'Positives to take'

Hull 1-1 West Brom

Hull captain Michael Dawson speaking to BBC Sport:

"There are positives to take - we had an awful lot of possession but it's disappointing to concede from a set piece like that - we will have to look at that in training.

"When you are 1-0 down you have got to take the game to them and I think we did.

"It's nice to score - I haven't scored three in a season in a while - but taking the three points would have been better".

FULL-TIME

Hull City 1-1 West Brom

Probably a fair result on balance.

Hull were as abject in the first half as they were impressive in the second.

Your classic game of two halves and the spoils are justly shared.

CLOSE!

What a chance for West Brom to take all the points. The ball was swung into the Hull area and Rondon had time to pick his spot but somehow headed wide. He had to score!

Manager Tony Pulis lobs his chewing gum away in disgust, as well he might.

Nice moment for Tymon

Hull City 1-1 West Brom

Hull's 17-year-old full-back gets a nice ovation as he comes off in injury time.

Andrew Robertson - just back from injury - gets a couple of minutes.

Hull City 1-1 West Brom

It was like a shooting gallery at the back there for Hull. West Brom had wave after wave of attack, balls being launched into the area, but Davies and Dawson held firm.

CLOSE!

Hull City 1-1 West Brom

A warning moment for Hull there.

West Brom substitute Nacer Chadli fires in a free-kick that David Marshall does well to tip away for a corner.

This one is still very much in the balance.

Hull City 1-1 West Brom

One pass too many for the Tigers there. They almost worked it through the West Brom backline but Snodgrass' final pass for Mbokani was just cut out by McAuley.

A word for Tymon

Hull City 1-1 West Brom

We've not mentioned him today but he deserves a word of praise.

Josh Tymon - just 17 years old and earning just £160 a week if you believe what you read in the papers - is making his home debut for Hull at left-back today.

He's a big lad, very assured in possession and strong in the tackle. He's been up against the highly rated Matt Phillips today and has not been found wanting.

Hull City 1-1 West Brom

Another one of those devilish Snodgrass free-kicks almost brings more joy for the hosts.

This time it misses a Hull head but it makes for an awkward moment for Craig Dawson, who just about manages to clear.

We said Hull have been better in this second half and now it is showing in the scoreline.

Snodgrass was almost inevitably involved, swinging one of his trademark lofted, curling free-kicks into the area that was nodded down by Mbokani and Michael Dawson was there to finish smartly off the inside of the post.

Game on.

Hull 0-1 West Brom

West Brom have drawn the sting out of the Hull revival for the moment. The game has settled back into something like the midfield scrap we were 'treated' to in the first half.

Can Hull find another gear and get that equaliser?

YELLOW CARD

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

West Brom have been employing some time-delaying tactics and it's not been lost on the home players or fans.

The referee has got wind of it too and he's just booked Jonny Evans for delaying taking a free-kick.

SUBSTITUTION

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

Change for West Brom. James McClean replaces Darren Fletcher.

CLOSE!

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

If Hull are going to get back level you sense Robert Snodgrass will be involved, and the Scotland international has just come close there.

He fired in a low free-kick around the wall that forced Ben Foster into action, clawing the ball away from danger.

And another chance goes Hull's way. Snodgrass crosses for the unmarked Clucas but he gets his header all wrong. I'm not even sure if that will count as a shot on goal but it's another sign of Hull's improvement.

CLOSE!

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

Will the real Hull City please stand up?

This is night and day stuff from the hosts. They are as good at the start of this second half as they were terrible in the first.

A really nice one-touch passing move involving Snodgrass, Henriksen and Livermore ends with the latter taking a low shot at goal that Foster saves.

Now they really have the fans with them again.

Finally a shot for Hull...

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

It's taken 50 minutes but Hull have finally had a shot.

Robert Snodgrass takes aim from 25 yards and Ben Foster gets down to save .

Cue ironic cheers from the home fans...

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

Elmohamady's long ball forward is chased by Mbokani but West Brom goalkeeper Foster is out quickly to gather.

Hull look more on it at the start of this half.

KICK-OFF

Hull win a corner straight away. Better already from the Tigers, although the corner comes to nothing.

SUBSTITUTION

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

A half-time change for Hull sees forward Adama Diomande come on for midfielder Ryan Mason, who apparently is feeling unwell.

Two up top for the Tigers it seems. They need to do something.

HALF-TIME

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

A few boos around around the KCOM as the whistle blows.

Much, much better is required from the hosts in the second half.

Not a single shot, either on or off target, in that first 45 minutes for Mike Phelan's men.

YELLOW CARD

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

Sam Clucas is the second name in the book. He's gone in hard on Darren Fletcher and is rightly shown the yellow card.

CLOSE!

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

Another West Brom corner and another chance with a free header. Craig Dawson rising above namesake Michael Dawson this time but his header flashes away from goal.

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

Injury concern for West Brom's Darren Fletcher here. He pulled up after heading the ball unchallenged. An awkward landing I think.

He's playing on for now.

Incidentally, Fletcher is one of just six players who have played in all 50 Premier League games possible since the start of 2015-16. His team-mate Craig Dawson is another.

Hull City 0-1 West Brom

Hull have shown a little more urgency since going behind but silly mistakes remain.

Markus Henriksen just gave away a needless foul on Jonny Evans when the West Brom defender was under pressure and facing his own goal.

GOAL - West Brom

Too easy for West Brom.

Matt Phillips' corner from the left is met with a firm downward header by Gareth McAuley, who rose above the challenge of Curtis Davis to register his third league goal of the season.

One more for the Baggies and they will be sixth in the Premier League tonight.

YELLOW CARD

A yellow card all day long for Hull captain Michael Dawson there.

Nyom was rampaging forward from left back for West Brom and Dawson ran straight into him to snuff out the danger.

That's called taking one for the team.

One for the purists...

Hull City 0-0 West Brom

This has been a tough watch so far. We're very much in last-on-Match-of-the-Day territory here.

Come on lads, sort it out.

Hull City 0-0 West Brom

A decent chance goes begging for West Brom.

Livermore gave the ball away in midfield, allowing Rondon in and his lay off to Morrison ends in a shot flashing wide from 20 yards.

Hull City 0-0 West Brom

Hull look very short of ideas out there today, which is quite a contrast to last weekend against Sunderland when they looked energetic and threatening in the period before the hosts took the lead.

Are they nervous on their own patch?

Just on that last stat...

Hull City 0-0 West Brom

Worth bearing in mind that before today West Brom had averaged the lowest possession figure in the Premier League so far this season (36.7%) and were the bottom team in this ranking in 2015-16 as well (39.4%).

Only one team in it so far...

'The fans have their reasons'

Hull City 0-0 West Brom

Hull City manager Mike Phelan

Hull City boss Mike Phelan was asked about the club's low recent attendances this week, with many fans disgruntled with owners the Allam family.

"We can try and encourage them as much as we can to come into the ground to support the players, who are trying," he said.

"We are in the big league, the Premier League, so I would have thought that was a nice incentive to get involved.

"But obviously they have their reasons. I can't influence those who make that decision not to come."

Hull City 0-0 West Brom

Hull yet to show their hand in this match. The atmosphere in the ground is not being helped by thousands of empty seats.

Their last home match attracted an official attendance of just 17,768 in a ground that holds 25,000. Be interesting to see how many have turned out today.

Hull City 0-0 West Brom

We've had a lengthy delay while West Brom midfielder Yacob gets some treatment after he came off second-best in an aerial challenge with Livermore.

He's back on now and we're under way again.
