Angel di Maria's goal won the cup for PSG; Vincent Enyeama's rush of blood to the head very much lost it for Lille.

The big story of the night, though, is that Barcelona are top of La Liga - and just cannot stop scoring. They had to settle for six against Sporting Gijon, but Luis Suarez helped himself to another four. That's it from us. Thanks for your company.

FULL-TIME

Paris St-Germain 2-1 Lille

Lille's players sink to the turf, wondering how on earth they managed to lose that one. Paris St-Germain, who played almost a quarter of the game with 10 men, are the Coupe de la Ligue winners for the third year running.

Paris St-Germain 2-1 Lille

...and it's wasted. That surely is it.

Paris St-Germain 2-1 Lille

One last free-kick for Lille as Thiago Silva fouls Eder...

Paris St-Germain 2-1 Lille

Final change for PSG: Edinson Cavani, who may feel unlucky not to have started tonight, is on for Angel di Maria - the likely match-winner. Three minutes of stoppage time to play.

Paris St-Germain 2-1 Lille

Lille go close again. Marcos 'Rony' Lopes, the former Manchester City youth player, sees a shot deflected wide, and then Salvatore Sirigu is scrambling across his goal to deal with the resulting corner. PSG are nearly there, but not quite.

Paris St-Germain 2-1 Lille

The Coupe de la Ligue final is set up for a terrific finish. Lille press, and Sebastien Corchia's cross from the right is mis-hit by Djibril Sidibe and runs loose to Mounir Obbadi, whose 20-yard shot rolls just wide of the post. A little more than five minutes to play.

Paris St-Germain 2-1 Lille

It has been a cup final full of counter-attacking, and that is playing into the hands of PSG as Lille chase the game. Angel di Maria breaks and feeds Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the pass is a touch heavy, and Vincent Enyeama advances to block the Sweden international's shot.

Paris St-Germain 2-1 Lille

Straight away, Adama Soumaoro has a great chance to equalise for Lille, planting a header wide from a free-kick.

Then PSG burst forward themselves, with Serge Aurier charging down the right, and Vincent Enyeama advancing quickly to save. It's not exactly redemption for Lille's goalkeeper, though.

PSG have reorganised after Adrien Rabiot's sending off, with striker Lucas Moura going off and midfielder Marco Verratti coming on. David Luiz is also now on for Laurent Blanc's side, replacing goalscorer Javier Pastore for the final 11 minutes.

GOAL - Paris St-Germain 2-1 Lille

Angel di Maria (73 mins)

What a ridiculous goal. Salvatore Sirigu's clearance flicks off Adama Soumaoro's head to send Angel di Maria clear. For reasons unknown, Lille keeper Vincent Enyeama charges 30 yards from his goal to meet the Argentina international, with no hope of getting there. All Di Maria has to do is nick the ball past the keeper. It rolls slowly into the net, and the 10 men lead 2-1.

RED CARD - Adrien Rabiot (PSG)

Paris St-Germain 1-1 Lille

Well, well, well. PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot, booked for conceding the free-kick from which Djibril Sidibe equalised for Lille, has gone. Rabiot loses the ball to Sofiane Boufal and, in trying to win it back, fouls the Lille man. It's a second booking. PSG are down to 10 men. Advantage Lille now.

34 - Luis Suarez has scored more league goals in 2015/16 (34) than Mario Balotelli in his last five seasons (29). Carnivore.

Paris St-Germain 1-1 Lille

So, I hear you ask, what happens if the Coupe de la Ligue final is level after 90 minutes? Is there a replay at Villa Park a week on Wednesday? No, there is not. We have extra-time and penalties. Only one of the last 11 finals has needed extra-time. The final has not gone to a penalty shoot-out since 2004.

Rob Kershaw: If you were to draw Barca's recent form on a graph, you would have a very wavy line

Paris St-Germain 1-1 Lille

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back to head the set-piece away for PSG, who do not look comfortable here.

Paris St-Germain 1-1 Lille

I would say Lille are on top at the moment. We have 25 minutes of the 90 to play in Paris. Morgan Amalfitano has a sight of goal from 25 yards, but the ball is deflected away from a corner...

Lfcway: Suarez scores 4 goals again. Barca 14 in two games. This is just ridiculous

Olubunmi B Adewumi: Suarez....eight goals in two games...Speechless

Dave Wood: Four goals in back to back games. Sublime & ridiculous at the same time

Paris St-Germain 1-1 Lille

An extraordinary night at the Nou Camp. Over at the Stade de France, Lille are seeking a second goal in the Coupe de la Ligue final against Paris St-Germain. Sofiane Boufal, a real attacking threat, runs at the PSG defence from the left, and whips in a shot that Salvatore Sirigu has to turn around his near post.

FULL-TIME - Barcelona 6-0 Sporting Gijon

Game over.

A match not short of talking points.

Luis Suarez scores four. Again.

Neymar was a bit shaky. Again.

Barcelona are top. Again.

INJURY TIME

Barcelona 6-0 Sporting Gijon

Two minutes added on. What a crazy ending to this game.

Paris St-Germain 1-1 Lille

Two chances in two minutes for Zlatan Ibrahimovic as PSG attempt to respond. The first, he heads wide, the second is deflected over. I know most of you are here for the Barcelona game, but this Coupe de la Ligue final is set up beautifully now.

GOAL - Barcelona 6-0 Sporting Gijon

Luis Suarez (88 mins)

Luis Suarez has scored four goals! For the second time in a week! Lionel Messi slips in the Uruguayan, who beats Ivan Cuellar at his near post - via the woodwork. Scenes.

GOAL - Barcelona 5-0 Sporting Gijon

Neymar (86 mins)

Luis Suarez isn't given the chance to make it two four-goal hauls in a row. Neymar instead is given the chance to boost his confidence. And he does. Sort of.

His penalty is actually poor down the centre and Ivan Cuellar gets a touch but it goes in anyway.

A rout.

RED CARD

Barcelona 4-0 Sporting Gijon

Ognjen Vranjes put his arm on Neymar's back. A second yellow sees him off. Very very harsh.

PENALTY TO BARCELONA

Barcelona 4-0 Sporting Gijon

Amazing. It's another penalty.

GOAL - Paris St-Germain 1-1 Lille

Djibril Sidibe (48 mins)

A great response from Lille.  Soufiane Boufal surges down the centre, and is brought down just outside the penalty area by Adrien Rabiot, who is booked. It's a Lille free-kick, a couple of yards from the edge of the D.

Djibril Sidibe steps up, and places it into the corner past an unsighted Salvatore Sirigu. Game on.

KICK-OFF

Paris St-Germain 1-0 Lille

PSG are 45 minutes away from winning the Coupe de la Ligue for a third successive season.

Barcelona 4-0 Sporting Gijon

Barca quite possibly (ahem) spiting Cristiano Ronaldo by allowing Suarez to take these pens. Two clear as La Liga top scorer now.

Barcelona 4-0 Sporting Gijon

Luis Suarez has 12 minutes left to make it consecutive four-goal hauls. He scored half of Wednesday's eight goals against Deportivo.

GOAL - Barcelona 4-0 Sporting Gijon

Luis Suarez (77 mins)

Luis Suarez completes his hat-trick as he shoots down the middle after Ivan Cuellar had dived.

His fourth hat-trick of the season (well two quadruples and two trebles).

PENALTY TO BARCELONA

Barcelona 3-0 Sporting Gijon

It's another spot-kick as ex-Barca B man Antonio Sanabria shoves over Neymar.

Paris St-Germain 1-0 Lille

4 - Layvin Kurzawa has delivered an assist in each of his last 4 games all comps with Paris. Shape.

SUBSTITUTION

Barcelona 3-0 Sporting Gijon

Barcelona can relax now and Arda Turan comes on for Ivan Rakitic in midfield. Of course it's not really like Barca have anything to rest players for. They're the only La Liga title contender not in the Champions League anymore.

GOAL - Barcelona 3-0 Sporting Gijon

Luis Suarez (74 mins)

Luis Suarez takes the lead in the race for the Spanish golden boot as he sends the keeper the wrong way. He's on 32 La Liga goals for the season - one above Cristiano Ronaldo.

PENALTY TO BARCELONA

Barcelona 2-0 Sporting Gijon

Roberto Canella's second touch is to concede a penalty as he handles Dani Alves' cross from the right.

Barcelona 2-0 Sporting Gijon

Roberto Canella's first touch is to deny Barcelona a brilliant third. Neymar clips a ball over the top to Lionel Messi, who controls the ball on his thigh twice and then shoots towards goal but the Sporting defender clears.

SUBSTITUTION

Barcelona 2-0 Sporting Gijon

Sporting Gijon make a change at the back as Roberto Canella replaces Isma Lopez. There's 20 minutes to go.

Barcelona 2-0 Sporting Gijon

Ivan Rakitic fires one wide for Barcelona on the bounce from 20 yards. The Catalans are in control now.

HALF-TIME

Paris St-Germain 1-0 Lille

Vincent Enyeama is still protesting to the officials as the half-time whistle goes, to the point that he has to be dragged away by a member of Lille's coaching staff.

So: Let's have a look at the offside law. It states that:

A player in an offside position is only penalised if, at the moment the ball touches or is played by one of his team, he is, in the opinion of the referee, involved in active play by:

1) Interfering with play, or2) Interfering with an opponent, or3) Gaining an advantage by being in that position.

Enyeama's argument, I would guess, is that Layvin Kurzawa was interfering with an opponent, because the goalkeeper could not get a clear dive towards Javier Pastore's shot. Discuss.
