    Chelsea 2-1 Man City

    Manchester City

More from Pep Guardiola speaking to Match of the Day: "Congrats to Fabian Delph. He showed me how wrong I was not to put him on the field. He never complains."

"Vincent Kompany is so aggressive and it's not easy to come back from injury. I'm so happy for him.

"The Premier League is gone now, it will be between Tottenham and Chelsea. So now we want to the Champions League places."

  3. 'I'm a lucky guy'

    Chelsea 2-1 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola: "It's an honour to have the amazing players I have. We come here to Stamford Bridge and play the way we have, with huge personality. I'm a lucky guy to manage these guys.

"It's encouraging for the future. I'm optimistic. It's been like this all season but in the boxes we are not good enough. We created enough to score goals. It's our problem. But my players play in one way and that's why I want to be here - to help Man City for years.

"The people who are watching us must be proud of our fans. We did everything."

  4. Mind the gap

    Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Here's how we are looking after Wednesday's results.

Man City remain fourth, but Arsenal are closing the gap.

Man United, meanwhile, are back in sixth. They love it there.

    Chelsea 2-1 Man City

    Manchester City

Captain Vincent Kompany on BT Sport: "I can't say I'm disappointed with performance but I'm disappointed we didn't win.

"Physically we stood up to the challenge. You've got to give it to Chelsea, they don't need a lot of chances.

On his deflection for Chelsea's goal: "Maybe if I had a little more hair it would have got further."

Thomas Hollern: If Chelsea were poor then does that mean city were awful? Chelsea did what they had to do, win the game - get 3pts. Job done!

Donald: Eden Hazard's performance tonight was exceptional. The Spanish media will obviously have a lot more to speculate about.

Khalfan: Chelsea showing the rest how you win the league by beating the big teams.

  7. 'We are ready for everything'

    Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Goalscorer Eden Hazard on BT Sport: "It's a big win of course. It wasn't beautiful but the most important thing was winning games. After a defeat it's great to come back here and win.

It's always a real battle against City. Thibaut made a mistake on the goal but it wasn't his fault. He made great saves. We are luck to have him in the team.

"There's a long way to go but we are ready for everything."

  8. An unwanted record for Pep

    Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Pep Guardiola has now suffered six league defeats in a single season for the first time in his managerial career.

And perhaps a more stand-out stat: It's the first time he's lost both league games against a single opponent in one season.

It's a sitter from John Stones! I can't believe he has missed that - he can't believe he has missed that!

He was slightly un-sighted but he has to score from that range.

  13. CLOSE!

    Chelsea 2-1 Man City

JOHN STONES. How did he miss from there?!

The Man City defender is about three yards out and scuffs the ball over the bar. It looks like his legs got tangled.

    Late drama here?

    John Stones reacts

Chelsea are pushing forward, and Man City look like they've run out of steam.

    He's still got it.

Nolito replaces Leroy Sane for the visitors.

    Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Vincent Kompany gets a yellow card for a rash challenge on Eden Hazard.

Although the booking isn't ideal, it's great to see the Man City captain could complete 90 minutes for the first time in the league this season.

Sergio Aguero tries to turn the ball in from a very tight angle but it hits the side netting.
