  1. Good night

We have been waiting to see some Arsene Wenger quotes but he's not playing so we're off to bed.

We'll get some reaction on the site later.

Charlie Wetton: Arsenal being slated for winning 6-0 it seems. Only because the opposition were terrible. Liverpool won 7-0 last night. Note they are favourites to win the CL. All football fans exaggerate.

Tunde Paul: Very unusual emphatic win for Arsenal, you would expect they lose the next game (as a norm) once they lost a game. Character.

Mr Anderson: I am an Arsenal fan and to be honest regarding this whole Wilshere debate... Yes he had a great game but this opposition tonight with the greatest respect were quite terrible. Don't draw too much from this game. It's when he plays in the premiership and gets knocked about and stays on the ground for 10 seconds + which irritates me. Let's see how he copes in the Premier League games before making any judgments

We think this is a good place to leave the Wilshere debate for tonight...

  4. Elsewhere in Europe...

Red Star Belgrade joined Arsenal in the knockout stages after beating Cologne 1-0.

In Group L, Zenit St Petersburg sealed top spot - thanks to a 3-1 win at Real Sociedad, who finish second. Former Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic scored a bicycle kick for the Russians. Vardar and Rosenborg drew their dead rubber 1-1.

Ostersund lost top spot in Group J after drawing 1-1 with Hertha Berlin, but still finish second. Athletic Bilbao scored twice in the last 20 minutes to beat Zorya Luhansk and overtake Graham Potter's side.

Viktoria Plzen overtook Steaua to win Group G. Plzen won 2-0 at Hapoel Be'er Sheva, while the Romanian side lost 2-1 to Lugano.

Marseille qualified for the last 32 after drawing 0-0 with Red Bull Salzburg, who topped Group I. Koyaspor and Vitoria Guimaraes both needed to win to have any chance of going through - but they drew 1-1.

Zulte Waregem beat Lazio 3-2 and Vitesse won 1-0 against Nice - their first European victory since 2012. However both victors were already eliminated from Group K.

  5. 'We had to be in the right mind'

    Arsenal 6-0 Bate Borisov

    Arsenal

    Jack Wilshere

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere: "It's a bit of a relief [that I scored]. It's one of those games - it didn't mean anything because we had topped the group. It's one of those games you need to be in the right mind - we enjoyed it. We're happy to go into the next round. All we can do when we get our opportunity is give the manager a headache."

  6. 'We are doing our best to give the manager a headache'

    Arsenal 6-0 Bate Borisov

    Arsenal

    Theo Walcott

Arsenal's Theo Walcott speaking to BT Sport: "The boss told us to enjoy ourselves. We played with a lot of freedom. Defensively we were solid. Obviously, it's nice to get all these goals.

"There is plenty of competition when you play for Arsenal. We are doing our best to give the manager a headache to pick us for the team. We were very professional tonight. We will see in time what's going to happen."

  7. Post update

    Arsenal 6-0 Bate Borisov

"We are doing our best to give the manager a headache," says Theo Walcott.

When you've got Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in your way it's tough I guess..

  8. Post update

Let's all calm down about Jack Wilshere.

He Should Obviously Go: Jack has run the show in feisty conditions across eastern Europe this season, actually fairly decent preparation for Russia? #Livermoreout

Minhaz: Can't believe how much stick Arsenal are getting for WINNING 6-0! We had a simple job to win this match with our B-team. And those Wilshere haters clearly haven't watched him play in past matches where he's run the show.

Matt, Salford: Everyone throwing around big claims about whether Wilshere should or shouldn't go, why doesn't everyone calm down, long way to go before the summer, let's see if he actually throws out top performances consistently before we book his plane ticket, it's ridiculous because as of yet, he hasn't.

  10. Post update

Arsenal were excellent and professional then tonight, a thumping home win to warm even the chilliest spectator in attendance.

Paul Salmon: Can't believe people are forgetting Le Tiss for most naturally talented Englishman in recent times.

Daniel, Eastbourne: Love it how there's 5 different goalscorers plus an OG #unselfish

Adrian, Bournemouth supporter: Really pleased that Jack seems to be back to his best , he did really well for us last season

  14. Post update

    Arsenal 6-0 Bate Borisov

A rare Bate attack ends as Nikolai Signevich curls a shot wide from the edge of the area.

  15. Elsewhere in Europe...

Athletic Bilbao are set to overtake Ostersunds and win Group J after Aritz Aduriz gave them the lead against Zorya Luhansk.

Zenit St Petersburg are on the verge of winning Group L after going 2-1 up against second-placed Real Sociedad.

Nothing else has changed since our last update, except for Lazio coming back to level 2-2 at Zulte Waregem in a dead rubber.

Ash Williams: Arsenal always perform in a game that means nothing. How often do they do it when it’s all on the line?

Chappy: When @LFC did it yesterday, no one criticised. Now @Arsenal is playing a second rate team

Ajay the Gooner: Currently 10-2 aggregate score so far. That's the same aggregate score against Bayern Munich last year. Perspective needed!

  17. Post update

    Arsenal 6-0 Bate Borisov

Olivier Giroud is offside as he reaches a clip over the top. This will be Arsene Wenger's 700th win in charge of the club. Outstanding

  18. Post update

    Arsenal 6-0 Bate Borisov

So much space for Arsenal, Jack Wilshere almost doesn't want to do the easy thing and instead tries to conjure up a special goal and the chance is gone.
