Neuer is off his line like a scolded cat to stop him in his tracks.

Quote Message: Again, Bayern Munich go round the back of Arsenal, it is so easy. The look in Pep Guardiola's eyes at the Emirate's when they lost 2-0 a few ago end was saying, wait 'til you get back to Munich. We are going to be waiting for you.
  64. GOAL - Bayern Munich 4-0 Arsenal

    Arjen Robben (55 mins)

    Arjen Robben scores

Impeccable timing. Arjen Robben is eager to make up for lost time after a lengthy injury blow and he scores within, what, 25 seconds of coming on? Douglas Costa feeds David Alaba on the overlap, he picks out Robben six yards out and the Dutchman batters home into the top corner. Clinical.

  76. HALF-TIME

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

Earlier we suggested that Petr Cech was feeling the heat more than any other footballer in Europe (see 20:25). But he has a rival! Dynamo Kiev keeper Olexandr Shovkovskiy has also been a busy bee, as you can see by that big red blob in his six-yard box. However, he has only been forced into two saves by Chelsea - and could do little about the own goal which has given the Blues a slender half-time lead.

    Chelsea
  77. Post update

    Bayern Munich 3-0 Arsenal

We shouldn't make broad, sweeping generalisations, and we shouldn't judge sides without seeing more of them.

But it's half time and we've got some dead air to fill so I'm going to put it out there that this Bayern Munich side would have the Premier League title wrapped up by Valentine' Day. And you could give them a winter break.

Chelsea have been on top from the start here and it has been a relatively relaxed evening so far for Jose Mourinho.

Only one moment when his calm was disturbed and that was when Diego Costa was not awarded a penalty on the stroke of half-time - but it was a very unconvincing claim.

Mourinho's grin was not one of happiness but he will be pleased with that half.

  88. GOAL - Bayern Munich 3-0 Arsenal

    David Alaba (44 mins)

    David Alaba celebrates

Bayern Munich are teaching Arsenal a lesson. An expansive, hard to understand, head-scratching lesson.

It's three as left-back David Alaba drifts into the centre, sees off Santi Cazorla in a really weak challenge, backs up Gabriel toward the penalty area and then bends a wonderful left-footed shot over Petr Cech and into the top corner.

However, Chelsea recycle the ball out wide, it is crossed in and Cesc Fabregas is close to getting a header but Domagoj Vida nudges him out of the way. Diego Costa hammers the loose change over the bar.

  99. 'Cast the lifeboats'

    Bayern Munich 2-0 Arsenal

    Mark Lawrenson

Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Quote Message: For the umpteenth time, a Bayern player has got round the back of the defence. This time it was Philipp Lahm who had time and space. The finish was scruffy from Thomas Muller but it went in. It's almost time to cast the lifeboats.
  100. GOAL - Bayern Munich 2-0 Arsenal

    Thomas Muller (29 mins)

    Thomas Muller celebrates

A scruffy goal but Bayern won't care. Philipp Lahm's deep cross from the right is hooked back in by Kingsley Coman, Thomas Muller is in typical space and he forces a shot home at the near post via a deflection off Per Mertesacker.

A really, really poor goal to concede.

  101. Post update

    Chelsea 0-0 Dynamo Kiev

Oscar is seeing plenty of the ball for Chelsea, with the Brazilian at the heart of most of the home side's brightest play. But, like the rest of his team, he is just lacking that killer final ball. The two red arrows into the box indicates misplaced passes.

    Willian

Jose Mourinho turns to his backroom staff and throws his arms out in frustration as no Chelsea player is anywhere near another inviting cross from Willian, who has made an excellent start.

    Bayern Munich 1-0 Arsenal

To say that Bayern are playing in Arsenal's half is an understatement. Just over 20 minutes gone and only Bayern centre-backs Javi Martinez (8) and Jerome Boateng (17) are in their own half, according to the average positions.

  104. YELLOW CARD

    Bayern Munich 1-0 Arsenal

I'm not so sure that Joel Campbell has a future as an Arsenal forward, but he definitely doesn't have one as a full-back. And that is where he is being pushed all the time by Kingsley Coman, who skips past Campbell and gets the Costa Rican booked.

  105. Elsewhere around Europe

    Luis Suarez

News for Arsenal and it's of the good variety. Dinamo Zagreb have taken the lead against Olympiakos, which means the Gunners will stay in contention for the top two spots in Group F even if they lose in Munich.

Cristian Tello has put Porto 1-0 up at Maccabi Tel Aviv. They look like coasting through to the next round.

Champions Barcelona are being held 0-0 against BATE Borisov at the Nou Camp, but midfielder Ivan Rakitic has been taken off holding his calf.

    Diego Costa

Chelsea continue to dominate but it's that old Achilles heel, a poor final ball into the box. Diego Costa is pulling out wide to get on the ball which leaves the penalty area empty too.

  108. Defensive frailties?

    Bayern Munich 1-0 Arsenal

    Mark Lawrenson

    Thiago Alcantara
Quote Message: How many times has a Bayern Munich player got round the back and in behind the Arsenal defence? I would say around five or six in the first 20 minutes. Bayern always keep you penned in, they just don't allow you to get out.

    Chelsea 0-0 Dynamo Kiev

And here's statistical evidence of what Phil McNulty has just told us about Chelsea's bright start. Chelsea are hogging the ball, and spending over a third of the game so far in Dynamo territory. The Blues have attempted four shots - but none, as yet, troubling the 'goals' column.

  112. Arsenal need to hold firm

    Bayern Munich 1-0 Arsenal

    Mark Lawrenson

Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Quote Message: Arsenal had a goal disallowed and nearly gave away a penalty. They do not need to give Bayern any encouragement to get a second. Another goal conceded would be a sin.
  113. PENALTY APPEAL

    Bayern Munich 1-0 Arsenal

Kingsley Coman weaving some magic on the Bayern left, he forces Joel Campbell into some defensive work and Campbell lunges in - he doesn't get a great deal of the ball! No penalty given.

Moments later Petr Cech has to save a curler from Robert Lewandowski. The Bundesliga side are all over Arsenal...

Diego Costa sees a shot saved and Jose Mourinho turns swiftly back into his technical area, crouching down to write a note. Chelsea have made a bright and busy start.

  117. DISALLOWED GOAL

    Bayern Munich 1-0 Arsenal

    Mesut Ozil celebrates

Well then! Arsenal have the ball in the net moments after the restart but celebrations are muted as the official behind the goal makes a big call.

Mesut Ozil turns in a cross but it is decreed that he uses his elbow to do so. Ozil is booked, the goal does not stand...

  119. GOAL - Bayern Munich 1-0 Arsenal

    Robert Lewandowski (11 mins)

    Robert Lewandowski celebrates

Schoolboy defending? That may be harsh on schoolboys, or girls, as Gabriel steps out to try and play offside and leaves Robert Lewandowski unmarked and very much onside five yards out. The Pole still has work to do but does it easily, flicking home a header. Great finish.

    Chelsea 0-0 Dynamo Kiev

There was some pre-match chat about how Chelsea like to channel most of their attacking play down the left flank. And, despite the absence of Eden Hazard, that has certainly been the case in the opening seven or so minutes tonight. Oscar keeps drifting off towards that touchline, with full-back Baba Rahman always on his shoulder in support.

    Chelsea 0-0 Dynamo Kiev

Lovely stuff. Willian pings out a cracking pass to the right, Cesar Azpilicueta floats over a low cross which Diego Costa misses and Oscar is there behind him, arriving Frank Lampard-esque, but his low shot is right at the keeper.

    Chelsea well on top.

    Chelsea 0-0 Dynamo Kiev

Chelsea work their first semi-opening down the left-hand side, it is worked back to Ramires who is not afraid to take on a shot. He hits it well, deflected, and well saved by Olexandr Shovkovskiy.

  124. Post update

Barely two minutes on the clock and already a goal in Europe tonight. On-loan Chelsea man Mohamed Salah has given Roma an early lead against Bayer Leverkusen.

Chelsea v Dynamo Kiev (19:45 GMT)

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is a little chattier than he was at the weekend - which isn't hard - but gives little away about his decision to drop Eden Hazard.

"I have 21 players and Ivanovic and Falcao are not ready to play, but everyone else is in condition to play. I try to choose the best team for the game," he tells BT Sport.

On whether he is still enjoying his job, he adds: "The day I don't enjoy a football match is the day I don't do it anymore."

  138. Empty seats at Stamford Bridge

    Phil McNulty

Less than 15 minutes to kick-off and still plenty of empty seats around Stamford Bridge - should fill up before kick-off though and there can be no doubt Chelsea's fans are still ehind Jose Mourinho despite his struggles.

Quote Message: Chelsea are so low and so short on confidence. Again, Jose Mourinho has changed his team. In a way, I feel sorry for him. He is looking for the solution and to take the pressure off. As soon as the opposition score, they fall to pieces and crumble. If you talk about resolve, last season it was unbelievable. "You shall not fall," they were saying to each other. It is a different story this season.

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger speaking on BT Sport on Pep Guardiola's claim that they are a long-ball team: "I would take that with pleasure, we are not often accused of that.

"We did not play a lot of long balls, we played them into Olivier Giroud when he came on in the last 20 minutes [of the first leg] and we used that a strategy a bit. We will play that today if we need to."
