    West Ham 1-1 Everton

There goes the final whistle. Hammers boss Slaven Bilic isn't happy - he wanted more time so a free-kick could be taken, but I think a draw is a fair result.

For a developing match report go here.

And for reaction from Upton Park, go here.

  2. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Kevin Mirallas has another pop for Everton but his rather tame effort from 25 yards is easily dealt with by Adrian.

  3. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Gareth Barry tries to thread a pass through to Kevin Mirallas but puts too much on it, and Adrian collects.

About two minutes of stoppage time remaining.

  4. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

We are into stoppage time at Upton Park. Not much sign of a winner, if I'm being honest... although West Ham keep trying to find Victor Moses down the right.

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Nikica Jelavic is on for West Ham, replacing Andy Carroll - who did not have one of his better games.

  6. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Almost a winner for Everton. Romelu Lukaku gets to the near post first to meet a low cross but cannot quite turn the ball home.

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

That's Gerard Deulofeu's lot. He is replaced by Aaron Lennon.

  8. Get it down the right!

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Both teams favour attacking down the right flanks, and from the average positions here you can see why. West Ham (left) have been favouring Victor Moses (20), and Everton (right) have looked towards Gerard Deulofeu (19). Could a winner come from either of those players?

    Average positions
  9. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

He has already made his mark on this game with the assist for Romelu Lukaku's equaliser, and Gerard Deulofeu keeps producing some superb pieces of skill for Everton. He is not afraid of taking on defenders and beats a couple more down the right, before eventually running out of room.

  10. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

As things stand, West Ham are up a place to fifth and Everton are up a place to eighth. A win won't move either of them any higher up the table if other results stay the same.

  11. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

If he wants to get a winner, then Ramiro Funes Mori has to do better than this - he looks up from 35 yards out and hammers his shot high over the bar.

  12. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

The Hammers are still trying too, and after Victor Moses wins a corner it is Winston Reid who rises highest to get on the end of it in the box, but plants his header over the bar.

  13. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

This game is still very much in the balance - Everton have not done much attacking since the break but they look dangerous when they do come forward, with Ross Barkley's corner almost dropping for Gareth Barry at the near post.

  14. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

That means another reshuffle for the Hammers... Manuel Lanzini will go back on the left of the Hammers attacking trio in their 4-2-3-1 formation. Mauro Zarate will play behind Andy Carroll.

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Uh-oh... Enner Valencia is down again, and the Hammers sub is about to get subbed. He's only been on the pitch for about 15 minutes... Mauro Zarate is about to come on.

  16. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

A slight delay while West Ham sub Enner Valencia has treatment... he was hurt by a Seamus Coleman challenge after charging into the box... but we are back under way now.

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

No hat-trick for Arouna Kone this time. Everton's first change sees him replaced by Kevin Mirallas.

  18. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Hammers goalscorer Manuel Lanzini definitely does - he tests Tim Howard again with a low shot from the edge of the box. It took a deflection on the way though and flies wide.

  19. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Just over half an hour to go. Who wants the three points?

  20. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Another card for referee Paul Tierney to dish out as Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori slides in to take out Victor Moses by the right touchline.

  21. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

West Ham are doing most of the attacking at the moment, but they are not exactly knocking on Everton's door. The Toffees are happy to soak up this little spell of pressure, even if they cannot get out of their own half.

  22. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

West Ham are definitely missing Dimitri Payet but Enner Valencia has looked lively since he came on and fires over a decent cross from the left here, only for a defender to nick it away from Victor Moses and put it safely behind.

  23. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Some sloppy play from both sides, with a loose pass from Cheikhou Kouyate for West Ham swiftly followed by some poor control for Arouna Kone from the visitors. Are both sides thinking over their next move?

  24. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Enner Valencia will go to the left of West Ham's trio of attacking midfielders, with Manuel Lanzini moving into the middle behind Andy Carroll.

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

It looks like that earlier injury has caught up with West Ham play-maker Dimitri Payet. He hobbles off, to be replaced by Enner Valencia. A blow for the Hammers.

  26. 'Really enjoyable end-to-end stuff'

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

    John Hartson

Former Arsenal and West Ham striker on Final Score

"Even-stevens here. Really enjoyable end-to-end stuff."

  27. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

... yep, Barkley takes it... and gets the ball up and over the wall, but also up and over the bar.

  28. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

More Everton pressure and they have a free-kick on the edge of the box after a foul by Victor Moses. Ross Barkley is behind it...

  29. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

The Toffees try to slip Romelu Lukaku clear again, but this time Adrian is off his line quickly to collect.

  30. KICK-OFF

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Everton get the second half started

  31. Even-stevens

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

That was an open, but pretty even, first half - as can be seen by the share of possession and territory so far. All to play for in the second half...

    first half
  32. Post update

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

A bit of confusion as referee Paul Tierney blows his whistle - it came just as Andy Carroll had shrugged off his marker and turned to run in on goal. Was it a foul? Who knows... it is definitely half-time though.

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

There will be two minutes of stoppage time at the end of the first half.

Manuel Lanzini fancies his chances of another goal for West Ham, but this time fires wide from the edge of the area.

  35. 'Lukaku easily goes round the keeper'

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

    Jermaine Jenas

Former Tottenham and England midfielder on Final Score

"Lukaku is onside and has timed it to perfection. He has formed some partnership with Deulofeu, who threaded the ball to him through the eye of the needle.

"Lukaku, in the form that he's in, easily goes round the keeper and scores."

  36. GOAL - West Ham 1-1 Everton

    Romelu Lukaku (43 min)

Ah, sorry Hammers fans - I spoke too soon. Everton are level after a delicious through ball by Gerard Deulofeu finds Romelu Lukaku running clear to take the ball past Adrian and slot home.

    Romelu Lukaku
  37. Post update

    West Ham 1-0 Everton

Romelu Lukaku has scored six goals in six games against West Ham for the Toffees but has not had much joy so far today. The Everton striker turns to fire in a shot from the edge of the area, but it is blocked by Winston Reid.

  38. Post update

    West Ham 1-0 Everton

The Hammers survive the resulting corner too, and look to take some of the sting out of the game, before Winston Reid puts the ball out of play. Everton have got time for a few more attacks before half-time...

  39. Post update

    West Ham 1-0 Everton

Ross Barkley bends it in... and there is an almighty kerfuffle at the back post after Andy Carroll seems to turn it behind. Replays show why the Everton players were unhappy - it came off Carroll's hand.

  40. Post update

    West Ham 1-0 Everton

The good news for West Ham fans is that, as things stand, their team are third.

The bad news is that their play-maker Dimitri Payet is still limping from that James McCarthy challenge.

Oh, and Everton have a free-kick, about 35 yards out...

  41. Post update

    West Ham 1-0 Everton

Not much of a response from Everton so far... Gerard Deulofeu just danced past a couple of challenges but could not beat the third man. He was on the halfway line anyway, so not exactly dangerous.

  42. Get Involved

Craig Bird: Payet is an absolute joy to watch. #WHU will struggle to keep hold of him

    West Ham 1-0 Everton

Everton's James McCarthy cleans out Dimitri Payet and becomes the first man into referee Paul Tierney's book.

  44. Post update

    West Ham 1-0 Everton

The Hammers come forward again and Aaron Cresswell sends over a decent cross from the left... Andy Carroll is on the end of it, but cannot get any power behind his header.

  45. 'A wonderful piece of skill'

    West Ham 1-0 Everton

    John Hartson

Former Arsenal and West Ham striker on Final Score

"Lanzini is inside the area and he manages to chip Tim Howard from all of 18 yards. It's a wonderful piece of skill."

  46. GOAL - West Ham 1-0 Everton

    Manuel Lanzini - 30 min

The moment of quality in front of goal that this game was waiting for. Victor Moses sees his deflected shot bounce clear off team-mate Andy Carroll, but it falls for Manuel Lanzini, who takes a touch on the edge of the box before bending the ball into the top corner. An exquisite finish - watch Match of the Day later to see his body-shape for that strike alone.

    Manuel Lanzini
  47. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

A few gaps down West Ham's left all of a sudden and Gerard Deulofeu tries to take advantage. He latches on to a fizzing crossfield pass from James McCarthy but his cross-shot is turned away by Adrian at the near post.

  48. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Everton have been on the back foot for a while but they have a free-kick of their own here, about 30 yards out, after Victor Moses hand-balls.

Ross Barkley takes it, and goes for goal, but he bends his shot straight at Adrian.

  49. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Hang on, though, because Everton are not out of the woods yet. Carl Jenkinson works a shooting chance down the right but cannot beat Tim Howard from a tight angle... then the other Hammers full-back, Aaron Cresswell, fires a few yards wide.

    Roberto Martinez
  50. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

... but Payet fails to beat the first man. Disappointing.

  51. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Arouna Kone barges over Victor Moses so that is another free-kick for West Ham, in a similar position to their last one - just a bit further out.

Dimitri Payet is behind it again...

  52. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    Yes... well, sort of...

Dimitri Payet lifts the free-kick to the back post, and James Tomkins does well to send it back across goal... but there is no-one in the middle to turn it in. Everton clear.

  53. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Lots of attacking intent from both teams so far, but not much quality in front of goal. The latest example of that sees Victor Moses make good headway down the right for the Hammers, but his pull-back is behind Andy Carroll.

West Ham have got a free-kick near the right-hand corner of the Everton area... can they do any better here?

  54. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

West Ham are not happy here - Gareth Barry took a free-kick very quickly near the halfway line and sent Arouna Kone running towards goal. Kone dithers, though, before slamming his shot wide from the edge of the area... and the chance is gone.

    Arouna Kone
  55. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

West Ham's turn to attack - I'm pretty sure Andy Carroll is meant to be getting on the end of their balls into the Everton box but it is Victor Moses who meets this one, and sends his header looping over.

  56. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Everton do get a shot away this time - their first of the game - but Brendan Galloway's hurried effort is well over. Ross Barkley is next to have a go, but does not really get hold of his strike and Adrian stoops to collect comfortably.

  57. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

More Everton possession ends when Ramiro Funes Mori goes down in the box under a challenge from Winston Reid. The Argentine wants a penalty but it didn't look like it to me, especially after the benefit of a replay. Referee Paul Tierney is also unconvinced, and I think he was right.

  58. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Everton have definitely settled down now, and are seeing far more of the ball. Still no sight of goal for the visitors but some intricate passing on the edge of the Hammers area sees Ross Barkley just fail to slip Romelu Lukaku through.

    Roberto Martinez
  59. 'Lukaku is so hot at the minute'

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    Jermaine Jenas

Former Tottenham and England midfielder on Final Score

"Last week was the most ruthless Everton performance I've seen in a long time. Romelu Lukaku is so hot at the minute."

  60. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Everton have been quiet so far - not any more, though.

The Toffees used the wings to great effect against Sunderland last week and they do the same here, as Arouna Kone swings in a cross from the right. It takes a nick off a defender on the way so just eludes Romelu Lukaku in the middle - but still a sign that Everton are dangerous even when they appear to be under the cosh.

  61. 'The Hammers will need to be at it defensively'

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    John Hartson

Former Arsenal and West Ham striker on Final Score

"As well as West Ham are doing, I think they will need to be at their very best to halt Everton. The Hammers will need to be at it defensively, and we know they have a lot of attacking flair. But they need to sort their home form."

    Martinez and Bilic
  62. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Dimitri Payet has now created 45 chances in the Premier League this season. Only Arsenal's Mesut Ozik (47) has made more - I expect Payet to lead the way by the end of today.

  63. CLOSE!

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

No surprise to see West Ham mount the first real attack - it is Dimitri Payet who tees up Victor Moses, and his shot from the right of the area is a whisker wide.

  64. Post update

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

West Ham have had almost all of the ball so far, and are trying to get their full-backs forward, but Everton are not conceding much ground.

  66. Post update

  67. Kick-off fast approaching...

West Ham v Everton (15:00 GMT)

West Ham were poor last week as they lost 2-0 at Watford, will they be any better?

Everton were impressive going forward as they demolished Sunderland, can they repeat that attacking display?

    Almost time to find out...

  68. The players are in the tunnel

West Ham v Everton (15:00 GMT)

Hammers striker Nikica Jelavic is saying hello to a few of his old Toffees team-mates. Hugs all round.

  69. Targeting the top four

West Ham v Everton (15:00 GMT)

    Everton boss Roberto Martinez

West Ham could be back in the top four tonight if they win. That is the long-term target of Toffees boss Roberto Martinez too, but he also rates the Hammers' chances of making the Champions League spots.

“I think what has happened is clear. With the poor start of Chelsea it has opened up one position in that top four," Martinez said, before his side travelled to East London.

“If Chelsea would have had 23, 24, 25 points it would have been very difficult to see light at the end of that top four.

“Now, with the way West Ham and Leicester have started I think it’s very significant how good those two teams are. It’s not a coincidence after 11 games that you get a team in that position.”

  70. Bilic's big day?

West Ham v Everton (15:00 GMT)

Slaven Bilic in his Everton days

Is this a big day for Hammers boss Slaven Bilic, who joined Everton from West Ham for £4.5m in May 1998 and played for the Toffees for three years? He doesn't seem sure...

Bilic said: "Is it a special game for me? On one hand yes, on the other no.

"Every game is special for different reasons. Everton are a great side, big club with good players. It's a great test for us and I am looking forward to it, definitely yes."

  71. Sing when you're swimming

West Ham v Everton (15:00 GMT)

There is an Everton fan 'dressed' only in blue trunks, swimming cap and goggles at Upton Park today.

I believe he does the same at every Toffees away game to raise awareness of a cancer charity, so credit to him - especially because it looks decidedly chilly in east London today.

  72. Everton team news

West Ham v Everton (15:00 BST)

    Everton XI

Everton also make one change from their last game - Bryan Ovideo suffered a hamstring injury during their win over Sunderland and the man who replaced him at left-back that day, Brendan Galloway, gets the nod today too.

Starting XI: Howard, Galloway, Funes Mori, Stones, Coleman, Barry, McCarthy, Kone, Barkley, Deulofeu, Lukaku.

Subs: Joel, Gibson, Mirallas, Lennon, Naismith, Osman, Holgate

  73. West Ham team news

West Ham v Everton (15:00 GMT)

    West Ham XI

West Ham make one change from the team that lost to Watford last week. James Collins was sent off in that game so Winston Reid comes into the back four.

With Diafra Sakho still sidelined by a thigh injury, Andy Carroll continues up front.

Starting XI: Adrian, Jenkinson, Reid, Tomkins, Cresswell, Noble, Kouyate, Moses, Payet, Lanzini, Carroll

Subs: Randolph, Zarate, Valencia, Ogbonna, Jelavic, Antonio, Cullen

  74. Lawro's prediction

West Ham v Everton (15:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson

    BBC football expert

Speaking of predictions, what does Lawro think will happen at Upton Park?

He says: "The quality of Everton's goals last weekend was just outstanding, although Sunderland's poor defending has to be taken into account before I get too carried away.

"That was just what the Toffees needed because, before then, they had been on a losing run having played some of the top teams.

"In contrast, West Ham had a really bad day at Watford and I just wonder what effect that will have on the way they approach this game."

  76. Confident Toffees?

West Ham v Everton (15:00 GMT)

As part of that impressive record, Everton have won on their last three league visits to Upton Park - and they seem to be expecting more joy today...

  77. A happy hunting ground

West Ham v Everton (15:00 GMT)

    Everton form

Yep, it is more than eight years since West Ham last beat Everton in a league game at Upton Park - or anywhere else for that matter - when Bobby Zamora scored the winner in a 1-0 win in April 2007.

The Hammers have picked up only four points (from four draws) in their 14 league meetings since.

  78. Which West Ham will turn up?

West Ham v Everton (15:00 GMT)

Afternoon all. So, which West Ham will turn up today?

They have beaten the top two - Manchester City and Arsenal - already this season, as well as Liverpool and Chelsea too. Very impressive.

But the Hammers only picked up a point apiece against Sunderland and Bournemouth, and lost to Watford and Bournemouth. Not quite so good, that.

If anything, Everton have been more inconsistent - the Toffees are yet to win two successive league games in 2015-16... but they usually do pretty well when they come to these parts...
