Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Right, that's all from us after what became a very entertaining game between Everton and Crystal Palace.

The home team dominated possession and created the most chances but Palace were worthy of a point.

Join us again tomorrow when the focus turns to the Champions League and the final games in the group stage.

Manchester United travel to Wolfsburg and may need to win to stay in the competition, while Manchester City host Borussia Moenchengladbach and could overtake Juventus to top their group if they win and the Italian champions lose at Sevilla.

We'll see you then.

Replay for Grimsby & Shrewsbury

FA Cup

In tonight's FA Cup tie, National League Grimsby and League One Shrewsbury drew 0-0.

A replay will decide which of the two travels to Cardiff in round three.

Palace brilliant - Pardew

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Alan Pardew

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew: "It was a great game, Everton are in form and we were brilliant tonight and some decisions could have gone our way.

"The second decision (Funes Mori challenge on Jordon Mutch), he was 12 yards away and I asked him but he didn't give me answer. I have to accept that. A draw was a fair result.

"If we could have seen that five minutes out after our goal, it might have been different, but all credit to Everton they kept coming and we are really pleased with a draw as it takes us sixth and with a home game to come.

"We showed tonight we have quality."

Lukaku sensational - Martinez

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Roberto Martinez on Romelu Lukaku: "He has been very consistent throughout the year, not just this season. To score 26 goals in a calendar year is sensational. He is always there to give us a focal point and score goals.

"It was a big moment. One hundred games is a landmark moment and 50 goals is a remarkable return. He's only 22, he is in a very good moment of his career. He is vital in everything we are trying to do."

Martinez 'delighted' & 'disappointed'

Everton boss Roberto Martinez on Sky Sports: "It was a well fought performance. They are very direct, they use their power and pace very well and we coped until the last 10 minutes. You have to score goals against them and we hit the post and crossbar, and on another day we would have scored them and made the difference.

"Their record shows that they don't give leads away, we are delighted we got back into it but were disappointed we dropped two points in our eyes."

Palace's second draw of the season

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Tonight's result was just Crystal Palace's second draw of the season as they failed to win having led for the first time in 2015-16.

In contrast, Everton have drawn seven of their 15 league games. Only Tottenham can beat that total with eight draws.

Dann the man

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

A word too for boyhood Liverpool fan Scott Dann, who headed Palace in front.

The centre-half nodded the winner when Palace won against Liverpool at Anfield a month ago.

He obviously feels at home on Merseyside.

Lukaku strikes again

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Oliver Boden and Louis Omoni both tweeted us to point out how prolific Romelu Lukaku has been while his former club Chelsea are struggling so badly in front of goal.

The Belgian has been slightly overshadowed by Jamie Vardy's form but he now has 14 in all competitions (11 in the league) this season.

Overall he has 50 in 100 Everton appearances. A very impressive ratio.

Lukaku the team man

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Romelu Lukaku celebrates

Everton goalscorer Romelu Lukaku on Sky Sports on whether his side deserved the win: "Of course. We had a lot of chances and we were unlucky when we hit the crossbar. After their goal we reacted well, it shows we have great character in the team."

On reaching 50 Everton goals, he added: "I am proud but I'm a team performer, so I'm happy with the record but disappointed we didn't get the three points."

What a combination these two are proving to be for Everton - Deulofeu and Lukaku. The striker is getting in the areas to score goals and he is getting plenty of assists from the likes of Barkley and Deulofeu.

Great game to watch

Kevin Kilbane

Former Everton winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Both sides will feel as though they could have won this game - Palace were excellent on the break but credit Everton for coming back into the game. When you go behind so late it is difficult to regroup. I thought it was an excellent game to watch and both managers can be happy with the performance of their team.

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Everton make the last attack of the match and Arouna Kone has a shot deflected behind but before the corner can be taken, referee Craig Dawson blows the full-time whistle.

The point takes Palace up to sixth while Everton also climb two places, to ninth.

A breathless last half-hour or so after 60 minutes of (mostly) sparring.

FULL-TIME - Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Nearly an opening for Romelu Lukaku but Palace's James McArthur makes a crucial challenge 10 yards out.

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Jordon Mutch robs the ball from the dozing Gareth Barry but drags his shot wide. Should have done better there.

Three added minutes to find a winner...

That should be a pen!

Kevin Kilbane

That is a penalty for Palace! Funes Mori does not get the ball - he takes Mutch out . The assistant referee was in line with that and should be giving it.

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Ramiro Funes Mori

Crystal Palace's James McArthur is booked for a late challenge on Seamus Coleman.

Shortly before Palace had a penalty shot as Ramiro Funes Mori appeared to catch Jordon Mutch, although the contact was just outside the area.

Nothing given though - and Kevin Kilbane obviously saw the incident slightly differently...

Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace come again as Yannick Bolasie surges forward but he is blocked by Gareth Barry.

Everton now seeking a winner with just over five minutes to go.

Pape Souare wellies clear for Palace, who are defending deep.

A record under threat

GOAL - Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace (Romelu Lukaku)

Finally, Romelu Lukaku has his goal and Everton are level. Gerard Deulofeu gets to the byline and cuts the ball across for Lukaku to tap in from three yards.

It's his 50th Everton goal in his 100th appearance for the Blues.

Anyone's game now.

Everton 0-1 Crystal Palace

Almost an instant response! For the third time tonight Everton hit the woodwork and for the second time it's Romelu Lukaku who is unlucky.

The Belgian striker connects with a fierce left-foot shots but it thuds against the bar. Wayne Hennessey was well beaten.

Scott Dann scores

That is poor defending from Everton. It is actually a simple header in the end from Dann - he is the one who was determined to get on the end of it.

GOAL - Everton 0-1 Crystal Palace (Scott Dann)

Out of nowhere Palace take the lead and it's a really, really soft goal for Everton to concede.

A corner comes over from the right and Scott Dann is left totally unmarked to head the visitors in front.

Woeful defending.

Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have offered little attacking threat in the last 10-15 minutes. Striker Dwight Gayle is getting ready to come on to offer fresh legs and, Palace will hope, fresh ideas.

They need them.

Who are the Premier League's most underrated?

Get involved using #bbcfootball

Who do you consider the Premier League's most under-rated foreign players - and why?

Danny Cheng: Easily, Bojan. Aka The Silent Playmaker. So intelligent on and off the ball. Stoke always look a different side when he plays

Douglas Lason: Lucas no question. Always gets the job done with no fuss, and easily Liverpool's most consistent player this season.

Mamadi Sirleaf: Newcastle's Moussa Sissoko is very underrated in the EPL, he's the main engine behind all of the team victories this season.

Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

The pressure building from Everton, who win two corners in quick succession. Finally a good delivery from Ross Barkley but no-one can get on the end of it.

Gerard Deulofeu then takes another corner from the right but it's under-hit and is greeted by Goodison groans.

Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

Gerard Deulofeu dilly-dallying but not getting a shot away when the opportunity arose after he danced into the penalty area.

Tom Cleverley then tries his luck again from the edge of the box but doesn't make such sweet contact this time.

Tom Cleverley's volley is saved

Tom Cleverley with a really sweet volley that Wayne Hennessey dives full stretch to his left to turn behind with his fingertips. Superb stop.

Some nice link-up play involving Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku in the build-up.

Everton getting closer. They look the most likely to make the breakthrough.

Baines is one of the best players I've played with. The reason why he's come on is to add more attacking impetus.

Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

Everton's Leighton Baines is on for his first league appearance of the season after recovering from a long-term ankle problem.

He replaces fellow left-back Brendan Galloway.

Everton 0-0 Palace

Palace just dropped a bit too deep. It's an excellent ball from Barkley and it was unfortunate for Everton that it bounced off the bar.

Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

Connor Wickham nearly scores again - this time for Everton!

Ross Barkley whips in a wicked free-kick from the left and the ball flicks off the back of Wickham's head and bounces back off the bar.

FA Cup latest

Will we ever have a goal this evening? I mean, is it really too much to ask?

Still goalless in the tie between Grimsby and Shrewsbury - updates here.

Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

The game is stretched now and Tim Howard does well to keep out Yannick Bolasie, who runs from deep and gets away from John Stones.

Much more like it. Warming up nicely now.

Who do you consider the Premier League's most under-rated foreign players - and why?

Josh: Kante and Christian Fuchs both have been a massive reason as to why Leicester are first.

Harison Saunders: Moussa Dembele. Been so solid this season and has improved a lot since last year.

sViera: Fonte for Southampton. Very solid defender and captain. Apparently made Lovren look like a £20m centre half.

Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

The TV coverage has just shown a replay of Everton skipper Gareth Barry pulling the shirt of Palace counterpart Mile Jedinak at the corner.

Now THAT was a foul. The home team lucky to get away with that one.
