  1. Can you actually get any closer?

    Tottenham 2-2 Arsenal

Goal-line technology came to the rescue as Harry Kane stabbed a shot at goal. David Ospina stood behind his goalline to somehow keep the ball out... just.

  2. Coquelin's day to forget

    Tottenham 2-2 Arsenal

Image caption: Leaving your team-mates to play the last 35 minutes of a fiercely contested local derby was never going to be a good feeling

  4. Rusty Rambo

    Tottenham 2-2 Arsenal

    Aaron Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey had a busy but somewhat sloppy day aside from his super flick for the opener.

With 82 touches, he saw more ball than any player on the pitch but he completed just 60% of his passes. Only Kyle Walker (59%) - of all the outfield starters - was more loose with his distribution.

  7. 'Just look at his face!'

Right then. Ready for this? That theme tune...

Here's a quick reminder of the running order:

    • Tottenham v Arsenal
    • Watford v Leicester
    • Everton v West Ham
    • Newcastle v Bournemouth
    • Manchester City v Aston Villa
    • Southampton v Sunderland
    • Swansea v Norwich
    • Chelsea v Stoke
  8. Leicester's title motivation?

That reference to Gary Lineker's underwear by the way - in case you didn't get it - is all about his promising to present Match of the Day in just his pants if Leicester win the league...

For a footballer of the 1980s (and 90s) this is probably less daunting than it sounds.

That looks quite a lot like a Portuguese-style custard tart?

One more quick thing to mention before normal service resumes.

For those of you not in the know about this sort of thing, the hashtag #motd is a very different beast when there's no Match of the Day on.

Most of the week it's all about make up - shimmery eyes with Marc Jacobs Kiss Kiss Bang Bang lipstick, for example.

Other Kiss Kiss Bang Bang lipsticks are available.Marc Jacobs is certainly a bit highbrow for this live text.

So stay tuned, crack open a bottle of sherry if you should so wish, and enjoy.

  13. Good evening

Good evening everyone, and welcome to Match of the Day Social.

And it really is a good evening if you're a Leicester fan - with Foxes extended their  lead at the top of the Premier League table to five points today.

Their win away to Watford doesn't make top of the billing tonight though...
