    FT: Inter Milan 1-0 Roma

An Inter fan wearing a Jose Mourinho mask? In tribute on Halloween night? Hmm...

Anyway, Napoli and Fiorentina both play pon Sunday. Wins for both would see them join Inter on 24 points.

This Serie A title race is pretty tight at the moment.

  3. FULL-TIME

    Inter Milan 1-0 Roma

That's it. Inter Milan replace Roma at the top of Serie A.

Gary Medel's first-half goal is enough to hand Roberto Mancini's men victory - their sixth 1-0 win this season. So George Graham Arsenal.

    Gary Medel
  4. Post update

    Inter Milan 1-0 Roma

Inter's Fredy Guarin runs up like Roberto Carlos and hits a free-kick from 45 yards out that ends up trundling safely wide. Poor.

    Seconds remaining.

  5. Post update

    Inter Milan 1-0 Roma

There are five minutes of stoppage time. It's a bit tense out there, players squaring up to each other.

    Mo Salah
  6. Post update

    Inter Milan 1-0 Roma

Inter's Croat Ivan Perisic at the other end goes past two challenges  , enters the area but fluffs his cut-back.

There is a minute of normal time remaining.

    Another goal?

  7. Post update

    Inter Milan 0-1 Roma

Roma's Maicon fires a wayward shot that almost goes in via deflection off an Inter player. What a thriller.

  8. Post update

    Inter Milan 1-0 Roma

Roma are going for it and look strong despite being a man down. Inter have got everybody back in their own half.

  9. Post update

    Inter Milan 1-0 Roma

Full attention on the match in Milan between Inter Milan and now 10-man Roma. Inter will replace Roma if they win. Exciting eh?

    Stevan Jovetic
  10. FULL-TIME

    Getafe 0-2 Barcelona

The Barca boys join Real Madrid at the top of La Liga. As so it continues. They both have 24 points after 10 games. Real lead on goal difference.

  11. RED CARD FOR ROMA

    Inter Milan 1-0 Roma

Roma's efforts to get back into this match have been made all the more difficult by the sending off of Miralem Pjanic. The defender was deemed to have intentionally handled the ball outside the area and was shown a second yellow then the inevitable red.

    Miralem Pjanic
  12. Post update

    Getafe 0-2 Barcelona

Barca full-back Jordi Alba nearly fluked a goal, but his intended cross from the left, which turned into a shot, flew a foot high of the Getafe bar.

About a minute left of normal time.

  13. Post update

    Getafe 0-2 Barcelona

Getafe are enjoying good possession, but are not doing much with the ball in Barca's third.

We have five minutes remaining here.

    Luis Enrique
  14. Post update

Inter Milan 1-0 Roma (19:45 GMT)

Roma's Mohamed Salah races into the area but is... yup, you guessed it... denied by Samir Handanovic.

There are a thrilling 25 in store at the Giuseppe Meazza.

  15. GREAT SAVE!

    Getafe 0-2 Barcelona

Neymar's on one tonight. Megs his marker then finds Jordi Alba whose shot is well blocked by Vicente Guaita, who has probably been Getafe's player of the match.

We have about 13 minutes remaining here.

    Neymar
  16. GREAT SAVE!

Inter Milan 1-0 Roma (19:45 GMT)

Inter keeper Samir Handanovic has been in superb form tonight - the big man does brilliantly to prevent Edin Dzeko's header from creeping in.

  17. Post update

Inter Milan 1-0 Roma (19:45 GMT)

We have had about four minutes of play in the second half in Milan. There hasn't been any action of note, although Inter goalscorer Gary Medel has gone off injured.

As things stand Inter will replace Roma at the top.

    Inter celebrate
  18. Post update

    Getafe 0-2 Barcelona

Barca full-back Dani Alves tries to grab number three but sees his angled shot from Neymar's cross safely collected by Vicente Guaita.

Prior to the second goal, Getafe showed that they are dangerous on the break - the problem for them is that they don't have a Neymar, Sergi Roberto or Luis Suarez to finish off a move. Handy, those three.

  19. GOAL - Getafe 0-2 Barcelona

    Neymar

Pele said that Neymar needs to concentrate on his all-round play. Why Pele, why? When you have a Brazil forward who can watch a ball travel 25 metres in the air and then hit a first-time placed volley past the keeper at the near post, why should he even bother thinking about adding to his game.

Lovely, lovely strike from Sergi Roberto's lofted ball.

    Neymar
  20. DISALLOWED GOAL

    Getafe 0-1 Barcelona

Poor Munir [El Haddadi]. The Barca attacker hasn't scored a goal in 27 games and is denied by the offside flag after smashing home a low shot.

  21. Post update

    Juventus 2-1 Torino

    Translated: "Until the end...."

The Juventus and Italy defender really should finish off his sentences.

    Read the report.

  22. HALF-TIME

    Inter Milan 1-0 Roma

    Roberto Mancini
  23. KICK-OFF

    Getafe 0-1 Barcelona

We are back under way at Getafe.

  24. Post update

Inter Milan 1-0 Roma (19:45 GMT)

At the other end, Inter keeper Samir Handanovic has to be alert to punch away a cross from the right with Edin Dzeko lurking.

Back in the Roma area, Fredy Guarin drags an angled shot wide by a foot or so.

    We are in stoppage time.

  25. Happy Days for Medel & Inter

Inter Milan 1-0 Roma (19:45 GMT)

Inter on the attack again with five minutes of the half remaining. As it stands, Inter would replace Roma at the top of Serie A.

  26. GOAL - Inter Milan 1-0 Roma

    Gary Medel

That's right. Don't rub your eyes, the "Chilean Pitbull" Gary Medel has scored. The ex-Cardiff City defensive midfielder ran on to a lay-off from ex-Man City man Stevan Jovetic and fired in a skiddy shot that beat Roma's Arsenal on-loan keeper Wojciech Szczesny.

    Premier League made and conceded.

We have just over 10 minutes of the half remaining.

    Gary Medel
  27. HALF-TIME

    Getafe 0-1 Barcelona

  28. Post update

    Getafe 0-1 Barcelona

Getafe are conceding free-kicks left, right and centre.  This inswinging free-kick from the left is punched away by keeper Vicente Guaita. It doesn't look like this will stay 0-1.

    Sergio Busquets
  29. CLOSE!

Inter Milan 0-0 Roma (19:45 GMT)

I was typing this little entry just moments before Barca scored.

Earlier, Ivan Perisic went agonisingly close for Inter, cracking an angled shot that was pushed away by Wojciech Szczesny. At the other end Danilo D'Ambrosio flung himself in the way of Edin Dzeko to stop the ex-man City striker from scoring.

  30. GOAL - Getafe 0-1 Barcelona

    Luis Suarez

Forget the goal. Although it was a nice finish by Luis Suarez. CHECK OUT SERGI ROBERTO'S ASSIST!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!

Neymar cruises down the left crosses mid-height to Roberto on the edge of the area who first time finds Suarez with an angled backheel pass. I don't quite understand how he did it.

Suarez finished collected the ball and finished low at the near post.

    Luis Suarez
  31. GREAT SKILL!

    Getafe 0-0 Barcelona

Neymar drifts closer to the goal in the left of the area, he sells a dummy brilliantly and tees up team-mate Luis Suarez who pretty much air-kicks from six yards out.

  32. Meanwhile, in Milan....

Inter Milan 0-0 Roma (19:45 GMT)

Leaders Roma and possible leaders-to-be haven't created too much in these opening moments. The Rome side have had a bit more of the possession - long way to go in that one.

    Miralem Pjanic

  34. Post update

    Getafe 0-0 Barcelona

Now it's all very nice from Barcelona, but the final balls from full-backs Dani Alves and Jordi Alba have been shocking. Actually, why are they even crossing the ball? It should be played along the turf. That's the Barca way surely!

  35. KICK-OFF

    Inter Milan 0-0 Roma

The match is under way in Milan.

  36. Post update

    Getafe 0-0 barcelona

Rakitic tries one from 30 yards but it sails very, very high over Vicente Guaita's bar. Like, miles over. Lionel Messi would have just carried on running into the area, if he was here. Ahh Leo...

Moments later, Barca's Sergi Roberto heads towards goal from 12 yards out, but got his angles slightly wrong and heads into the ground far too close to him. Looked a little daft to be honest with you.

    Lionel Messi
  37. CLOSE!

    Getafe 0-0 Barcelona

    Aye! Aye!

Getafe should have scored. Serbian football Stefan Scepovic pulls the ball down brilliantly from a cross from the right, but his shot creeps a foot wide of the post

  39. Post update

    Getafe 0-0 Barcelona

Back to the match at Coliseum Alfonso Perez, Barca have had a lot of possession but aside from that Munir chance we've had little other action of note.

    Munir
  40. Post update

Inter Milan v Roma (19:45 GMT)

Wellllll... let me think about that one.

  41. VERY CLOSE!

    Getafe 0-0 Barcelona

Wowsers! Munir should have given Barca the lead from two yards out. He opts to go for an overhead rather than header from Neymar's bullet of a cross from the left.

  42. KICK-OFF

    Getafe 0-0 Barcelona

Anyway, back to the Madrid metropolitan area. Getafe get this La Liga match under way.

  43. Juve up to 10th in Serie A

    Juventus 2-1 Torino

Before we kick off a Serie A match has just finished - in fact it was the Turin derby between the "initially struggling but improving of late" champions Juventus and Torino.

The scoreline was 2-1 to Juve thanks to a 90the minute goal by midfielder Juan Cuadrado, on loan from Chelsea. Juve are now up to 10th, level on 15 points with Torino.

    Read the report.

  46. Serie A sizzler

Inter Milan v Roma (19:45 GMT)

    Woah! Woah! Woah!

So fourth place Inter can go top if they beat leaders Roma?

    And that's on tonight too?

    Yes and yes.

Roma have a two point lead over Napoli, Fiorentina and Inter going into the match in Milan.

Napoli and the Florence side play on Sunday, leaving Inter with the chance to usurp their rivals ce soir.

"The team is flying right now. We've got another match coming up on Saturday. Roma will be a big test in our home stadium," said Inter keeper Samir Handanovic.

  47. LINE-UPS

Getafe XI: Guaita, Suarez, Ruano Delgado, Vergini, Lago, Rodríguez Villamuela, Lacen, Sanchez Gil, Rodríguez Romero, Sarabia, Scepovic.

  48. Barca to join Real?

    Getafe v Barcelona (19:30 GMT)

So Pele and the rest of you lot, we have Barca at Getafe coming up.

The hosts have 10 points from their nine games and sit in the lower section of mid-table, while Luis Enrique's side can join Real Madrid on 24 points, after they posted a 3-1 win over Las Palmas, with victory.

Should be a doddle for the Catalan club eh?

  49. 'Neymar? Not quite good enough yet'

    Getafe v Barcelona (19:30 GMT)

    Neymar

Brazil forward Neymar has been an integral part of Barcelona's forward line ever since the 23-year-old joined the Catalan club in 2013.

He has scored 39 goals in 56 La Liga appearances, but that's not good enough for one Brazilian legend - Pele.

"Neymar is a forward, he plays up front. It is a specific role. He does not track back, he does not organise, he is not involved in the build-up," Pele told Placar magazine.

But Pele, what if he helps Barca win a second treble this season? Pele? Pele? Why have you covered your ears?

Anyway, let's see whether Neymar... er... pulls his socks up tonight?

The match kicks off in 30 minutes.
