  1. Goodbye!

It is time for us to disappear into the night. But before we do we have one final bit of business to deal with....a look at the Premier League table.

Thanks for your company. Now get yourself to bed - we've got a big day ahead tomorrow....

  2. Man of the match

    Watford 0-0 Bournemouth

It was an afternoon where goalkeepers and defences came out on top. So it is unsurprising that one of the two stoppers is taking home our man of the match award. (Metaphorically speaking - we don't actually give them out...)

"He's unorthodox, but at times very effective - the Brazilian keeper produced good saves at Vicarage Road to deny Bournemouth an away win," says our man Saj Chowdhury.

  3. Manager reaction

    Watford 0-0 Bournemouth

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores: "When you don't win it's important to get a point. We are closer to the 40-point mark.

"I don't worry about Ighalo not scoring. He gets chances. All the players do need to contribute but we are creating chances - 0-0 is fair enough.

"Our next match is against Man United. They are strong. We have to go into the match knowing this will be tough."

  4. Manager reaction

    Watford 0-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "We should have won. We were excellent in long spells of the game. But it's a clean sheet and a point.

"Any point gained away from home is a valuable one. However, Gomes did make some wonderful saves today.

"I thought it was a penalty when Behrami handled. The ref had a good game though. The speed of which the ball flies around you, you have sympathy. But from my angle it looked a penalty."

  6. Post update

    Watford 0-0 Bournemouth

Here's one that Odion Ighalo won't want to see again in either video or graphical form. Tough. Watford's top scorer headed the best chance of the game well over the Bournemouth bar.

I'll tell you what will jolt you into life. A quick glance at Bournemouth's bright pink away shirt. Pretty.

  9. Team news

    Watford 0-0 Bournemouth

Watford make four changes from last weekend's FA Cup win over Leeds. Goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, left-back Nathan Ake, midfielder Valon Behrami and top scorer Odion Ighalo return to the line-up.

Bournemouth's Josh King partners Benik Afobe in attack, and Matt Ritchie and Junior Stanislas are picked in the midfield.

  10. Next up?

    Watford v Bournemouth

Still awake? Excellent. Although you might not be after this five minutes of fun. Come on, see this one through...

Watford and Bournemouth met for the 100th time in the league with the home side close to securing their top-flight status.

Bournemouth, in contrast, have lost their last three in all competitions and have a lot of work to do before they can talk about being safe.

  11. Post update

    Stoke 2-1 Aston Villa

Oh look at his sad face. Poor Remi Garde constantly wears the expression of a bloke who has just walked into the pouring rain without a brolly or a hood. You've got to feel sorry for him.

  13. Manager reaction

    Stoke 2-1 Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Remi Garde: "The players did what they can.

"The first 45 minutes we were OK and defended well. We tried to do our best but we started the second half too poorly and when you are 2-0 down it is over.

"When you are bottom of the table it is difficult to play with full confidence. The fans were behind the team. We don't have enough quality."

    Remi Garde
  14. Manager reaction

    Stoke 2-1 Aston Villa

Stoke boss Mark Hughes speaking to BBC Sport: "We needed to be a little more dynamic in the second half and we were.

"At 2-0 we were quite comfortable and cruising to a conclusion. The referee should have given a free-kick to ourselves [in the build-up to Aston Villa's goal] but at 2-1... that was a threat to us but all in all I felt we coped with it.

"Every time we have had a little blip we have bounced back very quickly and we have done that today."

    Mark Hughes
  15. Man of the match

    Stoke 2-1 Aston Villa

He scored two goals, set one of them up himself and rocks out the man-bun. No wonder our man Alan Jewell picked Stoke forward Marko Arnautovic as his man of the match.

  18. Arnautovic can do it all

    Stoke 2-1 Aston Villa

Stoke forward Marko Arnautovic (10) set up his own second goal with a looping header from Xherdan Shaqiri's cross which he then chested in.

An assist for your own goal! Lovely stuff.

    Stoke 2-1 Aston Villa

I knew I should have put Marko Arnautovic in my fantasy team. Instead I went for his team-mate Giannelli Imbula. Schoolboy error.

  20. Don't look now

    Stoke 2-1 Aston Villa

Oh dear. There are going to be some pre-bedtime tears from young Frankie Westwood.

It's another Match of the Day that Ashley Westwood and his lad won't want to watch. The Villa man is the guilty party for Stoke's first goal, bringing down Phil Bardsley to concede the penalty....
