  1. Good night

    Barcelona

It's been a good end to a good Spanish season. Barcelona won the La Liga title on the final day after a dramatic collapse in April, and then needed extra time to win the double in a game with three red cards today.

I say it's the end of the Spanish season...

But Real and Atletico play in the second Champions League final Madrid derby in three years next Saturday.

Join us next weekend for that.

Buenas Noches. Or for our Catalan readers, bona nit.

Neil Halliwell: With that stat (23:13), does their failure to win the double mean Leicester have underachieved then?

Yeah, those Leicester jokers lost to Spurs in the FA Cup third round. Shoddy.

  3. Post update

Andres Iniesta lifts the Spanish Cup high in the air - the 28th time a Barcelona captain has done so.

  4. Post update

Each of Barcelona's players get a tiny little cup rather than a medal. Nice, but harder to wear for post-match boozing.

  5. Post update

Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta: "It has been really great. It was tough and we had to dig deep. It has been a magnificent season."

Callum Morrison: With this 0-0 after 90 mins it clearly means that the Scottish cup was the best/most entertaining final this weekend

  7. Post update

Sevilla fans have stayed until the end and are still making a great noise. It's been a good season for them, despite this defeat. They live for the Europa League.

And now Barcelona's players climb the Vicente Calderon stairs.

    Vitolo looks dejected
  8. Post update

Lionel Messi picks up a child with Papi 10 on the back of his Barcelona shirt. I presume it's his kid.

Now the officials get their ashtray-looking things. Referee Carlos del Cerro Grande looking nice and relaxed after his massage during the last period of extra time.

  10. Post update

Sevilla's players are getting their runner-up medals now. I'm surprised they had the energy to even climb the stairs.

Remember (and if you are a Liverpool fan, how can you forget?) they played in another cup final on Wednesday - winning that one.

They had injury and suspension problems tonight.

  11. Post update

Barcelona are the only team to win both La Liga and the Copa del Rey for two seasons in a row (1951-52 and 52-53 and again now).

  12. Post update

There have been domestic doubles in Spain (Barcelona), Germany (Bayern Munich), Italy (Juventus) and France (Paris St-Germain) this season.

Yesterday's French Cup final was the only one to be decided in 90 minutes.

England the only major league to have different league and cup winners.

Barcelona have actually won the Spanish fair play award this season!

  15. Post update

Sevilla's players are in tears on the pitch. They played their part in a thrilling game, but they have been made to pay for failing to take their chances during the hour or so they had a man advantage.

  16. Post update

This is the first time Sevilla have lost a major cup final since the 1960s. They had won seven out of their last seven before tonight, including Wednesday's Europa League final.

  17. BARCELONA WIN THE COPA DEL REY

The final whistle goes at the Vicente Calderon and Barcelona have won the Spanish league and cup double for the second season in a row.

    Barcelona's players celebrate
  18. GOAL - Barcelona 2-0 Sevilla

    Neymar

Barcelona are going to win the Spanish league and cup double, there's no doubt about that now. Lionel Messi gets his second assist of the game as he slips in Neymar, who slots home.

    Game over.

    Barcelona players celebrate
  19. RED CARD FOR SEVILLA

Sevilla are down to nine men. Daniel Carrico slides Lionel Messi and wins the ball, but catches a lot of Argentine in the process.

He's only booked for the foul, but then has a moan and gets a second yellow for dissent. Idiot.

  20. INJURY TIME

Four minutes added on. A lot of them for the referee's massage.
