Leicester have been on fire since the back end of last season with first Nigel Pearson and then Claudio Ranieri delivering the goods.
Just the 16 points better off than Chelsea since early April...

Match of the Day
Plenty of great games and a whole lot of goals coming your way this evening.
'It feels perfect'
Man City 1-4 Liverpool
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on BBC Match of the Day: "It feels perfect! The game was not perfect but it was very good.
"City couldn't start like they want but that is important for us. We played with big passion and that's the most important thing for us.
"The good news is that we can do better. At half-time I told the boys they were surprised to be winning 3-0, and we must do better in that situation.
"We have quality, we could have more goals but 4-1 is perfect. The boys can believe now that they are stronger than many people think."

Down but not out

Former Manchester City defender Paul Lake
Looking at Manuel Pellegrini's philosophy, this will happen when you are so positive and attack minded.
How do they learn from this? How do they sure things up?
These Manchester City guys are class footballers and City's level has dipped today. Joe Hart has not deserved to concede four goals and he was not at fault for any. It could have been six.
Liveprool were better, strong, fitter everywhere on the pitch and manager Jurgen Klopp got his tactics right.
City lose their top spot and are down, but certainly not out.

'A brilliant result!'
Man City 1-4 LIverpool
Liverpool captain James Milner: "City are a top team, they have shown it year on year. We were top class in the first half, it was a brilliant result.
"We had chances to get more but Joe Hart made some top saves. It was a really good performance. It's always strange coming back to a club, I was here for five years and have lots of friends here."
Defender Martin Skrtel: "The way we played in the first half was brilliant. It is the fourh goal I have scored against City - I wouldn't mind playing them every week."

Almost a second for City as a Kevin de Bruyne cross somehow evades everyone - they were queuing up!
Terrible day at the office
Man City 1-4 Liverpool
BBC Radio Manchester
Former Manchester City defender Paul Lake
Set pieces has always been an issue for Manchester City. Look at where the goal has come from, it was sloppy play. Joe Hart made a wonder save beforehand and the corner fell nicely for Martin Skrtel, the Liverpool man made the goal for himself.
A terrible day at the office for City and one they hopefully learn from and learn from quickly.
Liverpool have deserved this, Philippe Coutinho played a huge part in that. At this level, when you give away two goals against a top side, it was uncomfortable from the outset. Since, then City have been chasing the game.

Man City 1-4 Liverpool
Liverpool will be six points off the top four after this. A realistic aim?

GOAL - Man City 1-4 Liverpool
Martin Skrtel (81 mins)
BANG! What a hit! Liverpool do have a fourth and it is hit as hard as you can imagine!
A corner from the right is not dealt with,Martin Skrtelswivels 15 yards out and absolutely smashes a shot right past Joe Hart as the ball bounced nicely for him. As clean a connection as you would wish to see.
GREAT SAVE!
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
Again Liverpool so close to a fourth! They play Christian Benteke in on goal, right through the middle but not for the first time tonight Joe Hart makes a fine, fine save. He's a hard man to beat.
Post update
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
Raheem Sterling in over the top, Simon Mignolet races off his line and slams the door in his face. Kevin de Bruyne puts over another wonderful low cross but it's well defended. City still pushing hard but they've just not been at the races.
SUBSTITUTION
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
Liverpool send on Christian Benteke for the final 15 minutes or so as they look to see the game out.

Liverpool holding firm
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at The Etihad
This game has got that "next goal vital" feel - but Liverpool are not just holding firm, they are looking to add to their lead.
Manchester City have shown more energy in this half but the carnage of the first half has left them chasing the game and badly exposed.

Have City's slim chances left the field with Sergio Aguero? Liverpool sub Jordon Ibe wins a corner for the visitors with a powerful run.
Sports science in action
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
BBC Radio Manchester
Former Manchester City defender Paul Lake
This is sports science taking over. Sergio Aguero has been told he is only going to have certain number of minutes on the pitch after injury.
Playing over an hour today is still a positive though.
SUBSTITUTIONS
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
Sergio Aguero is coming off. He's replaced by Kelechi Iheanacho as Philippe Coutinho goes off with an injury for Liverpool.
CLOSE!
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
If City score now it may make the last 20 minutes interesting. And they have a chance! James Milner will a slack backpass, Raheem Sterling is in on goal and squares to Sergio Aguero, he has to get round one defender before testing Simon Mignolet from 18 yards.
Seconds later Fernando stretches to reach a free-kick but can't keep it down.

DISALLOWED GOAL
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
Liverpool think they have a fourth as Philippe Coutinho rounds Joe Hart to slot in - but he was a few yards offside...
'World class Hart'
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
BBC Radio Manchester
Former Manchester City defender Paul Lake
Joe Hart has a wonder save in every game, that was world class and he keeps Manchester City in this game.
GREAT SAVE!
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
Superb save from Joe Hart! Liverpool inches away from burying this game as again they play Roberto Firmino clean in on goal, he tries to lift it into the net but Joe Hart makes himself big and keeps it out with a hip. Wonderful goalkeeping.
Post update
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
The second half has not been the best but City now put together a neat move, Kevin de Bruyne has the awareness to slide a pass into the feet of Raheem Sterling. He pauses, takes aim and fires - but it's easily blocked.
'City missing Silva'
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
BBC Radio Manchester
Former Manchester City midfielder Paul Lake
Philippe Coutinho is a beautiful and intelligent footballer. He is just like David Silva, being able to find space when on the ball.
He is growing in that role for Liverpool. That is why Manchester City are missing Silva so much, he brings something different to the table.

Don't do it!
Fabian Delph shoots from, ooh, at least 35 yards. And toes it well wide. Not the answer.

Man City 1-3 Liverpool
How's your game management Liverpool? Good so far as they sensibly keep the ball when they can and their shape when they can't. Sergio Aguero is whistled for a late one on James Milner. The home fans are not happy.

Emre Can is booked for what I thought was a belting tackle on Fernandinho. City starting the second half at a frantic pace. As they must.

BBC Sport chief football writer at The Etihad
Manchester City's fans were in the mood to give their team a right going over after a shambolic performance - but suddenly that brilliant strike from Sergio Aguero has changed the mood.
It's a long way back for City and Liverpool have been outstanding. Where there is Aguero there is hope but who is to say Liverpool will not score more if City carry on defending like that?

'Aguero is the key'
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
BBC Radio Manchester
Former Manchester City midfielder Paul Lake
"City have got that speed and flair to be able to break down any team - we've seen flashes of that. But they haven't dealt with Philippe Coutinho at all and there's been several mistakes in defence.
"Sergio Aguero has scored one already and he will be key to this second half. And I also expect to see Nicolas Otamendi come on - because so far there's been no confidence at the back."
HALF-TIME
Man City 1-3 Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp sprints away down the tunnel as the half-time whistle goes. That late Sergio Aguero goal just gives him something to chew over.
But has there been a better team goal this season than Liverpool's third? Magic stuff.

GOAL - Man City 1-3 Liverpool
Sergio Aguero (44 mins)
Hello, did someone order a comeback?! City do pull one back before half time and in typical fashion for this game, perhaps for the Premier League in general, it comes from an error.
Martin Skrtel's clearance is poor and intercepted, it is played up to Sergio Aguero 30 yards from goal. He easily glides away from Lucas and then bends a beauty around the last defender and right into the corner. Made that look so, so easy! Class.

Can we get Alan Hansen back for one last Match of the Day tonight? He'd enjoy analysing City's backline. You could drive several buses between Martin Demichelis and Eli Mangala at the moment.

'Rabbit in the headlights'
Man City 0-3 Liverpool
BBC Radio Manchester
Former Manchester City midfielderPaul Lake
"Rabbit caught in headlights time. There is no leadership in the back four at all and the fans are stunned. It was an inventive backheel from Emre Can and a great run by Roberto Firmino, but the City players were just looking at each other.
"If they aren't careful, this could become a huge embarrassment."
GOAL - Man City 0-3 Liverpool
Roberto Firmino (32 mins)
What a brilliantly-taken goal! Emre Can plays an inspired backheel, once again Manchester City's back four are statuesque and Philippe Coutinho again breaks the offside line to run in on Joe Hart. Hart comes out, Coutinho squares it and Roberto Firmino has a tap-in for his first Liverpool goal.
City stunned. Liverpool loving life.
Post update
Man City 0-2 Liverpool
BBC Radio Manchester
Former Manchester City midfielder Paul Lake
"So far Jurgen Klopp has got his tactics spot on. Although this hasn't really been great football by Liverpool - it's more about the mistakes made by Manchester City.
"Eliaquim Mangala looks like he is treading water – and he and Martin Demichelis have conspired for two mistakes between them. The whole City defence looks like it is lacking in confidence and sloppiness is starting to creep further up the pitch too."
PENALTY APPEAL
Man City 0-2 Liverpool
The TV cameras pick out City captain Vincent Kompany in the stands. Take him out of the team and they too often fold like a pack of cards.City still seeing a lot of the ball but are yet to really threaten. Here we go though, Raheem Sterling to Sergio Aguero, Martin Skrtel slides in and does he block with his hand...?

Former England keeper Paul Robinson on 5 live Sport: “I think Sterling has done well, but he will need time because it was a big move for him and came with a lot of pressure. The whole move was a complete mess from start to finish. It was a long, drawn-out saga
“We all knew he was going to go, but the agent’s behaviour, for me, wasn’t called for. There are ways of conducting your business and they didn’t do it. I think Sterling is a young man who was badly advised.
