  1. FULL-TIME

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

A priceless victory for Sam Allardyce, just his second since taking charge of Crystal Palace.

January signing Patrick van Aanholt with the winner in the first half as the Eagles move out of the relegation zone.

    Middlesbrough in deep trouble.

    Thanks for joining me.

  2. Post update

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Have Middlesbrough got anything left in the tank.

Into the last minute of added time...

  3. Post update

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Is this the second for Palace?

    Not quite.

Christian Benteke and Andros Townsend exchange passes, but the England winger's right-footed shot is into the stand behind the goal.

  4. Post update

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Wild from Adlene Guedioura as he strikes horribly wide.

Actually, it is so bad it goes out for a throw in.

    FIVE minutes of added time.

  5. Post update

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Palace boss Sam Allardyce is on the touchline urging his troops to get back.

The Eagles look like holding on here.

  6. Post update

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Patrick van Aanholt cannot continue and hobbles off, so Jeffrey Schlupp comes on.

Wilfried Zaha also exits and defender Scott Dann enters to shore things up at the back.

    Patrick van Aanholt
  7. Post update

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Goalscorer Patrick van Aanholt is down at the moment and receiving treatment on a foot injury.

He gets some sticks from the travelling supporters, so holds up a '1-0' sign with his fingers.

Best to stay clear of that, Patrick lad.

He is back up now through. Five to play.

  8. YELLOW CARD

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Palace full-back Joel Ward goes into the book for a rash challenge on the halfway line.

All hands to the pump now for the hosts. Can they hang on?

  9. PENALTY APPEAL

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Another penalty appeal as Wilfried Zaha goes down in the box under a Stewart Downing challenge, but referee Robert Madley is unmoved.

It could have been given, was clumsy from Downing.

Boss Sam Allardyce throws his arms in the air, he can't believe it.

  10. SUBSTITUTION

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Boro's last change.

Cristhian Stuani off and on comes Adama Traore.

  11. YELLOW CARD

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Shocking decision from referee Robert Madley.

Boro winger Stewart Downing dawdles on the ball inside his own box and James McArthur picnhes it off him.

In trying to retrieve the situation, Downing sticks his foot out, treads on McArthur's foot and brings the Palace midfielder down.

    The referee's whistle goes...FOR A DIVE!

McArthur is booked. Unbelievable. Madley deserves demoting for that.

  12. YELLOW CARD

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

The battle of the ex-Manchester United players and Wilfried Zaha comes out on top.

He nicks the ball away from Fabio, who lunges in and sends Zaha to the deck.

    Yellow card for the Brazilian.

    Fabio
  13. Post update

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Palace threaten with some neat approach play, but sub Adlene Guedioura's low shot dribbles into the hands of Wayne Hennessey.

That is easy even for a goalkeeper like Hennessey.

  14. Post update

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Boro boss Aitor Karanka looks like a man lost on that touchline.

He needs to gee up himself and his players in the final 20 minutes of this match.

    Aitor Karanka
  15. Post update

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Not for the first time, Palace striker Christian Benteke finds space and wriggles into the box, but his left-footed drive is blocked by a Boro defender.

  16. PENALTY APPEAL

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Cristhian Stuani goes apoplectic after his strike from close range comes off the arm of Palace defender James Tomkins inside the box.

There was no intent and his arm was tucked into his body, so correct decision from the referee.

    Stuani cannot believe it though.

  17. Post update

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Ben Gibson gets forward and his deflected shot from 30 yards out is straight into the hands of Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

That could have gone horribly wrong for Palace.

    Their day?

  18. Post update

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

Seconds after coming on, James McArthur nearly doubles Crystal Palace's lead.

Wilfried Zaha is the architect once more, running the Boro backline ragged with his pace and trickery.

He then has the composure to slip the ball through to McArthur and as he tries to get a shot away, he is edged out by the scrambling Ben Gibson.

    Brilliant defending by the skipper.

  19. SUBSTITUTION

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Sam Allardyce responds.

He sends on James McArthur for Yohan Cabaye, who was booked in the first half.

  20. SUBSTITUTION

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Another change for Boro.

Adam Forshaw comes off, former Palace man Adlene Guedioura enters the action.
