The programme starts in just a few minutes.

  2. FULL-TIME

    Iceland U21 2-0 Scotland U21

Scot Gemmill's first match as head coach ends in defeat in wet and windy Reykjavik, with Iceland moving top of Group 3 on goal difference.

Scotland's hopes of reaching next year's Under-21 European Championship fizzled out last month in what has been a very disappointing campaign.

  4. Icelanders score again

    Iceland U21 2-0 Scotland U21

Elias Omarsson doubles the home side's lead. It looks like Iceland will leapfrog France and Macedonia to go top of the group.

  5. McNamara future at York City in doubt

York City boss Jackie McNamara will resign if the team fail to achieve a good result in their next game. The Scot met the club chairman on Wednesday following a 6-1 defeat at Guiseley the previous evening.

"It has been decided that, if the team fails to gain a positive result at Braintree Town on Saturday, the York City manager will tender his resignation," said a club statement.

The former Scotland international, 42, was appointed last November.

  6. Young Scots fall behind

    Iceland U21 1-0 Scotland U21

The hosts are ahead early in the second half, with Aron Elis Thrandarson on target.

Chance for Scotland to respond swiftly but Oliver McBurnie can't beat goalkeeper Runar Runarsson from the penalty spot.

  7. HALF-TIME

    Iceland U21 0-0 Scotland U21

    It's wet. It's windy. It's goalless.

The Scots have no prospect of qualification for Euro 2017 but the hosts need a win to go top of the group with one round of fixtures remaining.

  9. Barton charged with breaking gambling rules

Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has been charged with breaking rules relating to gambling on football matches.

The 34-year-old is accused by the Scottish Football Association of placing 44 bets between 1 July and 15 September this year.

Barton is due to return from a three-week club ban on Monday following an internal dispute.

The player has until 12 October to respond to the charge, with a hearing date set for 27 October.

SFA disciplinary rule 33 prohibits players, coaches, club officials and referees in Scotland from betting on football anywhere in the world.

  10. Scotland U21 starting line-up

    Iceland U21 v Scotland U21

The game goes ahead after the referee and his team assess high winds.

It's been a blowy old day in Reykjavik.

  11. Hibs meet the mighty Munich

Hibernian Ladies v Bayern Munich (19:30)

Some more words of encouragement from Hibs players, present and past, ahead of the women's Champions League tie at Easter Road this evening. Bayern Munich bring their squad of stars to Edinburgh for the first leg of the round of 32 match.

Hibs winger Martin Boyle is engaged to marry Hibs Ladies defender Rachael Small, so I'm sure he'll be going along to the game.

  12. Gemmill ready for Under-21s bow

    Iceland U21 v Scotland U21 (16:30)

Scot Gemmill takes charge of the Scotland Under-21s for the first time today in Reykjavik.

There is some doubt over the game, with high winds in Iceland, so officials may need to make a late call.

Sadly, all hope of qualification for next year's Euros were dashed in a 4-0 thumping in Ukraine last month, prompting the premature exit of head coach Ricky Sbragia.

Gemmill has promoted a few lads that he knows from the under-19 set up, so it will be interesting to see how they fare against a team that needs a win to go top of the group.

  18. St Mirren return to Scottish Premiership 'a realistic ambition'

New St Mirren manager Jack Ross insists guiding the club back to the Scottish Premiership is a realistic ambition during his spell in Paisley.

Ross, 40, takes over with the Buddies bottom of the Championship and without a win in their first eight matches.

He is their fifth full-time manager in the last two years but says the club's ambition matches his own.

"The fan base, stadium, the training ground, everything points towards it [being a Premiership club]," he said.
