  1. Goodbye

Right, we'll leave it there, on a brilliant day for Watford, but a desperately disappointing one for Arsenal.

Plenty more live football action for you to enjoy on the website at the moment, as Manchester United take on West Ham in the Cup, and Aston Villa host Spurs in the League.

    But from me, goodbye.

  2. Gunning for the boss

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

In probably the day's least surprising development...

Liam O'Connor: Wenger is like our old family dog. We know he is suffering and it's time for him to go. We just don't have the heart to do it.

Stephen Lewis: Wenger has been lowest common denominator. Definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

  4. 'We're doing something important'

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

Some more quotes from Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores, who praises his strike-partnership of Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo.

"The telepathy between the players, when Deeney touches it, Ighalo knows where the ball is going - they are an amazing couple for us," says Flores, who also hailed the performance of Adlene Guedioura, who grabbed a stunning goal with a powerful strike from just inside the penalty area.

"He represents the behaviour of our players very well. He has not played a lot, but he kept working hard and now has the prize.

"We have a very strong unit, and sometimes we need to remember we are a squad and doing something important this year."

  5. Today's other games under way

We're under way at Old Trafford, where Manchester United face West Ham in the FA Cup - you can follow that live text here.

And there's also Premier League action - Spurs can rub salt in Arsenal's wounds by beating Aston Villa to consolidate their place in the top two. Follow that live text here.

  6. 'An amazing prize'

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores tells BBC Sport: "I feel fantastic, I'm really happy for the players and the fans. They follow us and it is an amazing prize for them.

"It was difficult in the first half, we tried to contain Arsenal and then try to create attempts and play well. It was difficult in the end and we were expecting that a bit more during the game.

"In the last two months we were being competitive, but not winning. I have memories on television of the old Wembley and watching in Spain and seeing the finals of this competition.

"Now it is a new Wembley, I've just arrived in England, and to get there is exciting. I'm really happy for the fans and they deserve this kind of day."

Elixir Amrit Gautam: Enough of this mentality and his old tactics. Highest price in Europe deserve something. Wenger should retire with respect.

Harry Lee: It really is time for Wenger to go. No power or creativity in the squad and Chambers and Campbell are jokes.

  8. 'Happy to go to Wembley'

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

    Adlene Guedioura celebrates his goal

Watford's Adlene Guedioura, who scored his side's second goal, says: "We worked hard, it was a good game and we're happy to go to Wembley.

"All week the manager tried to explain that it would be like this and with the plan we had, it was fine.

"We worked hard until the end of the game and hopefully we go further than the semi-final. It will be a great day for the fans."

Asked who he wants in the next round, he does not hesitate to reply "Crystal Palace", the club he left in September to join the Hornets.

  9. Welbeck sets up frenetic finish

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

Here's the Arsenal goal, scored by Danny Welbeck. A good finish but how he will rue his miss a few minutes later.

Robert Furniss: No transition/cohesion since Santi out. Poor season deserves nothing. Players to leave but must keep Wenger.

Atticus Montreal: World-class players miss empty nets and firing Wenger will fix everything! Like it did when Chelsea sacked Mourinho!

  11. 'We deserved a win'

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "Our fantastic run has come to an end on a day where we felt that our performance deserved a win. Credit to Watford, they created few chances but took them all. It's sad because we gave everything.

"The players don't miss on purpose. You have to be realistic. Of course on the first goal, we made a mistake. It was not possible medically to have started Welbeck.

"It is very difficult against Barcelona, but we have to see it as a challenge and try to make the impossible possible."

  12. 'My son is an Arsenal fan, I've got bragging rights'

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

Watford captainTroy Deeney: "I thought we deserved it, we stuck to the game plan well, counter-attacked well and had opportunities.

"Me and Iggy (Odion Ighalo) have been doing that all season and we've been getting some stick from the press that we haven't scored in three or four games, but there were a lot of unsung heroes out there for us today.

"The most bragging rights I've got is my son is an Arsenal fan so he has to make the teas in the house today. But we're going to Wembley and for the town it will be a massive occasion. We don't want to just go there and make up the numbers."

  13. Guedioura's thunderbolt

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

How good was this strike? Brilliant from Adlene Guedioura. Watford fans, enjoy it all over again.

Nic Lewis: Wenger at risk of damaging his reputation beyond repair. Should have left after Hull FA Cup Final win.

David Willis: Wenger said he'd quit when he couldn't do the job anymore. Well that time has come. For the sake of the club he must go.

Rt Rev Liam Reilly: Arsenal players missing sitter after sitter but the fans will still find a way to blame Wenger.

  15. Season over?

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

Pasa Mustafa: Resign at the end of the season Wenger. Do us and yourself a favour and let us re-build.

Prashant Gadag: Don't deserve to win anything this year. Team that plays 5 months and limps for 5.

  19. Post update

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

Quique Sanchez Flores hugs each one of his players. He's taken the Hornets to Wembley in his first season. What a brilliant effort.

  20. 'Watford deserve it'

    Arsenal 1-2 Watford

    Steve Claridge

Ex-Portsmouth striker on BBC Radio 5 live

"It was too little, too late. Arsenal were behind for half an hour and they didn't look like getting back into it, before a late flurry. But I think Watford just about deserve it. They played well and took their chances well."
