    Egypt 1-2 Cameroon

Cameroon will raise the Afcon trophy for the fifth time.

Egypt ran out of steam in the second half and, for the first time since 2004, we've had an Afcon final where both teams have scored.

  2. Post update

    Egypt 1-2 Cameroon

The Egyptian players are gutted - there's more than a few sat with their head in their hands.

Cameroon, on the other hand, are loving life. Hugo Broos is twirling players around in the air. What a win.

  3. FULL-TIME - Egypt 1-2 Cameroon

That's that! Cameroon have won Afcon 2017!

Their first title since 2002 and the players are, understandably, running around and jumping on each other.

They've ended Egypt's 24-match unbeaten run and avenged their defeat in the 2008 final.

    Egypt 1-2 Cameroon

Egypt are taking an age for this free-kick. There's shoving galore.

Ahmed Elmohamady takes it and blazes it over the bar! All that wait for nothing. The Cameroon fans make plenty of noise in response...

  9. GOAL - Egypt 1-2 Cameroon

    Vincent Aboubakar

    Vincent Aboubakar celebrates

    Talk about timing! Vincent Aboubakar!

A lovely pass finds Aboubakar, the only Cameroon shirt forward. Ahmed Elmohamady takes a jump, doesn't get it and has his arm up for a free-kick.

No dice, says the ref, and Aboubakar dinks the ball up, takes a step and smashes home off his right foot.

Fissuh Hailu: If Egypt win, football is cruel & unfair. Come on Cameroon. We know you can come back!

Mani Thangadurai: Egypt are playing a VERY risky game...if they're fortunate to survive normal time they NEED to score in extra time.

Mary Jenn: Egypt are really having a difficult time. Kudos to Cameroon, they've been dominating possession for long!

    Egypt 1-1 Cameroon

No-one seems to be in a hurry to knock in a winner as Essam El Hadary takes an age to line up his goal kick.

Looks as though Egypt are already preparing for extra time.

    Egypt 1-1 Cameroon

Egypt get up the field for the first time in what feels like ages, but they're being pressed slowly back by Cameroon.

Amr Warda wins his side a free-kick from a decent position. Abdallah El Said stands over it, clips it in and. Well. It doesn't clear the first defender. Not great.

  13. Post update

    Egypt 1-1 Cameroon

The Cameroon fans are up in arms as the ball ends up in the net, but the ref had long since blown his whistle - the ball was out of play as Christian Bassogog tried to dink it into the box.

    Egypt 1-1 Cameroon

That was a cracking chance for Benjamin Moukandjo there - he had time to take a touch and line up his shot. He rushed it, though, and that's a good chance gone begging for Cameroon.

    Egypt 1-1 Cameroon

Captain Benajmin Moukandjo is left shaking his head as he picks up Vincent Aboubakar's pass. It bobbles on him, Moukandjo tries a little dink off the inside of his ankle and the ball ends up going up and over.

  16. Post update

    Egypt 1-1 Cameroon

Jacques Zoua gets the break for Cameroon. He's got Christian Bassogog and Vincent Aboubakar on either side of him, but he wants to do it himself.

In come Egypt, crowding him out, and Zoua can only curl it wide.

  17. Post update

    Egypt 1-1 Cameroon

Things are a little bit calmer now but there's plenty of space for either side to exploit. Cameroon are still keeping the majority of the possession though - 64% and rising.

Jacques Zoua looks to flick a corner on but Ali Gabr does well, getting in front of him to momentarily quell Cameroon's attack.
