Goodbye for now

It's hard to know who should feel more hard done by there. Real Betis hit the woodwork twice, but Barcelona had a perfectly good goal not allowed. In the end maybe a draw was fair - but neither side will feel particularly happy right now.

I'll tell you who are happy though - Real Madrid, who remain top by a point - with two games in hand.

They host Real Sociedad at 19:45 GMT. We will bring you live text commentary of that game tonight.

See you then.

Real Betis 1-1 Barcelona

GOAL - Real Betis 1-1 Barcelona

Luis Suarez

Luis Suarez rescues a draw for Barcelona right at the end. Real Betis substitute Matias Nahuel gives the ball to Lionel Messi (not the best idea), who slides in Suarez to fire home from inside the box.

Real Betis' performance deserved better but Barca should have been level already with that chance which crossed the line.

Barcelona forward Neymar - who has only scored five La Liga goals all season (fewer than Sergio Ramos) - shoots right at Adan from just outside the penalty area. Time running out for the champions.

There is going to a lot of talk about goalline technology after this game, following Barcelona's chance that should have counted.

Real Betis goalscorer Alex Alegria comes off to a great reception, with Matias Nahuel coming on. They also bring off Petros for Rafa Navarro.

Real Betis should be 2-0 up, Barcelona have taken risks and Ruben Castro is through on goal in acres of space. He could try to go around Marc-Andre ter Stegen, or lob him - but instead shoots right at him. A huge let-off. Such an entertaining second half.

This game has really come to life. Ruben Castro has a shot saved for Real Betis and then moments later Aissa Mandi clears the ball off the line again - this time it hadn't crossed the line, mind.

Barca should be level

We've just seen a replay of that last chance. It's ridiculous. The ball was at least a foot behind the line when Aissa Mandi hooked it away onto the bar. Remarkable. Barcelona should be level.

What a remarkable game. Barcelona hit the crossbar now. They have a chance and the ball is cleared off the line onto the crossbar and away. It might even have crossed the line - Spain doesn't have goalline technology.

GOAL - Real Betis 1-0 Barcelona

Alex Alegria

Real Betis lead and nobody could argue it's not merited. Barca keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen makes a proper hash of dealing with a Betis corner and Alex Alegria turns the ball home despite Gerard Pique's best attempts to clears the ball on the line.

Alegria scores for Real Betis

Real Betis are so unlucky. Ruben Castro bursts into the box, holds off Gerard Pique and gets a shot away through the defender's legs. It cannons off the post. Barcelona are hanging on.

It's so close to a Real Betis goal and it would be so deserved - they've had 16 shots to Barcelona's five. Dani Ceballos lines one up 25 yards out and it hits the crossbar. In fact it looks like Marc-Andre ter Stegen tipped the ball onto the bar, but a corner wasn't given.

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic now goes into the book for a sliding tackle on Petros.

Real Betis make a change in midfielder as Ryan Donk, great name, comes on for debutant Ruben Pardo.

Barcelona make their second change as Jordi Alba comes on for Lucas Digne at left-back.

Real Betis' Petros is booked for putting an arm into the face of Gerard Pique. Well Pique went down holding his face but I'm not sure there was much in it.

Real Betis are working so hard here, every time they lose the ball they press and rush to get the ball back. Very impressive performance. There's no justice if they go on to lose this.

Riza Durmisi has a shot which is saved by Marc-Andre ter Stegen, but the goalkeeper is down injured again. He was caught in the head by Alex Alegria who tried to turn in the rebound.

Ter Stegen plays on again though. He's either indestructible - or exaggerating these knocks a bit.

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is OK to play on after his injury and he holds onto a free-kick well.

Barcelona made a change in midfield a couple of minutes ago, with Andre Gomes replacing Denis Suarez.

Barca keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen comes out of his box after messing up a Gerard Pique backpass and loses possession to Ruben Castro - the ball ends up with a Real Betis player, whose lob goes over the bar.

And Ter Stegen appears to have hurt himself in that Castro challenge.

Gerard Pique

Real Betis' top scorer Ruben Castro is in space but Alex Alegria goes alone and his shot is saved by Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The hosts are still edging this. If they played like this in every game, they wouldn't be in the bottom half.

A rare chance for Barcelona as Lionel Messi clips a ball over the top and Aleix Vidal's first-time volley goes wide.

Real Betis have a free-kick in an attacking position as Aleix Vidal chops down Dani Ceballos. But it comes to nothing.

Real Betis 0-0 Barcelona

Real Betis, who dominated the first half, get the second under way.

Live on the BBC

In the FA Cup fourth round, Millwall are playing Watford in a kind-of London derby.

You can watch that game if you are in the UK right here.

As it stands...

If the game ends like this, Barcelona will remain one point behind leaders Real Madrid - who will have two games in hand, including tonight's game against Real Sociedad.

Sevilla would have the chance to stretch their lead over Barca to three points too in second.

Italian Serie A

There is a game in Italy right now, kicked off about 20 minutes ago. Joe Hart's Torino (their official name in England now) lead Atalanta 1-0 thanks to Iago Falque's header.

Real Betis 0-0 Barcelona

Real Betis are unlucky not to be winning this at the break. Barcelona have been very ordinary.

Real Betis are doing some showboating now. The home fans are LOVING it.

A waste from Real Betis as the free-kick is tipped to Ruben Castro, who drills it over the bar.

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is the first player booked today as he hacks down Ruben Castro. Free-kick in a dangerous area...

Neymar plays the ball across the goal to Luis Suarez and his shot at the back post is saved by Adan - although he should have been able to finish it from there. It wouldn't have counted because of an offside flag. I'm not certain he was off mind.

Barcelona's Neymar

Real Betis goalkeeper Adan makes his first big save of the game. Barca play the ball from the back and Lionel Messi slips in Neymar but Adan makes himself big and produces a sprawling stop to deny the Brazilian.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi

Barcelona are dominating possession - 70%. But when it comes to doing something with the ball, Real Betis have had eight shots to Barca's three. You can see all the match stats on this page.

Get Involved - should Enrique stay or go?

John McEnerney: Luis Enrique should go, his uneasy relationship with the press and some Cules hasn't changed, he's done a top job and he can hold his head high.

Barcelona have a free-kick out wide, Ian Woan territory for 1990s football fans, and Neymar drills it hopelessly over the bar.

Neymar - no Ian Woan.

Barcelona's Neymar

Another chance for Real Betis but Ruben Castro waits too long to shoot and it's straight at a Barcelona defender.

Defender Cristiano Piccini flies down the right for Real Betis but then his shot (if it was that) is rolled straight at Marc-Andre ter Stegen. He might have been caught in two minds between shooting and passing.

It's all Betis at the moment and another defender, Riza Durmisi, lashes a shot over the bar.
