    Edinburgh City opened up a three-goal advantage in the first leg of the pyramid play-off.

    The eventual winner will face Scottish League Two bottom side East Stirlingshire.

    Hibernian's scoreless draw with Greenock Morton gives Falkirk the opportunity to open up a five-point gap in the race for second place in the Scottish Championship, although Hibs would have a game in hand.

    Queen of the South 3-1 Livingston

    Rangers 1-1 Alloa Athletic


    Dumbarton 2-1 St Mirren

    Dumbarton secure their Scottish Championship safety after coming from behind to beat St Mirren.

    With champions East Fife assured promotion, Queen's Park move up to second after beating Clyde, who slip to fourth. Elgin City are third while Annan Athletic are a point off Clyde and three behind Queen's Park and Elgin ahead of next week's closing fixtures.

    Only three of Queen's Park, Elgin, Clyde and Annan will progress to the play-offs.

    Forfar Athletic's relegation to the bottom tier has been confirmed following their defeat by Albion Rovers.

    Cowdenbeath drop into the relegation play-off spot.

    Stranraer maintain fourth place in the race to secure the final promotion play-off place, despite losing to Brechin City, who move above second bottom.

    Airdrie and Albion Rovers go into next week's final week of fixtures two points off Stranraer.

    Ayr and Peterhead are already assured play-off places as they attempt to join champions Dunfermline in the Championship.

    Championship second bottom side Livingston face a relegation play-off after Derek Lyle's double gives Queens victory.


    Partick Thistle 1-2 Dundee

    Dundee claim their third win at Firhill this season, with Kane Hemmings' double making the difference.


    Motherwell 1-0 Hearts

    Motherwell reclaim fourth place in the Scottish Premiership with a narrow victory over Hearts, who remain eight points behind second-placed Hearts.
