So this is the table now.

    Champo table

Middlesbrough and Brighton both play tomorrow to reduce the deficit at the top.

Those two also have to play each other on the final day so the Clarets know two more wins means Premier League football next term.

    Preston remain in 10th position.

In front of a packed away end containing 5,630 fans, the Clarets win this Lancashire derby.

  7. CLOSE!

Callum Robinson goes so, so close.

Calum Woods' floated ball in is just cushioned towards goal by the Preston substitute but it just goes over the crossbar.

  8. Preston 0-1 Burnley

Paul Gallagher's free-kick strikes the wall and then Calum Woods' follow up is charged down.

Burnley holding on a bit now with this Preston pressure.

  19. Preston 0-1 Burnley

Burnley just taking the sting out of the game for a couple of minutes.
