  1. FULL-TIME

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

Liverpool had 25 shots, Burnley had three. But the Clarets take the points and were a lot more comfortable than the statistics might suggest.

    Dyche
  2. SUBSTITUTION

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

Andre Gray is cheered to the rafters as he trots off, to be replaced by teenage Australian Aiden O'Neill, who comes on for his senior debut to help to see this one out.

  3. INJURY TIME

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

Burnley have three minutes of stoppage time to survive before they clinch their first win of the season.

  4. Post update

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

No, it is just not happening for Jurgen Klopp's men today. Burnley's superb organisation at the back leaves Liverpool frustrated and they end up firing wide from outside the box yet again, through Nathaniel Clyne.

    Jurgen Klopp
  5. Post update

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

Marko Grujic fires over the Burnley bar. He must have been 30 yards out - I would say Liverpool are getting desperate but they have been doing that all game.

  6. Get Involved

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

David Dunphy: Liverpool need someone with pace and raw power. Someone like, say, Christian Benteke.

  7. Post update

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

Liverpool are camped in the Burnley half. The Clarets have 10 players behind the ball.

  8. Maintain the pressure

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin

Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Dyche just isn't shutting up shop. He wants to push those Liverpool centre-backs towards their goal.

    Arfield and Lallana
  9. SUBSTITUTION

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

Another change for Burnley. Sam Vokes is off. Lukas Jutkiewicz is on, probably with instructions to run around a lot and defend from the front.

  10. Post update

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

    Jason Roberts

Former West Brom striker on Final Score

What we saw at Arsenal was a Liverpool team playing in the Klopp way, high intensity, but today we have to give a lot of credit to Burnley.

    Boyd and Henderson
  11. Post update

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

Almost an instant impact from Marko Grujic. His shot from the edge of the box brings a reflex save from Tom Heaton. Burnley are defending deep and in numbers, can they keep this up?

  12. Attack is the best form of defence

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin

Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Almost every other manager in the league would take one of the two strikers off to help the midfield out but not Dyche. He's basically saying we might sneak another goal here.

    Sean Dyche
  13. SUBSTITUTION

    Liverpool 2-0 Burnley

Yes, here comes Alberto Moreno... and Marko Grujic. They replace James Milner and Adam Lallana and have 13 minutes to rescue something from this game.

    Alberto Moreno
  14. The obvious solution...

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

Alberto Moreno is coming on for Liverpool. No, I'm not making that up.

  15. Post update

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

    Martin Keown

Former England defender on Football Focus

"Today Liverpool look very ordinary and are devoid of ideas. Burnley are picking them off."

    James Milner
  16. 'Origi is a targetman'

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin

Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Liverpool need someone they can aim at in the middle and they haven't had anyone with any height or physique so far. With Origi they have that and although it's a surprise to take Sturridge off he is not fully fit yet,

    Daniel Sturridge
  17. Post update

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

The overall shot count is 20-3 in Liverpool's favour and the Reds have had 85% of possession in this second half, but there is not enough urgency from the visitors and most of their efforts at goal have been a) from distance and b) off target... step forward Philippe Coutinho as the main offender there.

  18. Get Involved

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

Alistair Lowe:  Mane's pace already looks indispensable. LFC have crabbed across the pitch for 70 minutes and Heaton's only save is from Clyne!

  19. Burnley will be delighted

    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin

Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

It's been same-old from Liverpool this game and Burnley will be delighted about that. They've got themselves organised and covered in terms of the attacking spaces. It's just too predictable.
