  1. Post update

We'll be back for the Boxing Day fixtures. Aberdeen are at home to Inverness CT and will be looking to go top of the table, with Celtic visiting Hearts on the 27th.

Today's highlights will be online from 18:00 GMT and on Sportscene, which has moved to 22:10 tomorrow night on BBC Two Scotland.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I hope Santa is good to you when the big day comes...

  2. Hibees on a high

Of course, Hibs go to Ibrox on 28 December and that should be a real humdinger, although neither side has been anywhere near their best in recent weeks...

Queen of the South are not happy about the late winner at Easter Road since it came from a drop ball when a visiting player was injured.

    Hibs celebrate their late goal
  3. Championship drama

The lunchtime kick-off saw Rangers miss a stoppage-time penalty in a 2-1 loss at Falkirk.

For the second week running, Hibernian scored in time added on to beat Queen of the South and move level on points with Mark Warburton's league leaders.

Falkirk still very much in the hunt, six points further back.

    Alloa 0-2 St Mirren

Hibernian 1-0 Queen of the South

    Livingston 1-1 Dumbarton

    Albion Rovers 1-1 Forfar Athletic

    Brechin 2-0 Stranraer

    Cowdenbeath 3-0 Airdrieonians

    Dunfermline 1-0 Stenhousemuir

    Peterhead 3-0 Ayr

    Clyde 0-2 Arbroath

    East Fife 1-1 Montrose

    East Stirlingshire 0-4 Berwick

    Elgin City 0-0 Queen’s Park

    Stirling 1-0 Annan Athletic

  5. Motherwell stun champions

Motherwell move further away from the relegation zone with their first win at Celtic Park since 2008.

The visitors played well throughout but it looked like their luck was out when they went behind to a deflected strike. However, Mark McGhee's side simply knuckled down and were rewarded by Louis Moult's double.

  6. Thistle keep run going

It might not have been a classic at Firhill but Partick Thistle players will enjoy their Christmas dinners, basking in the glory of a fourth consecutive league win. Alan Archibald's side are still in the bottom half of the table but are just two points off fifth place.

  7. Post update

Well, well, we were served up a few Christmas crackers today, with the odd turkey to keep us grounded in Scottish football land.

Aberdeen are right back in the mix, just one point behind Premiership leaders Celtic, although Ronny Deila's side do have a game in hand.

Hearts stay third, shoring up after going down to 10 men at St Johnstone then getting lucky as Saints missed a host of chances, including a dreadful missed penalty from Steven Maclean.

  8. Post update

Phew! A few twists in the tale today, with Motherwell picking up maximum points at Celtic Park and Dundee United seconds away from a victory away to Inverness CT, only to be undone by a goalkeeping howler.

  9. FULL-TIME Partick Thistle 1-0 Ross County

Four wins on the spin for the Jags, thanks to an odd own goal from Andrew Davies.

  10. GOAL - Championship round-up

Big, big goal as Dominique Malonga nods in a stoppage time goal for Hibernian. They'll go level on points with Rangers at the top of the Championship...

  11. FULL-TIME Celtic 1-2 Motherwell

A first home defeat for Celtic in the league this season, with Louis Moult scoring twice for the visitors.

    Motherwell celebrate
  12. FULL-TIME St Johnstone 0-0 Hearts

No goals but plenty of drama at McDiarmid Park. Hearts will certainly be happier with the point.

  13. FULL-TIME Kilmarnock 0-4 Aberdeen

The Dons are just one point behind Premiership leaders after a one-sided victory at Rugby Park.

  14. GREAT SAVE! St Johnstone 0-0 Hearts

Murray Davidson sticks out a boot trying to put St Johnstone ahead but Neil Alexander is on hand again to keep Hearts level.

  15. GOAL Inverness CT 2-2 Dundee Utd (Horner)

A howler from United keeper Mihael Szromnik! He lets the ball slip through his hands and it falls to, or rather bounces off, Lewis Horner for a late leveller.

  16. FULL-TIME Dundee 4-0 Hamilton

Dundee end their long wait for a win in style, with all the goals coming before the interval and Kane Hemmings netting a hat-trick.

  17. HITS THE WOODWORK Inverness CT 1-2 Dundee Utd

Gary Warren thumps a header against the crossbar as the Inverness defender meets a Greg Tansey delivery.

  18. CLOSE! Inverness CT 1-2 Dundee United

Almost a superb third goal for Dundee United, with Gavin Gunning curling a free-kick inches over the bar.

  19. Celtic 1-2 Motherwell

Celtic are streaming forward like ants towards honey as Motherwell defender Ben Hall clears off the line from Mikael Lustig.

  20. GOAL Kilmarnock 0-4 Aberdeen (Logan)

Aberdeen rip Kilmarnock open with good play from substitutes Cammy Smith and Peter Pawlett, before it is back heeled into the path of Shay Logan who can not miss.
