That's a wrap from us then.

There is live football every single night this week though. The best seven days since Craig David went for a drink.

See you tomorrow.

'Too easy for Everton'

Sunderland 0-3 Everton

Sunderland boss David Moyes, speaking to BBC Sport: "We played quite well at times in the first half, but we didn't defend crosses well all night. I thought it was too easy [for Everton], we made it really easy. For us not to be in and around defending those areas [for the goals] I find hard to believe.

"Jordan Pickford played well but we needed him to play well. It's tough putting together a relatively new team. But we never really got a full grip on the game as I would have liked."

'Cheap goals'

Sunderland boss David Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a really poor second half. The two crosses that led to goals, I can't believe they were not defended. We are putting together a new team and it's going to take time. I was really disappointed with the last 30 minutes.

"We gave up the goals really cheaply and didn't do the basics right. We got punished. I can't wait to get to them and ask 'why weren't you doing your jobs?'

"We have got some young players and had a young side out. But that's no excuse when you are in the big league."

Not wishing to put a dampener on things but we still have a long season in front of us. We had this when Martinez first came along. Let's support the boys to the last but let's not carried away. It's great to have a tactically aware manager in Koeman . Great start let's keep going.

European football for Everton? How high can they go?

'I know the quality of the players'

Ronald Koeman

Everton manager Ronald Koeman on BBC: "In the second half we kept the ball much better and created goals and still we had more opportunities to score.

"The hat-trick was important for the boy himself – the press is talking about the long time since he scored for Everton and I said to him it is always best to answer on the pitch

"He is a great player, a target player and you need goals to win games and he impressed.

"I know the quality of players, we are very strong and had some good signings, I think Europe is a realistic target. The start is very good but it is only after four matches."

As a passionate Sunderland supporter I never want to hear this, but I feel this year is the year we succumb to the dreaded drop. Unless Moyes turns it around sharpish then it's the Championship for us next season.

The way the Premier League is going this season, Sunderland will turn Spurs over!

'Europe the target'

Sunderland 0-3 Everton

More from Everton boss Ronald Koeman, speaking to Sky Sports: "I think we will be one of the teams that will fight for European fotoball. That is a realistic target. If we play like we did in first half we will be 13th or 14th. The players are not stupid - they know what they can do."

'I never doubted Lukaku'

Everton manager Ronald Koeman, speaking to Sky Sports: "I was really disappointed with our first 45 minutes. It wasn't the Everton I like to see. We lost a lot of easy balls. We had difficulties but the second half is what I like to see. We got a reaction in the second half. That was the level in the second half.

"I did not have doubts about him [Lukaku]. The two goals Romelu scored with Belgium gave him a boost. It's unbelievable how good he is. I told him the best answer was on the pitch.

"Maybe he [Idrissa Gueye] was the key. He is a player with a lot of energy. He takes good positions and he is that key player in midfield."

Johnny Magrinho: Swansea & Sunderland are definitely relegated. Then take your pick from any of the new boys, Southampton, Bournemouth & WBA.

Craig Smith: You can't even say #Lukaku was unplayable. We gave him two free headers and a poor defensive line for the third

Ronald Koeman says he was "really angry" with his team at half-time.

It certainly worked.

'Not good enough'

Duncan Watmore

Sunderland striker Duncan Watmore, speaking to Sky Sports: "It wasn't good enough from us. We need to do better for the fans. We felt we were controlling the game quite well but the goals are frustrating and the manager is annoyed. We have to be positive. We need to get the fans behind us because that wasn't good enough."

Sunderland 0-3 Everton

That's a great attitude from Romelu Lukaku isn't it? He was unhappy that he didn't score five.

'We could have done better'

Everton hat-trick hero Romelu Lukaku, speaking to Sky Sports: "We could have done better in the first half. Up front we didn't keep the ball and we didn't create enough chances. It wasn't not good enough."

On his goal drought: "I think it was all about fitness levels. I'm happy for the team. I think I could have had five in the end. I have to be more of a serial killer for the team to achieve their objective."

'Lukaku was almost unplayable'

Ally McCoist

There was only one team in it in the second half. When Romelu Lukaku is playing like that... if he's not unplayable then is very close. I was very impressed with Yannick Bolasie. If it wasn't for Lukaku's hat-trick then Bolasie would be man-of-the-match. It's a big, big ask for Sunderland to go to Tottenham now next Sunday.

Romelu Lukaku has the matchball pouched under his jersey as he takes the acclaim from his team-mates and supporters. Now the barren spell is over how many can he get this season?

I've rarely seen a collapse in performance and discipline quite as stark and shocking as that from Sunderland tonight. They went from fairly comfortable to completely wrecked in one Romelu Lukaku header.

'Richly deserved'

The applause Romelu Lukaku is receiving from Everton's travelling fans is richly deserved. He's a real handful. It's almost laughable to think before the game we were talking about his barren spell. He could have had four. He's scored three and hit the bar.

Just to add further injury to insult, Patrick van Aanholt is down with an injury again for Sunderland. The physio tries to prevent him from returning - Sunderland have used all of their subs - but he's come back on. I don't know why.

Ronald Koeman's side look very, very strong. His signings look fantastic. They are in total control. The atmosphere is getting sucked out of the Stadium of Light - that's to Everton's credit.

'Damage limitation'

There's a lot of empty seats now. You can sense the atmosphere among the Sunderland fans. It feels like damage limitation for Sunderland. They have been ripped apart.

So much of sport is between the ears, and a psychologist would have a field day with this Sunderland performance. Defensively, they looked pretty solid right up until the point Everton broke the deadlock. They then had a collective nightmare as Everton ripped them apart.

'Utter capitulation'

#bbcfootball

Paul Thompson: A disastrous second half for David Moyes. How long until the Wearsiders get restless? An utter capitulation. Championship beckons...

Robbie Edwards: I'd rather be relegated now. Saves us the formality of another season at the bottom with no direction at all.

Derek Harrison: I see Moyes is as good as ever. Takes off his most effective defender - Lynden Gooch  - and in 10 minutes Everton 3-0 up. He's lost it.

Sunderland 0-3 Everton

You knew this already but that is the first hat-trick of the Premier League season. His first goal came after 40 unsuccessful shots for Everton. Persistence.

Yannick Bolasie has had an incredibly good 20-minute spell but he is carrying a niggle so he comes off, with youngster Tom Davies getting a run-out.

And here's a Sunderland debut for Jason Denayer. David Moyes goes to three at the back. That horse hasn't just bolted, it's a lasagne by the time that gate has been shut.

It should be four! Romelu Lukaku thrashes over after driving through the middle again. Sunderland's defence has gone from catenaccio to catastrophic.

I've not seen a collapse like this since England's batting order at any point from 1990-2003.
