  1. That's all for today

Thank you very much indeed for visiting BBC Scotland's online and mobile coverage of today's matches. We'll get on with the post-match reaction now and we hope you can return tomorrow when Aberdeen and Celtic contest the Betfred Cup final at Hampden. Have a great evening.

We'll leave you with this lovely image of a wee Bonnyrigg Rose fan...

  2. Winners and losers

Fourth-placed Hearts can move above Aberdeen and Rangers into second spot in the Premiership if they can beat Mark Warburton's side at Tynecastle on Wednesday night.

if you're a Partick Thistle fan, what are you to make of the table this evening? They looked like they were heading for a first win over Rangers since 1993 but were stung by two goals from Gers sub Joe Dodoo. Add into the mix a win for Dundee, who moved from 12th to seventh with their win over Inverness, and a point for Hamilton at Ross County, and the Jags find themselves propping up Scotland's top tier.

  3. No complaints from McGhee over result

    FT Hearts 3-0 Motherwell

Motherwell manager Mark McGhee: "I think we were well beaten. They were more aggressive than us, they carved out possession. It was a difficult day for us. We've got to be better than that, we have to show more composure in possession. It was the shape; we played with a 3-5-2 and changed it at half-time. To concede the second goal from a set play was disappointing."

  4. Neilson pleased despite Well chances

Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson: "It was a pleasing performance all round. I think Arnaud (Djoum) is a top player. (Robbie) Muirhead did very well out on the left, he gave us balance. We gave up some chances; in previous games teams have scored them (against us). We don't want to lose goals but if you play open, expansive football like we did today, you open yourself up. Callum Paterson will be fine for Wednesday (when Rangers visit). Tynecastle under the lights, it's going to be fantastic for everybody. It's going to be a full house, it will be rocking."

    Scottish Cup third round:

    Bonnyrigg Rose 0-0 Dumbarton (FT)

    Airdrieonians 1-2 Livingston

    Buckie Thistle 3-5 Dunfermline Athletic

Elgin City 8-1 Hawick Royal Albert

    Forres Mechanics 2-2 Stenhousemuir

    Peterhead 0-1 Alloa Athletic

    Hearts 3-0 Motherwell

Hearts end their run of four games without a win courtesy of a Jamie Walker goal and a brace from Bjorn Johnsen.

    Dundee 2-1 Inverness CT

Inverness Caley Thistle's Lewis Horner was sent off in the fourth minute of added time, clearly too late to affect the direction of the game.

  8. CLOSE!

    89 mins Hearts 3-0 Motherwell

Lionel Ainsworth almost pulls a goal back for Motherwell. His chip over Jack Hamilton looks destined for the top corner but John Souttar manages to clear the danger. One of those days for Motherwell.

    Ross County 1-1 Hamilton

Ross County will undoubtedly see this as two points dropped. They dominated for long spells in this match and passed up a host of chances to put daylight between themselves and Accies either side of Liam Boyce's opener.

Hamilton return home with a point thanks to a Ali Crawford cracker, the little midfielder again showing his quality with a marvellous free-kick equaliser.

Martin Canning will be delighted with point, Jim McIntyre significantly less so.

  10. Insatiable Hearts

    87 mins Hearts 3-0 Motherwell

BBC Scotland football pundit Craig Paterson: "Hearts have pressed the game from start to finish, even at 3-0. Every time a Motherwell player gets the ball he is surrounded by maroon jerseys."

  11. CLOSE!

88 mins Ross County 1-1 Hamilton

And Hamilton threaten again! Buoyed by his wonderful free-kick to bring his side level, Ali Crawford lets fly with a blockbuster from 30 yards which beats Scott Fox and clears the crossbar by a matter of millimetres.

County manager Jim McIntyre must be wondering how it has come to this.

  12. CLOSE!

    85 mins Hearts 3-0 Motherwell

Hearts are pushing for a fourth goal. Robbie Muirhead drills a low cross in from the left wing, Conor Sammon gets a touch to it but Craig Samson does enough to push it around the post.

  13. CLOSE!

87 mins Ross County 1-1 Hamilton

In a match in which they have been pretty much dominated, Hamilton could well have taken the lead late on.

The ball drops to Rakish Bingham and his snap-volley is on target but Scott Fox reacts well to claim it.

If Accies do nick all three points it will be the ultimate smash-and-grab job.

  14. Third or above for Budge

Hearts owner Ann Budge says she will be disappointed if the Edinburgh side do not at least match last season's third-place finish in the Premiership.

But she says the board is fully behind head coach Robbie Neilson and will back him with resources to succeed.

Budge was speaking ahead of Saturday's home game against Motherwell.

"We finished third last season, so my view is that anything less than third is not very good," the businesswoman told BBC Radio Scotland.

"If we can qualify for Europe and finish in the top three-four, we'll be happy."

    Full story.

  15. CLOSE!

    79 mins Hearts 3-0 Motherwell

The ball lands at the feet of Conor Sammon after a mix-up in the Motherwell defence but the Republic of Ireland international drills his shot wide of the post.

  16. GOAL

    Dundee 2-1 Inverness CT (Tremarco)

Full-back Carl Tremarco gives Richie Foran's Highlanders some hope with nine minutes to go as he pulls one back at Dens Park.

  17. Well done, the Rose

    FT Bonnyrigg Rose 0-0 Dumbarton

Some of the Bonnyrigg Rose players applaud the fans after the junior side earned a replay against Dumbarton

  18. GOAL Ross County 1-1 Hamilton

    Ali Crawford

A stunner for Accies, a sickener for County.

Hamilton are awarded a free-kick around 22 yards out, slightly left of centre. Ali Crawford steps up and curls the most majestic of free-kicks over the wall and into the net.

The ball was so beautifully placed that County keeper Scott Fox didn't even attempt a dive. The ball was in the net before he knew anything about it.

    Cracker from Crawford.

  19. County hold slender lead

74 mins Ross County 1-0 Hamilton

    Martin Dowden

BBC Sport Scotland at Victoria Park

County really should be further ahead here.

They've created more than enough chances to finish this with Hamilton struggling to threaten at all really.

You start to wonder if there's a sucker punch on the horizon.
