  1. That's all folks

Okay, that's enough from me. Congratulations to Rangers and Morton for reaching the semi-finals of the League Cup and a big slap on the back for the Scotland women's team who were 2-1 winners in Iceland earlier this evening.

Qualification was already assured but that fine victory will boost confidence ahead of next year's Euro 2017 finals.

  2. Post update

    FT: Morton 2-1 Dundee United

The United boss sounded absolutely furious there. His team will have the chance to make amends on Saturday when Morton visit Tannadice in the Championship.

  3. McKinnon laments lame showing

    FT: Morton 2-1 Dundee United

Dundee United manager Ray McKinnon on BBC Radio Scotland

"Everything was pedestrian in the first half, we had no purpose. It was tippy-tappy without any penetration and we got punished twice.

"Full credit to Morton, I'm really disappointed with that. It's probably the worst we've been this season. We need to be more positive on the ball and put teams on the back foot."

  4. Skelton not dwelling on defeat

FT: Rangers 5-0 Queen of the South

Queen of the South manager Gavin Skelton talking to BT Sport

"Fair play to Rangers, they were lively. We were bright at the start of the second half and it might have been different if we had managed to nick a goal then.

"We let ourselves down but we need to move on and look forward to a massive game against Hibs at the weekend."

  5. Warburton revels in Rangers' dominance

FT: Rangers 5-0 Queen of the South

Rangers manager Mark Warburton talking to BT Sport

"We dominated the first half and could have had more than one goal. Second half, we were more clinical after an untidy 10 minutes. Overall, a good night's work.

"At Rangers, there is always pressure to win, every game is a must-win game.

"We moved the ball nice and quickly and got good rotation, we got good pitch-time for our squad and we're pleased with the momentum we're gaining."

  6. Duffy delighted with Morton win

    FT: Morton 2-1 Dundee United

Morton boss Jim Duffy on BBC Radio Scotland

"I thought we defended magnificently in the second half and were a bit unfortunate not to score again on the counter-attack. Jai Quintongo was working on that in training this morning. It didn't work too well right enough, so I'm glad he tucked the chance away.

"Every single player has done themselves and the club proud."

  7. What next?

So, what do we have remaining in the League Cup? Tomorrow, League One Alloa Athletic visit Celtic and, on Thursday, Aberdeen meet St Johnstone at Pittodrie.

BBC Scotland will have those games covered with radio and text coverage.

The semi-final draw takes place immediately after Thursday's game.

  8. FULL-TIME

    Morton 2-1 Dundee United

The home fans howl in delight as the Greenock side hold on to reach their fifth League Cup semi-final. The last time they got this far in the tournament was back in 1979.

  9. FULL-TIME

Rangers 5-0 Queen of the South

A very comfortable night's work for Mark Warburton's side, with Martyn Waghorn grabbing a second-half hat-trick.

  10. CLOSE!

Rangers 5-0 Queen of the South

Niko Kranjcar steers a shot narrowly wide from 20 yards. The experienced Croatian has enjoyed the freedom of Ibrox in these last 20 minutes or so, with the visitors giving up the ghost.

  11. Tick-tock

    Morton 2-1 Dundee United

We're into the 90th minute at Cappielow. We'll get four minutes more in stoppage-time.

  12. GOAL Rangers 5-0 Queen of the South

    Martyn Waghorn, 83 mins

That's the hat-trick for Martyn Waghorn as he gleefully smashes the ball home from a Niko Kranjcar lay-off.

  13. Post update

Rangers 4-0 Queen of the South

Kenny Miller, on as a sub for Michael O'Halloran, scurries after a long ball over the top for the 810,000th time in his career but his lofted effort can't beat the leap of Lee Robinson.

  14. Last push for Tangerines

    Morton 2-1 Dundee United

Ten minutes to go at Cappielow. Can United add to Nick Van der Velden's strike and take us into extra time or will the home side hold on?

  15. Post update

Rangers 4-0 Queen of the South

Matt Crooks is on for his Rangers debut, replacing Harry Forrester, who was a shade fortunate to escape with a booking for a reckless lunge not long before the hosts made it 2-0. Will Queens manager Gavin Skelton have something to say about that?

  16. GOAL Rangers 4-0 Queen of the South

    Martyn Waghorn, 71 mins

The Rangers striker's second goal is not long in coming as Martyn Waghorn runs across his man to meet a low Michael O'Halloran cross and he coolly stabs home with the outside of his boot. Lovely finish.

  17. DISALLOWED GOAL

Rangers 3-0 Queen of the South

This time Martyn Waghorn finds the opposite bottom corner with a first-time shot but the Rangers striker is robbed of a second goal by an incorrect offside flag. TV replays show that was a poor decision.

  18. GREAT SAVE!

    Morton 2-1 Dundee United

Morton goalkeeper Andrew McNeil keeps his side ahead with a fingertip save to deny Blair Spittal.

  19. Post update

Rangers 3-0 Queen of the South

The Rangers defence opens up allowing Stephen Dobbie to stride forward in the inside left channel but the Queens striker scuffs his shot wide of the far post.

  20. GOAL Rangers 3-0 Queen of the South

    Martyn Waghorn, 63 mins

And now it's game over as Martyn Waghorn finds the bottom corner of the net with a delicious curling shot from the edge of the penalty box.
